With attention to every detail, the chef and kitchen team has managed to perfect the preparation of food; from supply chain to the way it sits, and the plate it sits on. The emphasis is on quality of produce at good prices; the result is a wonderfully simple and affordable fusion of old and new Greek-Cypriot mezedakia / tapas style dishes in the heart of the west end.
Maybe our favourite restaurant in London.
Our first visit but it won't our last. Great cooked to order fresh and interesting food. The small plates allowed us to try lots of different flavours. Loved everything that we had and plenty of options for future visits. Really good value and portion sizes for sharing.
Always good food here, we've been several times now.
I really loved their house wine. Why we do not have the column for it?
Food is good, freshly prepared and served promptly. There was the time that we could not get much attentions for service because they were so busy dealing with other customers and were getting noisy.
But, I do recommend to have an early dinner there any time.
If you want good value nice food served in tapas style then go. The service is friendly and efficient. Not high end dining but an excellent evening out with friends.
Friendly staff and didn't have to wait long for food to arrive. I thought the food was good fr the price we paid .
Perfect food, intimate atmosphere and very central, combined with a reasonable price.
Great food and atmosphere!
Sadly it was pretty much empty on a Wednesday evening. The small plates are attractive though not outstanding. Reasonably priced and interesting wine list. Andreas was having supper there but not looking a picture of happiness.
Excellent food as always. Friendly staff, perfect for any occasion.
Lovely little place, recommended to me by a colleague but so happy to find it. Small and quiet although we were i fear a bit rowdy. Relaxing meal and no pressure to clesr or move us. Great location
Average food, overpriced, particularly with drinks. The ambiance is sad.
We had a small selection of the dishes and the seafood and vegetarian options seemed to be better than the meat dishes... Our pork souvlaki was a bit dry and seemed it was flash fried rather than grilled. Overall ok food for a reasonable price.
Delicious food and great service. The only downside was that our table was very close to another one so it was not very comfortable sitting until people on the other table left.
Traditional Greek food, tapas style. Modern restaurant with relaxed atmosphere.
Great customer service received and fabulous food!
Really gorgeous Greek food. Particularly impresses with the taramasalata.
Super tasty food, fresh ingredients and thoughtful service. One of the absolutely best Greek restaurants in London.
Best Cypriot food I've found in the UK! Will be returning.
Very warm welcome with friendly staff and attentive owner/manager, Excellent food and helpful staff. Tried to please with humour and kindness
Friendly staff and tasty food although adds up quickly with small plates.
Lovely Greek restaurant food is delicious.. best to get a few plates to share. Portions are a bit small so and bit expensive especially the hummous but really worth a try. Staff are attentive family owned so gives u a personal feel.
Ousia is a very nice place for a greek fine dining, at a good value for money. You can share tapas to try out many of the dishes and it's a quiet atmosphere, good to have a chat.
Excellent addition on Charlotte Street. The food was delicious, and they had both traditional and experimental Cypriot dishes. Tasty with excellent service
Great customer service throughout the evening, the staff were very attentive and friendly.
The food was delicious but it was too expensive for what it offered. For example 3 pieces of halloumi cost £6! This was concidered a Greek-Cypriot restaurant. If you go to Cyprus you can order a whole pita with souvlaki, salad and french fries for just £6..
Pleasant but nothing out of the ordinary. Watch the bill growing if you order too many small plates
Superb. Delicious, well presented food with great Greek wine and ingredients.
Brilliant, friendly staff. Excellent food. Attentive service. Can’t fault it! Great value too, especially for the area.
Pleasantly surprised to find this Greek restaurant option. The food was very tasty and the staff were eager to please. Would definitely return.
We met friends here for lunch on Friday; it's a great place to chat and surprisingly quiet considering the doors were open to the street. Meze type plates of food but not small portions. We had Kleftiko, Chicken Souflaki and some other food, all lovely but we ordered too much. Salads are generous, each is enough for two. I thought the food was very reasonably priced. Drinks seemed a little expensive by comparison - a small glass of Prosecco was £9 - perhaps I'm just not used to London prices. Overall, a good experience and I would recommend.
A place for wine and snacks. Waiter was a little bit annoying.
Excellent food and excellent service.
All courses excellent. Only marked 4 stars for ambience as we went at lunchtime and only 2 others there.
Really liked Ousia, the whole set up was top notch. I will be back here again and can't wait to recommend to friends.
Selected this from TripAdvisor reviews. We had a couple of dips to start, tried the melintzanosalata which I had not heard of before, not a big fan of aubergine but this was so good would definitely try this again. Simple greek salad which was really fresh and very tasty and a couple of dishes - whitebait and lamb cutlets cooked to perfection in particular the lamb. Afterwards I asked a friend, who has a Greek Cypriot son-in-law, for recommendations and he had taken his wife to Ousia for their anniversary. So, I made the right choice and would dine there again.
Had the most awesome evening at Ousia! The food was delicious, a great selection of wines including a gorgeous organic white, the owner Andreas was incredibly friendly and hospitable, the staff were hugely attentive and professional, and the decor was classy and minimalist. Perfect 5 stars and will definitely be returning 👍
Restaurant has been refurbished by the owner with new chef - much improved menu. Can’t fault the food and the Dover Sole in particular was excellent. Will be going back.
Excellent restuarant. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was very good. The kleftico was excellent, the taramasalata a bit bland, the spicy sausage was reportedly excellent and the grilled halloumi was very good. Prices were competitive and overall it was good value. My only suggesstion would be to get some retsina with a stronger taste - it was smooth but not exciting.
Lovely restaurant, and the food was fantastic - we sampled lots of dishes between four of us and everything we ordered was delicious. Make sure you order the artichokes: absolutely beautiful. The service was great too - just the right amount of attentiveness. We’ll definitely be going back - highly recommended!
