Osteria Romana by Andrea Reitano
Bravi e buoni
Very good food and excellent service !
Osteria Romana is a real roman Restaurant! Eating like “Felice in Rome” in front of Harrods it’s incredible!
Amazing Italian Restaurant!
Pasta lovers book this restaurants! Better than Italy...
Great little find , just off the beaten track.
Food was excellent and great service
We ate here for my partners birthday. It is a cosy little restaurant just off Knightsbridge. The food was delicious, I had carpaccio with fruity Parmesan, rocket and broad beans. I then had tuna steak, nicely seared and very tasty. Marie has oxtails which were rich and delicious. For dessert as requested the waiters brought tiramisu with a candle singing happy birthday. Also, I had a chocolate fondant which was perfectly gooey! We both drank wine by the glass, my red was rich and sweet, Marie’s white crisp and a little dry. They also gave us a glass of lovely dessert wine and a limoncello to finish - no charge. Service was very good. Not too expensive too and a large menu so you can come back and try more. I would highly recommend a visit.
Had a lovely evening with my partner. The venue is quite small but they seem to have a way to make it all work. Wine was delicious and the service was great. We felt comfortable and attended to at the times we required it. Food service was good, didn’t have to wait too long.
Overall a pleasant evening, would definitely return.
Great authentic Roman osteria, food is delicious!
Very nice Italian restaurant with a delicious food. Very small, so book beforehand.
Always great service and authentic food. Lovely cosy location - always a treat!
Little gem! Great Food and friendly service...
Very good value for money considering the prime location.
A little gem hidden round the corner from Knightsbridge tube. A nice touch was the bread basket with freshly snipped basil and olive oil. The pasta dishes were all very good but we ordered mixed salads which were forgotten but we really did not need. The waiter recommended a lovely bottle of red, which was so nice we wanted to order another but they had run out.
A little piece of Rome at a very cool location in London. The service, the food, the wine, everything in this place takes us back to Rome. Excellent menu with Roman tipical food, very different from a traditional generic Italian restaurant. Recommende if you really like italian food and want to seriously step up or take your loved one for a ROMAntic dinner.
Great service, food was excellent. Wine list is great but a bit pricey.
I have been a loyal customer from day one and I love it.
Great food in a very romantic atmosphere. When you step inside you feel like in Italy.
Great, genuine Italian food and a lovely cosy ambiance
I would definitely recommend this place. The food is high quality. The staff is amazing and very attentive. If you are looking for authentic Italian food, this is the right place.
amazing service , waiters were extremely polite ! Would recommend
Would like to give 4 out of five but a couple of the younger people in our party of five were not enthusiastic about their dishes, whereas we older ones were. Lovely atmosphere in this tiny tucked-away restaurant, and great service, especially when some of our party were late. Although we are used to paying high prices (Savoy, Ritz, Cinnamon Club, Oriental Bangkok etc), I had been wondering how they kept going for so long with so few covers - when I got the bill for five of over £300, I realised why. Three of us were on soft drinks and the other two just had glasses of wine.
We were there twice. Once last year and the second time last week. Last year the service was exceptional and the food was too. This year it was good but not as good as it was last year. The appetizers we ordered last year came with the personal recommendation of the chef. Last year the meatballs were perfect. This year the gnocchi appetizer was different and good and the meatballs had some hard spots that were unpleasant.
I would recommend it to a friend with reservations. I don't know if the management has changed but it lost some of its appeal.
So disappointing. Lovely space but appalling food. Gnocchi were really big, heavy discs (4 in a serve they were so massive and heavy) though the truffle sauce was lovely. Deep-fried artichokes where stalky and chewy. Tripe alla romana very good, but "authentic" spaghetti carbonara weird. Very al dente but sauce salty and strangely liquid with a hit of acid? surely it is supposed to be egg yolks, grated pecorino or parmesan and guincale? A side alad was rocket, shaved carrot and two halves of cherry tomato. Lovely montepulciano. the whole not worth almost 128 pounds. We won't be back.
Very cozy restaurant and Great value for money.
The best carbonara in London.
Excellent food and service I look forward to returning soon.
We were looking for a quiet spot to grab dinner and saw the reviews for this place, and we were not disappointed! The menu is both in Italian and English, and the service was excellent. They started us off with fresh bread and hand cut basil leaves (from a pot on the table!) with olive oil. It was a really nice touch to have them cut it right at the table. We started with the fried artichokes which were nice, but undersalted. (Most things are in London to us Americans.) We then ordered the Buccatini and the Cacio e pepe and both were incredibly delicious. (Nice portion sizes too!)
We couldn't leave without trying the Tiramisu and it was also very lovely. (Very traditional Roman style with lots of cream.) It is such a quaint little spot, it would be great for a date night or small group dinner. Bringing a large group here might be problematic though. Absolutely would go back again!
It was outstanding. Food was fresh and beautifully presented.
It’s a wonderful Italian restaurant .
The best Italian casual in London.
Very good quality and cozy atmosphere.
Great value for money.
Very nice place , small but nice atmosphere , great food !!
Before visiting this restaurant I saw few reviews. All very positive about the food and service with few negative comments about the prices so I was a bit worried.
Being completely honest I was surprised when the bill came- only £90 for two people with a bottle of wine ( including tips). The quality of the ingredients was great and staff was very friendly trying to make your evening special.
So great value for money and amazing quality and don’t forget this restaurant is in Knightsbridge.
Ps the best carbonara I have ever had in my life
It was a great evening full of lovely italian food and wine. We will be back.
Not exactly an authentic Italian place but service was great
Food was ok but more expensive than anywhere else in London that we ate in the week
If you like Roman cuisine, by all means come here. It was nothing special and over-priced. The waiter was friendly and helpful, although we struggled to get attention towards the end of our meal. They're a bit stingey when it comes to prawns in dishes. I would come here again but with no particular hurry as there are many better italian restaurants in the Knightsbridge area. Okay to Good, but not great and must try harder.
Great atmosphere for date or special occasion. Nice presentation of dishes and good quality. Recommended
Great location, good for a romantic dinner, small and cosy. The service is excellent although some staff have thick Italian accents difficult to understand. The menu is limited but with a good selection. Food is very tasty and presented well. The place is not massively overpriced but a little expensive, especially for starters but remember you are in Knightsbridge
Some stand out dishes... best carbonara... the artichoke was very average, batter really thick and greasy, and the other dishes were good. Service was excellent and staff super knowledgeable about the menu.
Best italian in London. Great location, great food , friendly service , very Romantic and not expensive.
The truffle gnocchi is just incredible!
Dinner with our 19 yr old while on vacation - felt like we were dining in Italy!
Excellent. Great location just off main street. Cosy small restaurant. It's a little gem. Food is amazing, real Italian very tasty. We had parmigiana as starter and matriciana and meatball as main. We also tried a tiramisu. Really great place high recommended. Staff very kind and helpful.
