My wife and I went for a Date Night and our experience was great. The service for our visit was top notch. Our waiter had a great demeanor and was very knowledgeable about the menu and had excellent suggestions.
Always excellent. My go to place when I want Italian in DC
Always the best in DC.
Delicious food, price is not too cheap. Most pasta dish are very good. But the dining hall is very noise. The service people is slow
Thanks so much for making our one year wedding anniversary a very special occasion. You are the best!
Dinner was great and our server, Aneta, was amazing!
(Lunch/brunch) One of the most delicious meals I’ve had in DC. High quality ingredients, put together superbly. Everything we ordered from pumpkin donuts appetizer to pancakes and pasta was flavorful and done perfectly. Excellent service from prompt but unobtrusive waitstaff. We dined here often before the fire, and will be returning for more.
Always fabulous. Despite going here for years, the meals tonight were the best we’ve ever had. The fall menu is just fantastic!
Food was great, service was slow. Long wait between first and second course. Long wait for water, had to ask twice. Long wait for check.
Food and service are always good. Noise level makes conversation among more than two or three diners difficult.
From top to bottom, a sublime experience. We came for the Cappelletti, but tried the Black Truffle Moliterno as well. Phenomenal. Branzino was perfectly prepared. Excellent experience all around!
Was a married date night. Got to pick table and the waitress was very nice and talkative. Had an excellent appetizer Uovo al Tartufo. My wife had the gramigna Verde that was well done and very tasty. I had the braciola (bone in pork chop) and it was very well prepared and the presentation was fresh and new. We also had a glass of the super Tuscan house. Overall great food and evening - about $160 with tip.
Food was great! We had the burrata as an appetizer and I literally could eat it every single day. Sitting outside on a nice night is a treat. Our server was nice, but not very attentive- my soda was never refilled and sat empty for most of dinner, despite me trying to grab someone's attention multiple times.
We have been her many times--typically for a good, early dinner before a Nationals game. We're missing the octopus appetizer and were disappointed with the changes to the insalata Cacio E Pepe. The branzino was excellent though. My biggest complaint from this most recent experience: More than once the server removed finished plates while others, including myself, were still eating. Wait until everyone is finished!!! Also, wait staffed hovered waiting for any of us to be finished. It was quite uncomfortable. Service easily could have been much better and it would have been a more enjoyable dining experience. We'll think twice about where to dine before our next game with so many choices now in the area.
I liked the food. The server was very professional and did an excellent job describing the menu. The chairs are too hard.
The pasta is the hit here. Clearly fresh and a great value. Service is overall pretty good too. I was offered an indoor or outdoor table and my water glass was always full. Only disappointment was the seafood soup. The scallops were terrific but shrimp slightly over cooked and broth bitter. But management owned it and made up for it. I would go nightly for pastas if my hips would allow.
Pancakes!!! This is a brunch review. Loved the polpettine, bomboloni, and did I mention the exceptional pancakes?
Frittata, and tagliatelle, very good. Uovo and cacio and pepe insalata are interesting but not my favorite. Seating outside option in the navy yard waterfront.
We were visiting from Toronto and were looking for an Italian restaurant that was nearby. Osteria Morini was just the place! The food and service was excellent. We sat outside and had a great table. The area is vibrant with lots going on. Overall, an excellent experience. We will be sure to visit this restaurant again on our next trip to DC.
The food was good and the service was excellent. I would only say that the ambiance was not that great. A little bit empty.
Food and cocktails were delicious. Staff were a little over zealous clearing the table though. Came by multiple times within a few minutes to take drinks and food that we were still working on. Food selection and quantity were great for the price range though and had a ton of flavor
Love the food here!
Open a Chicago location!
I love the food there!
Attractive Navy Yard setting and convenient to Nationals Ballpark and other attractions. Food is usually good although after several visits the past two years, we find the menu and offerings a bit static and lean. Despite the restaurant's upscale atmoshere and and attempt at trendy menu offerings, prices seem relatively high to me given the rather casual surrounding environment. It is still one of the better restaurants available in the Navy Yard district.
We were one of the last tables on Labor Day but the staff was still very hospitable. Thank you so much for making us feel welcome.
Beautifully done dishes! Great ambience and amazing pasta!
The food, service and ambience were superb for our anniversary dinner. So why won’t we return? The parking. The valet for this and other restaurants in The Yards told me the car could only be kept in the garage until 9 pm. I would then have to retrieve the keys and car. That meant I needed to leave my wife alone in the middle of our anniversary dinner for close to a half hour while the valet retrieved another car and then I waited for him to retrieve my car. As I told the manager of the restaurant, it’s a shame that the parking arrangement took away from an otherwise terrific experience. But it did. If and when the parking situation gets resolved, we look forward to returning.
Wonderful ambiance sitting on the banks of the Anacostia; delicious rigatoni with mushroom bolognese and burratta with heirloom tomatoes
We sat in the back, great table, great service , and the squid ink pasta is to die for. Excellent all around.
We were lucky to find this place completely on accident! AMAZING homemade pasta, highly recommend the ravioli. Some tables have a view of the water.
Excellent food, well presented with great service.
This is one of my favorite special occasion or dinner restaurants. This was my first time having lunch there. The pre-fixed menu was priced well and is a great idea, but I didn’t love my food. The salad was overdressed and the rigatoni tasted like something from a low budget chain restaurant. The meal was certainly not the level I’m used to for dinner. I’ll stick to dinner here, which is always amazing.
we come here for a date night before hitting the nats game. Always a pleaser. A tad expensive relatively but the food is always good.
Food is always fresh and well prepared. We were sitting outside since it was a nice day - perfect business lunch
Glad they’re back after the fire with the same well prepared food and delightful setting we had seafood dishes and salads...as good as it gets.
This is the first time that we have ever been disappointed by a meal at Morini. The service was excellent, as were our first courses. However, I had the short ribs over polenta as an entree and was not happy with them at all. They were extremely fatty and I didn't end up eating much of them at all. Additionally, both the polenta and meat were overly sauced.
Will I visit again - most certainly for the appetizers, but I think that I will stick to the pasta dishes from now on.
The food was delicious and well sized portions (not too large or small).
