In the heart of South Bound Brook, Ovations serves a unique culinary fusion featuring sumptuous Asian and Italian cuisines in its relaxing and friendly eatery. For starters, enjoy the jumbo coconut shrimp with sesame garlic sauce and the homemade mac and cheese gnocchi, which display Ovations inventive aesthetic. Some of the house specialties include the pan seared scallops and shrimp with white wine sauce served over risotto, the braised boneless short ribs baked with port wine and plum tomatoes and the chicken sorrentina with eggplant, mozzarella and prosciutto. Ovations is also known for its incredible sushi rolls, such as the zen zen with egg, seaweed salad, crab, avocado and cucumber in soy paper and the mango roll with spicy tuna and avocado topped with mango and walnuts.
Be sure to visit Ovations during its happy hour “manager’s hour” Monday through Friday, where delightful drink and food discounts abound.
Great dinners- we were all happy with our meal from start to finish-will be back definitely!
Outstanding clam appetizer!! Next time would order twice,
Noise level was annoying even when the room was not half full at 1pm.
Same menu for both lunch and dinner, but will try again .
It was wonderful as always! My friends and I love ovations and the staff. They always treat us like VIPs and the food is always amazing! Their cocktails and wine selection are pretty amazing too.
I’ve been to Ovations quite a number of times for casual business dinners, and we always have a great time. The menu is extensive so there’s something for everyone, and the service is always good. It can get a little loud at times if the dining room is full, but it’s not a big deal because everyone’s enjoying themselves. The sushi is quite good, as are the pasta dishes and others. We give Ovations 2 thumbs up!
Very nice waiter and hostess ... felt welcomed and enjoyed our time there
We had great Valentine’s Day lunch date. The food was delicious and ambiance was so chill and relaxing. The music was soft jazz and lounge focused. We had an amazing time in the cozy semi round booth.
I took my friend to Ovations for her birthday and we loved it!!! Our server Chris was outstanding & we just had to leave him something extra with the management to acknowledge his service! The food was to die for ! We each had some of the best Italian food ever!!! The desserts chocolate mousse and cream brûlée were phenomenal. We will be back to try the vast sushi menu next time! I recommend the cozy and classy Ovation Restaurant for any occasion!
I was thoroughly impressed with Ovations. The service was fantastic, the owner & manager gave me a personal greeting which was really nice. Last but not least the food was outstanding. We all had steak, sushi, and salads. Everything was just so delicious. From start to finish we had an excellent experience.
Food is fantastic and priced well.
Great service. But noisey
Good menu selection and great food!
Great food and service. Noise level was a bit high though.
As always, perfect meal! I had the gnocchi which is superb all the time! Friends had the flounder which was yummy( I tasted) and chicken parm on my recommendation (best chicken parm anywhere!). Hubby had scallops and shrimp over linguine.. he aid the scallops melted on his mouth. Love Ovations! You can never go wrong!
They seemed lost and more concerned with helping larger parties than our small party
It was very romantic
Excellent food and service!!!
Service was unusually slow.
I love Ovations. The service is always good and the food is delicious. I love the menu selection. Very nice varied food. The specials are always awesome .
Farewell lunch was nice, but service was a bit slow, and there was a huge black fly buzzing around the table. Offerings are always good, but taking ~45 minutes to serve is a bit long, especially for a business lunch. Will try them again, as have had good luck in the past (albeit consistently slow service); staff is always pleasant and food is good ... just need speed for business lunchtimes.
The place was so loud I left with a headache! The Marsala sauce was watery and not very tasty. I left there very disappointed as it was my Birthday celebration with friends. Unlikely to go back.
Everything was great. It was our first time there. We’ll be back. The food, service and atmosphere were really very good. Thanks.
A bit off the beaten path, but definitely worth the trip. Service was great and portions were plentiful and well prepared. Caesar salad was great - we split one salad and was more than enough for each of us.
We will be back!!
Had the special, penne with shrimp, crabmeat, bacon, tomatoes in vodka sauce. Amazing!!! Hubby had the shrimp and scallops over Risotto... he said they were the most tender scallops he ever had. As always... perfect!
I took my teenagers and we had a great time. Relaxed but sophisticated atmosphere. Very warm and friendly but also chic. Many patrons were also enjoying date night at the bar. Sushi was great. So was the risotto. Large portions. Really enjoyed it.
Always have the best customer service, and the best food. It is why we always keep coming back.
Yellow-tail tuna special was great, and my husband’s veal picatta was excellent, too. The medley of summer vegetables was just right! Our server took good care of us, with just the right amount of watchfulness and friendliness.
the place itself is nice on the inside and the service is great, however I was not impressed with the food, I would much rather save my money for somewhere else. I do not believe it was worth the price, you can find better food somewhere else.
Drinks and food were delicious. We went on a Friday night the bar was packed and very loud
Everything was excellent, as usual!!!
Lots of rolls: our favorite was the Hi-Hater. They were fresh and soft and met the description but the spicy ones were not spicy, and the flavors in general were weak, hence my rating. Decent value at $10-15/roll.
Balsamic calamari was amazing
Enjoyed the dining experience, the meal was unique and creative. The calamari appetizer was outstanding
First time there Saturday 7/6 and lived it! Drinks were creative, as we the food! Went for the sushi and was totally happy with it...wife said “best I’ve had in NJ”
We will be back
Excellent as always!
I come here frequently for work lunches and work events, Ovations never disappoints. Food is always great, drinks are always refilled, and you can't beat the hospitality of the staff.
We live nearby and had never tried Ovations. When it came up on Open Table, I read the reviews and was surprised that people seemed to either really like it, or the opposite. We decided to try it, and were very pleased that we did. We went early, so we benefitted from the happy hour $1 oysters and lower pricing on some drinks. We then followed that with the stuffed portobello appetizer and entrees. Everything was quite good, including the service and portion sizes. We’ll be back!
Nice quiet small place with a lot of charm. The service was great and the food was very good. I had the lobster and crab ravioli and it was very nice. I look forward to my next visit.
The service was bad and the they did not split the checks and the waiter didn’t say anything until the last minute and they had the audacity to come outside and ask for a tip.
I have been dining at Ovations for many years. I brought another couple who were familiar with their other establishment “Social” and they really enjoyed Ovations. We had a wonderful meal and a great time as always.
