REstaurant was closed but booking was being accepted, when we got there, it was closed
Extremely rude staff members wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone
We were welcomed (or May I say welcomed) by a very rude server who made us feel very uncomfortable , we were told even though our booking was for 9pm we had to wait outside in the rain for 30 minutes which was extremely unprofessional and my I quote “get in now and order a main” was what we were told after waiting far past our booked time. Overall I would never return I could not even stay for a single drink, the server completely put me off and I do not recommend, the worst place I have ever been to in my many years booking in Dublin.
recieved a text on the day to confirm my booking arived and was closed
Th restaurant was closed when we arrived and looked abandoned
A very pleasant experience even in these strange times. We've eaten here before Covid on a few occassions and always enjoyed great service with great food served by great staff and this time was no different, apart from the screens separting tables and the face masks. We both felt very safe and comfortable.Staff very attentive and pleasant as always. We will be back again soon
It was a lovely experience dining here. The good and service was grest. They did a good job of implementing social distance protocols.
Pleasant staff, good adherence to Covid guidelines, felt safe and comfortable, good food and value for money. Will visit again.
We felt welcomed and well looked after the moment we arrived. The service was excellent, our food was gorgeous and we were very impressed with the generous servings.
Very friendly staff, very good food and a lovely atmosphere. We definitely recommend and will definitely eat here again next time we visit Dublin.
The food was amazing - the stew really warmed and filled us up. Our server was a very personable and kind man who struck up conversation with every table he was at. The whole atmosphere was homey and inviting. Amazing food and service!
Service extremely poor. Main waiter was standoffish and seemed quite rude. They only had bottled beer available and nothing on draught after having a “busy few days” over new year!!
I had the beef lasagne but it barely contained any meat mainly just cheese. Chips dry. Very steep at €20.
Prices very different to those displayed on this app.
Avoid avoid avoid!!!
All good, but they were out of Guinness draft!
Nous avons très bien déjeuné le jour de Noel. Très bon repas et personnel très sympathique. Merci à Opentable de nous avoir permis de passer ce moment agrèable et ce bon repas de Noel à Dublin.
Authentic Irish restaurant, small but with a lot of energy. No fancy decorations, Irish music in the background but not loud. The food is basic Irish, nothing fancy but very tasty. The Irish stew, lamb cutlets and apple crisp were very good. The service is outstanding and it was a very busy night. Would definitely go back.
We had a nice evening at O’shea’s restaurant. Food was tasty: I recommend the Guinness Stew and Lam’s chop. And service was thoughtful.
Fully booked, never went in even when we booked a table ahead of time.
DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE
This place does not look at open table bookings
They did not have our booking from open table and did not accommodate their mistake to try and fit us in.
Rudest staff I have ever come across.
DO NOT GO THERE
Delicious Irish food with amazing service. We loved the experience!
Always fantastic to eat here
Food was good. The place feels a bit rundown. Restrooms in the basement were nasty
Fantastic! I’m visiting Dublin and decided to pop in. I had the Chicken Kiev with a baked potato which was all extremely delicious. To wash it down I had yellow beer and still water. Highly recommend this place!!
We read about the recent reviews and thought it would be a great place to have our dinner, it turned out quite disappointed... I don’t know it is because of Monday night?
First of all, menu price on open table did not match what listed at the restaurant. I understand sometimes price slightly raise up every year because of the inflation. But that was not in our case. I really want to try the Irish stew (open table listed €8 while restaurant listed €19). I asked if there are small portions of the stew at lower price, the waiter said no. Surprise!
Hubby ended up ordering the lamb special for the night after hearing the next table of 6 all ordered that (with waiter’s recommendation), it turned out the four thin lamb cutlets are dry as wood... and the mint sauce is the worst we ever had. We look over the table beside us, theirs were not much better.
I ordered the house special combo platter (ribs, wings, onion rings and scampi). Ribs are ok (it came in later on a side plate I don’t know why). Wings are horrible (very dry, very bland). Scampi... all I tasted were the batter, can’t even tell what is inside. And no sauce was provided when the platter was presented. I had to request the sauce afterwards...
The waiter is nice. He took pictures for us and tried his best... but I am sorry... the food quality is really not there. We end up paying €46 for the two dishes with sparking water (not even alcohol!) We really felt this is the worst we had with the price we paid for...
It’s a small restaurant, actually a bit of a hole in the wall, but was very enjoyable. Staff was very friendly and service was excellent. We enjoyed the dinner and returned for breakfast a few days later
We were out for a family dinner on our last night in Dublin. Our service was warm and friendly and the food was fantastic! We ordered some classics and both evening specials. All delicious. The waitstaff made us feel special and helped us finish our vacation on a happy note.
We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. It is a small place with dated decor but a great place for traditional Irish dishes. My wife says you have to try the Irish coffee.
Oustanding service ! Amazing staff, got to know me and my family in a short space of time. It was my little brothers birthday and I’ve never seen such a friendly and welcoming resteraient. My little brothers birthday was made, defiently recommend
Excellent experience! We were a group of four. Our reservation was honored, and although a "cozy" venue we had a nice table near the fire. The food was traditional and well prepared. Everything tasted great, and although we could not manage deserts, we enjoyed everything.
Made a reservation for 2:30 for st Patrick’s day bc I knew it would be insane. Made the reservation WEEKS ago. Shower up 15 min before my reservation and was rudely told “were full. Go away. this is st Patrick’s day. We don’t do reservations.” I said wait but I made this reservation weeks ago, why didn’t you all contact me at all before today to tell me you wouldn’t honoring reservations today and he said “were full, we don’t do reservations on st Patrick’s day” and slammed the door in my face. Now we will of course never return. Don’t trust you have an open table reservation with this place, bc they pick and choose when to honor.
We purchased a voucher for 2 burgers chips and drinks for 14 euro.. The service and food we received was amazing. Couldn't fault it at all and would definitely return here again.
Always have a good time here. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and never fail to give us a great night! Would definitely recommend this for a nice date night with your partner or for a first date
Great! Best seafood and fish&chips in town.
Good food, served quickly. Would definitely go back.
The food was very good-lamb stew was delicious.
But they ran out of Guinness- in Dublin?!
The prices were 5 euros higher than posted on the website and they added a 17% service/gratuity fee. We suspect that was for tourists.
So let the buyer beware, but the food was good
Excellent meal and friendliness of staff, a great time in this restaurant
Traditional Irish restaurant, basic and tourist orientated. Lovely staff but food overpriced.
Food amazing lovely staff great music great value for money
Cold food and found plastic in the stew.
We came accross this place quite by accident. The food and service was wonderful we would return here and recommend this restaurant to anyone.
great location. wonderful people. superb, flavorful food!!!
May be a hidden gem of a restaurant! A bit hard to find, but I'm glad I did. I had a Guiness Beer, and Irish
beef stew. Wife had the Chicken Au Poivre. Very good . Excellent service and attention by the staff.
