Very expensive, but extremely good food. There was not a dish I did not like. The management was very kind when my friend and I had questions about the food. Great for special occasions!
Severely overpriced food, tiny plates - a place to go to take selfies and be seen
The food was terrible, the menu made no sense with all sorts of random options that didn’t go well together. The cod was tasteless and drowned with water, the rest of the food was hard to taste because it was so salty that the following day I had a dehydration headache. It was also very expensive. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.
Style over substance... decor and ambience great, food - expensive, some good, some OK. Won’t be rushing back.
Atmosphere and Ambience is really good at this place. Great place for the “gram”!
Service was very slow. I felt like there was a lack of staff. It was also very hard to distinguish who actually worked at the place!
Food was wayyyy over priced!
Very good food and attentive service. Great choices for a “tapas like” experience for everyone to share. Good choice of predominantly New World wines by the glass. Not cheap at about £50 - £60 Per head
However, WARNING! The menu shows that a service charge of 12.5% will be added. The bill, when presented, for three people showed a 15% service charge, and the credit card machine asked specifically if I wanted to add a gratuity. No mention of the one already included, and the choice had to be specifically declined (“if no, press Clear”). If I had been distracted, I would have added 12.5. And paid a whopping 27.5% gratuity!
Two small plates of eggs, two orange juices and two espressos for £65 and they added £5 to our bill for a charity of their choice. Don’t mind giving to charity but at least have the common decency to forewarn before adding it to the bill. The service was too slow and it’s unacceptable when there was only three tables being served. It was cold and raining outside so I’m not sure why they turned up the AC. The music was rather loud and one member of staff was wearing a very short dress that she kept pulling it down each time she walked by, not sexy. I think this place could do with a new menu and perhaps a new management.
A disappointing visit for our anniversary date. We were taken upstairs to bar area and had glasses of Prosecco but unlike other expensive London restaurants surprised not to be served any nibbles. After 10 minutes we got shooed down to restaurant. We sat down around 7.30pm to eat and felt rushed. We had been served our appetisers and mains by 8pm. Hardly a relaxing anniversary meal. The food was very mixed. Crispy shrimp starter excellent. Main course chicken was bloody and returned. The people two tables away also returned the chicken dish we think for the same reasons. Risotto edible but barely warm. Chicken dish replaced with beef rib. This was tasty but again barely warm. Very pricey for what is essentially fast food done badly. We will not return.
As soon as you walk into Restaurant Ours you do feel like something special is awaiting you.
The decor is pretty stunning, beautifully natural with the lights and plants.
We went here for our 10th wedding anniversary. The food menu is a sharing menu, food comes to you table as they are prepared. There is no starters and mains as a result but a mixture of different dishes.
Food was tasty, you could tell a lot of thought went into the making of each dish. We ordered the Alaskan Crab and spicy chicken.
Alaskan crab was simply beautifully prepared, buttery herby and melt in your mouth. Unfortunately at almost £30 it is barely a crabs leg and not nearly enough. The chicken had a delightful sauce to go with it, but ours was not cooked through properly. The lighting in the restaurant is very dim and we had to use our phone lights to see the chicken properly. The couple sitting next to us complaint of the same issue.
The management said the chicken is cooked sous-vide and hence it was cooked like this but in my humble opinion chicken that’s pink inside is not cooked properly!
Overall I’d say the restaurant has a wow factor due to its decor. It’s expensive, over priced for the amount of food you do get, and unfortunately my experience of the food wasn’t one I’d like to remember.
I’m sure I’m alone in this experience and I’m sure most diners find good value for their hard earned cash in this beautiful restaurant but unfortunately I did not.
It was unreal!!
Amazing and beautiful place. I would definitely come again. The food miso salmon and soft shell crab were so delicious!! And staff were more than happy to take lots of photos by the flower wall.
Most amazing meal for my partners Birthday! Ours couldn’t do enough to make our night more perfect! The food was incredible, the service was effortless and the cocktails were so yummy! Great for special occasions, already planning our next return!
They forced us to order way more than what we can finish and they asked for table back right after we are forced to order a huge desserts :(
Waitress spilled a full glass of redwine all
Over me, my friend and i were sharing a bottle of wine and as compensation they gave 1 glass of wine, at least give two so we can enjoy together. Immediate gesture should be take the bottle off the bill and remove service charge
Fab food fab service loved the whole atmosphere and vibe of the place.
Went there again after a not so good experience in 2016. Staff and floor manager still come with a certain attitude. Took us a few attempts to have a decent right table, after we refused one near main entrance, one near toilet entrance and one near service entrance. Restaurant was half empty on a Wednesday which the restaurant tried to make up for with loud music. Service was ok, but not good enough given how empty the restaurant was.
Food was very good though, but very pricey especially baring in mind ambience and service.
Considering we came with a voucher because of our last disappointing visit it was not great.
The food was very good and different than other restaurants. Quick service, polite staff. A bit pricey!
really nice night, did get rushed to leave the table though.
