The historic Ostrich Inn Colnbrook, Heathrow, dates back 900 years to 1106–supposedly the third oldest inn in England. With bar, restaurant, private dining areas and function space as well as bedrooms it caters to a range of guest requirements and modern expectations.
Today you can enjoy honest, tasty pub food, fresh local ingredients, in relaxed and comfortable surroundings, yet only a stones throw from Heathrow Airport and main transport links. Serving wine by the glass or bottle and a choice of real ales.
Exterior exhibits a wonky timbered facade, but lots of care and attention has been spent bringing this former coaching inn up to date, expect dark slate floors, open fireplace, brilliant jewel colours & stained glass, as well as sand-blasted beams & a cobbled courtyard.
If you are looking for a pub while staying near to Heathrow Airport, or simply because you are in business in the Heathrow area, we look forward to welcoming you. We're open 7 days a week and

No vegetarian options available, ended up eating one of the starters and a side. Food & service was average.

Sorry that there wasn't a full offering when you visited, we have adjusted our menus to meet more needs and currently have a vegetarian lasagne with salad, a macaroni cheese, and ceasar salad and a vegan thai/indonesian style curry. Some of these items are subject to change but will be replaced with vegetarian options. We hope you revisit and are able to try some of these dishes another time

Stopped here for dinner prior to pre-departure hotel stay. Really handy for the airport! Food was delicious. We had the haloumi fries and salt and pepper squid, both excellent. Roasts were a decent size with nicely cooked vegetable selection. The steak pie was superb, very tasty and lovely pastry (not soggy). Our server, Surj was friendly and professional. Would definitely eat here again!

Came for the Quiz night with Adam and had a great night. Atmosphere was lively, food was amazing and was nice to be in a separate room to the main pub. Wasn’t too much hassle coming down stairs to order however I would prefer to use an app or possibly a table service instead but was not a massive deal. Loved the heritage of the pub and really interested in coming back for a ghost Hunter night.

Thank you for your review and joining us for the quiz. These are being held every month at the end of the month, keep an eye on our social media for the next events details! I believe the next one will be a halloween themed one with a nice spooky backdrop for you! There are also our ghost hunts organised by our external organisers - Fright Nights Berkshire

Perfect setting for a catch up with friends. The staff were so friendly and helpful with suggestions, and went at our pace not trying to rush us but not too slow either. The food was so delicious too and we had a fantastic evening, thank you. We will definitely be coming back!

I have ordered a Large Fish & Chips, but I have been given a SMALL HALF PIECE of fish, and clearly the chef has cutted the fish in half. I saw the other table has ordered a large fish too, and also got half a fish. So this pub is trying to maximise the profit by giving customers LESS food small fish, but charging us as a Large fish. What a rip off.

Just be doing that, they have save ONE whole fish with 2 fish and chips orders from myself and the other table. And the fish tasted bland anyway.

And we have ordered a panko breaded chicken burger, but there were hardly any breadcrumbs on the burger, a bit at the bottom, nothing on top at all. It was not fried and dry, served in a cheap basic bun and the bacon was very pale and very fatty it was inedible. This chicken burger was absolutely disgusting and shocking. The chef has clearly given up. The fact that It was a ripped off, when I am having to pay for a LARGE fish, but they cutted the fish in HALF and pretended and served as LARGE. And charged us the full price.

PS they do Fish and chips in two sizes. Small or Large. Therefore, if you order a small fish, you will get small half fish. But if you order a LARGE fish, you WILL ALSO GET A SMALL HALF FISH anyway. To maximise the Profit. This is totally wrong.

For this reason we will NEVER GO BACK THERE again. Nor to give them another chance. It was a waste of time.
