Great food; fantastic service & lovely ambiance.
Thank you to Sabi ( I am sorry I have no idea how to spell his name but he was a Polish waiter with cool glasses) for being amazing!
We had a great night :)
Lovely food and fantastic service. We will definitely be back.
A great place, warm, interesting, friendly. I especially liked the open, wood-fired pizza oven on view behind the bar.
The food was fabulous - at least what I ordered (beetroot salad, bruschetta, pizza), though I didn't like so much like the look of my some of my co-diners' choices (eg chicken breast on beans).
I went there for a lunch with other men. I now look forward to bringing my wife there - and, based on what I told her, so does she!
One suggestion - please stock a good IPA beer in the fridge!
Hands down favorite spot for a business lunch around Grand Canal Dock. Consistent, predictable, high quality food and service. Able to get in and out quickly.
Enjoyed the atmosphere, food and wine very good, our waitress was excellent.
This place is gorgeous, really buzzy atmosphere on a Sunday early evening. We had some small plates to start and then a pizza, all excellent. The service is really good and attentive. The food comes out well presented, hot and on time - all served with a smile. Loved it and will definitely go back.
Excellent food, great atmosphere.
Fantastic experience start to finish. Staff where really friendly and helpful. Food was really tasty and presentation was amazing! Can't wait to go back!
Really nice food and the atmosphere was lovely. Good location for the Bord Gais Theatre also.
Excellent food, very friendly service and good ambiance made for a really enjoyable family celebration. Have eaten here several times and will be back again.
Great ambiance. Would be a great place for a date
Quality food and service. As close to real italian experience you can expect outside of Italy. Highly recommend. High seating leaves you in a more open part of the restaurant, while low tables have you sitting in the tunnel area under the railway line. Choose your seats depending on the night you're going after!
Good food, a little pricey? Service was good and just what we needed as we were going to a show so time was tight.
Pizza was horrid, no flavor no sauce didn’t even have herbs.
Room is noisy dufficult to converse if group is large. Food was average , my pasta tasted nice and was well cooked but was cold when it arrived at the table.
I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Italian food. The steak tagliatta was to die for. And the Tiramsu baked to perfection!
Beef was perfect
Fabulous meal. Wonderful food. Great service. Can’t wait to go back. Will be recommending Osteria Lucio to everyone
Overall was a very good experience. The starters and desserts were very good, main courses were over salted, especially the lamb. Ambiance was good, waiting staff were great.
It was for my boyfriend's birthday. He has been living in Dublin for the past 3 years and has said it's the best meal he has had in the city to date! Excellent place. Loved it.
Fab food and service, close to the theatre
Had pre theatre dinner and the whole experience was superb
Very authentic Italian food in a stylish setting, with excellent service.
Second time I organise a business lunch there for about 10 people. Always a great experience, speedy service and great quality food. It is definitely one of the places I'll go back to with the family.
The staff is amazing, thoughtful and funny - thank you for making our pre-theatre dinner night out an outstanding experience. We were sitting on the patio with the windows open - loved it!
The pizza was enjoyable but that's pretty much where it stopped.
I booked our table for 9.30pm but arrived early, shortly after 9pm, and explained that we would like to have a cocktail before we sat down for our food. We were shown to our table anyway as it wasn't that busy. We were asked about 3 or 4 times to order food to which we explained we would do after our drink, as we weren't ready to eat. We were then interrupted by one of the waiters telling us at 9.28pm that we had to order our food as the kitchen was closing. Why was our booking taken for 9.30pm if the kitchen closes at 9.30pm?
We were then constantly watched by members of staff - who were clearly waiting for us to finish our food and leave so they could close up, so we felt under pressure to leave the restaurant as quickly as possible, which nicely topped off the end of a not so great experience. The arancini balls were bland, the meat balls had about an tablespoon of salt in them and a mistake was made with our order which they could not fix it as the kitchen was then closed. It was just terrible service and not how things should be managed. I usually highlight these things at the time but I was so annoyed at how everything was handled that I didn't trust myself to give constructive criticism.
Another lovely visit here. Food and service top notch.
Good place for a quick bite. Service was good. Cocktails v good but very pricey. Brushetta poor for an Italian. Pizza was good but lots of fat on the pancetta. Overall it would be average. It's quite cramped and loud so not overly relaxing. The amount we paid was not relative to what we received.
I booked this restaurant for myself & 4 friends for the pre-theatre menu.
The setting & ambience is excellent. The staff are courteous & happy
The food itself was lovely, served promptly, but there was no rushing between courses or after dinner while we sipped our delicious coffees.
The only negative for me was the menu was a little restrictive, but then it is a pre-theatre menu so hard to call it a negative.
Would highly recommend this restaurant. I have picked & booked lots of restaurants around Dublin for this group of friends & this definitely would be in my top 5.
Delicious meal, fabulous service, lovely venue. Will definitely be back
Excellent food, service and ambience. Smart casual sophistication.
Great spot for food before a show in the Bord Gais theatre. It never fails to impress and the atmosphere is lovely.
Great dinner except for table of six women in their twenties getting drunk, screaming every sentence, not giving a damn that everyone else in the place was bothered by them. Manager and bartender seemed afraid of confronting them. Finally our waiter graciously did. You can't be afraid to toss people out of your joint if they are annoying everyone else.
Lovely food, service and ambience. A wee bit noisey low ceiling and trains overhead. Wilk reserve High table in next visit.
1.30 booking so most tables were finishing up so place lacking bit of atmosphere but enjoyable overall
The staff were so friendly. Food was very tasty and just nice portions. Restaurant is cosy and comfortable with a relaxed atmosphere.
Delicious food and good service combined to make a great night out.
A return visit - every bit as good as previous visits, both food and service excellent.
Starters were great, a bit more salsa Verde on the salt cod bruschetta would be good. Spinach tagiolini with Irish prawns was very disappointing. Pasta was colla di manifesto, really overcooked. The prawns were so tiny, I was expecting them to be much bigger. Wife's meatball puttanesca were perfect, so soft and the sauce was gorgeous. Apis pizza was really good. Negroni was good too. I didn't complain about my pasta and I'm not a keyboard warrior either but seeing as you've asked for an opinion.