- interior design (really cool indoor/outdoor vibe)
- menu (lovely food, particularly if you like truffle!) although very overpriced, see below
- horrendous value for money - I've been to much more highly rated restaurants and paid less for more food (and of higher quality) e.g. a tiny piece of crab on raw seaweed (must have only been for decoration, inedible) for £30... My cocktail also arrived only a quarter full and only when I asked where the rest of it was did they admit this wasn't right and said they would top it up. Shouldn't have to ask..
- pretentiousness - so many selfies and pictures, so much money flashing.. great for people watching, but not so great for ambience and relaxed experience
I went to Ours with my friend from Germany. I was happy with her in here. The poshest Ours was very nice.....! The waitress was very kind and had idea about wrote down note they knew we were deaf that how the waitress communicated us what they are food and drink. The cocktail was excellent and food's really delicious but they're fairly expensive. We surprised decor was lovely and really fun. Also wall roses and atmosphere nice. x
The new menu is not, in my opinion better than the original (although the truffle tagliatelle is to die for). However, the oysters are the best I’ve had in Central London and the espresso martini is equally the best by far! The crowd were somewhat different this time, less local and more Essex based, making the ambience slightly more similar to that of STK. On balance however, I would return, even if it was just for the espresso martini alone!
Called 2 weeks before (valentines weekend) To be informed of a new minimum spend charge, which was fine however the menu was not one where you could spend that much. I was then informed the menu had changed and not updated online. Okay...sent new menu which was a lot nicer and justified a minimum spend until I get to the restaurant and the menu I was emailed did not align with the menu at the restaurant.
Upon ordering I was advised to order around 4 dishes per person...sure no problem...I then told the waiter I would like dishes not arrive all at the same time he assured me they would arrive separately allowing me enough to enjoy a few plates at a time. Well not my surprise they all arrived pretty much a a few minutes apart, to the point my table was overflowing, I didn’t get time to enjoy the plates. The hot food quickly and obviously started to get cold.
Next... waiters continuously kept asking to take my food away...really? A full plate of food you laid down 5 minutes ago? This kept happening throughout the night and what do you know....a 2 hour limit on the table.
So to conclude, a minimum charge implemented so close to valentines there wasn’t really time to find another restaurant. Food all coming at once despite being told it wouldn’t...and all to rush you off the table. I eat out at high end restaurants often, this is high end pricing mediocre food, and greedy management.
If you are after a romantic night next to a tree with fairy lights I am sure you can find somewhere else where you feel like a guest and valued for your money. (Racked up a bill btw) a whole table left full food which you can’t take away? Sorry Michelin star restaurants allow takeaway not like it’s something I often do but when it is that much food....
Great food but awful crowd.
Everyone was there for the sole purpose of posting their experience on Instagram, and the restaurant really shouldn’t shy away from telling people off when bright flashes go off.
Come on, do yourself a favour and keep it classy.
absolutely worst service! The food was simply ‘okay’. Not worth it!
Nice place good atmosphere.Food was ok.
Food was delicious no fault in that. Only downside was that you had about 5 different waiters, one or two forgetting what you ordered so you ask any other random waiter walking by. Also I asked for a special birthday message on dessert when making the booking and also when they called to confirm on the day, and they forgot and did nothing on the night. Really disappointed service was that messy.
The food was not as great as the last time I visited. Everything was quite salty. Service was OK, drinks took too long to arrive however. I also called the restaurant prior to arriving to ensure we recieve a birthday dessert for my friend - this did not happen and when I told the waiter he did not seem too bothered. Overall not great this time around.
A bit overpriced for the quality of the food
Amazing experience amazing staff
We went to Restaurant Ours this past Wednesday to celebrate a birthday, and we had the most incredible experience. The staff were extremely friendly, attentive, kind, caring, and all around amazing. The food was impeccable and were very accommodating as one of our members had some food allergies. Portions were great and the cocktails were superb. We still rave about our time there and hope to go back ASAP!
A little overpriced although fun DJ for my 17 year old son. He loved it
Amazing the service) good food and a place to feel good
The service started well on entry however we waited 20 minutes to order a drink, then half way through finishing our dishes our plates were taken abruptly. The lady that served us towards the end of our meal was extremely rude. I felt we were rushed to finish and get out so the next table arriving could be seated. I will not be returning sadly.
Amazing restaurant! The food, atmosphere and drinks were spectacular! Not only is this place good for the “Insta” with the amazing photo backgrounds from the modernistic entrance to the flower wall - Ours has it all. One of the best restaurants in London hands down!
Starters and cocktails were good. Main course food was not good. Waitress was awful and did not know what anything was on the menu! Also found small rocks in our seaweed salad :(
Food and place amazing, service could be a little better for the type of place.
Amazing, amazing, amazing!
Some places in London are so pretentious and judgemental about the clientele that dine with them and Ours were not at all! The staff were welcoming and friendly with a relaxed atmosphere and the food was incredible! Will be definitely be returning
Exceptional food, and amazing service, would highly recommend...Went there for my Birthday with my 5 year old daughter and my husband. Everything was perfect. Such friendly staff, very helpful and attentive. Would definitely be going back.
Best food I have ever eaten in my life. Beautiful restaurant.
