We visited at 3.15pm on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty quiet at that time. At first the waiters and waitress were very attentive taking our drink orders and starters and main courses then the service died down quite dramatically. We waiting 20 minutes between finishing our main courses and a waiter coming over. We didn't see a single waiter in that time. Was it because the City/Arsenal game was on? Was it because they were preparing for a birthday party? Food great. Customer service OK. Time waiting below par. Can I suggest the young lads that were waiting tables give a little more attention to the customers as a way to improve your customer service. I do like Oscars for various reasons but on this occasion I felt the service was lacking.

Booked a table for 9 and when we turned up with 10 we were quickly accommodated. There was an ongoing wedding party when we arrived but they were not in the main restaurant area which we had to ourselves. Drinks orders were taken promptly, and the staff were pleasant. Unfortunately the staff must have been busy with the wedding party as the service was very very slow, it took a long time to place the food order and then another long time till the food was actually served. Fortunately we were not in too much of a hurry as we were meeting friends we hadn’t seen for many years/ decades. Overall from arriving to leaving, 2 courses took over 3 hours, on a very quiet ( wedding excluded) Saturday afternoon. The food itself was well presented and tasty, but quite salty and it could have been hotter. We did return one dish which was cold, which was subsequently removed from the bill, as the replacement dish accidentally ended up on the floor before getting to the table . A third dish was pronounced as “delicious”, by the, by this time, extremely hungry guest. Overall I would probably give the place one more chance, but before booking I would first ascertain that there were no weddings or large parties going to be there at the same time.

Whilst my Wife and I had visited Oscar's before, our friends had not. We all thought that the food; the service and ambience was very good. The staff were very polite and attentive. In terms of value for money it was excellent. We shall certainly be rebooking in the future.
