Fantastic, friendly and helpful service. Everyone was very attentive and informative. Food was fabulous, special treat but so worth it!
The menu was great! We didn’t think it was overpriced at all. The octopus was amazing. Only criticism is the wing beef was small as 3 pieces of it were just fat.
Definitely go back again.
The food and welcome received was second to none. We have dined here before but a while back due to pandemic. However the venue never ceases to amaze with its innovative menus, highly recommended.
Nice food, good in every area. We went on a Sunday. Personally, I would have preferred more menu options than those offered that are geared towards 'the Sunday lunch', especially considering the hot weather, but that may be something particular to me.
Great service from a welcoming team, lovely meal. Recommend the wing rib
Excellent food and service. Really enjoyed the night and the octopus was next level thanks for a great night
Staff are amazing so friendly and knowledgable about the food. Limited options to choose from but more than made up for in the exceptional tasty plates. Delicious food from nibbles to dessert - and we had something from every course. Relaxed and delicious, can’t really ask for more. We will be back - I’m informed their Sunday Lunch is very good and worth traipsing into Leeds for.
Always great food, fantastic service. Love this place
Amazing food - doesn’t look too fancy inside but it doesn’t need to be. They focus on the food and they do it very well.
Really great food. Best I've had a
In a while. Oysters, sardines and potatoes were incredible. Cannot wait to go again
We have just returned home after eating at the ox club headroom house to celebrate our wedding anniversary, & honestly I have to say it was the worst meal we have ever eaten. Really couldn't believe how many people were in there. Never got off to a good start the guy outside made us queue up & told us we had to wait in a queue even though we said we had booked a table. I actually asked was we in the correct place as it was quite embarrassing. Surely the restaurant could have some from from of house to greet people as they arrived & not have them waiting unassailably. When eventually seated & to add the restaurant had only been open 15 mins the glass doors were full of greasy fingers prints. Noting we are still in a pandemic they should have been wiped down. We eventually ordered, we ordered a bottle of prosecco & the waitress opened it & it went all over the floor. A guy came over wiped the bottle with a used tea towel & said we will give you something nice at the end. Wow what a statement just give us a full bottle of prosecco by the the way it should be served chilled not room temperature.
Our starters of lamb for my husband & sardines for me were luke warm & tasteless.
For our mains we ordered the wing rib to share, things only got worse cold, fatty & tasteless although the sauces it was served with were ok. I actually asked the guy if this is meant to be served cold he replied with we can flash it if you want to which I replied yes please. Well it came back & honestly no difference. We were quite shocked to be honest. We would never go back here even if it was for free. The guy brought us a piece of cheesecake to make up for the lost prosecco & didn't charge us for our 2 sides. Bill was £125 Discusting Mc Donalds or Wetherspoons would have been tastier. They have a cheek serving this to people. Never to return or recommend. UNBELIEVABLE
As lovely as ever. Welcome back. Oysters knock out and the brill was brill. His octopus was excellent too, must have been wasn't offered a taste. 😄
Service was excellent and our waiter really looked after us
The food was a massive let down - we got lamb for starter which was overcooked and really chewy
We then ordered the £68 steak which came out and was full of fat, chewy and tasteless - the only nice part of the main was the potatoes.
We normally get dessert but didn't want it to be a let down too so went elsewhere for dessert.
Would not recommend - expensive food for minimal taste
Hi Cat, Firstly let me apologies, this doesn't sound anywhere near up to our usual standards, ideally we'd always like to resolve any issues like this on the night so you leave happy and full! I think I've got your contact details but could you drop me an email to email@example.com so we can try and rectify this? We'd hate for this to be your lasting impression of us! Thanks Morgan
My first time back after lockdown and was not disappointed. All safeguarding measures are in place and apart from staff in face masks(and guests when moving about) it’s business as usual.
The menu is delicious from snacks to dessert and the staff happy to explain any dishes you’re not sure of.
It’s good to be back and Ox Club is still one of the best eateries in Yorkshire.
Wonderful food with superb service.
The lamb was so succulent and tasty will have to go back for more soon.
Thanks for a fantastic afternoon !!
First trip to Ox Club and can safely say it won't be the last.
Menu and specials board had a great selection and server was really helpful in recommending both food and drink.
We had a starter of grilled bread with chicken schmaltz, main of Borek and Lamb Belly Kiev with a couple of sides. Tasted incredible and we couldn't finish the generous portions. Wine selection was really good too, had a glass of the Salvaje which accompanied the food well. Just gutted we didn't have room for dessert!
Highly recommend a visit for lunch or a special occasion.
Delicious meal in a friendly atmosphere.
The Georgian wine was a great discovery and went well with the perfectly glazed pork chop
I recommend the grilled courgettes
Excellent as always. Our favourite restaurant in Leeds
Lovely as always. The meat was excellent and very good service
We lived the low key atmosphere, welcoming and friendly staff, no stuffiness at all and mouth watering food!
Great food and amazing service from staff. Can’t wait to go back!
It was a lovely lively place
What can you say about ox club. The staff food and experience is second to none
The staff are always welcoming friendly and very accommodating
The food is probably the tastiest in Leeds. You can see the chefs cook the food and both the taste and smell are wonderful
Thank you for a great day. We will return !
I felt the tables were a little close together which made me uncomfortable during the current times!
The food was flavoursome, however the meat was chewy, the vegetables and Yorkshire pudding arrived tepid temperature. Overall the experience was disappointing given the great reviews I read on line which was the reason i booked this place.
Sunday roast is epic. The beef is next level and the truffle cauliflower cheese is a must.
Really great experience. We had a Sunday roast, which was delicious. All of the vegetable sides were really well cooked, rather than an afterthought. Interesting flavours, great presentation. Would go again.
Desserts were great too. Service was okay, but I think mostly because they were busy, everyone working there was really knowledgeable and polite.
Thanks for a lovely lunch!
Really lovely experience all round.
Ox Club has always been my fave Leeds restaurant and I was pretty happy to confirm that post-lockdown they’re still on fuego.
Amazing food, lovely setting, couldn’t ask for more.
Fantastic Saturday lunch, had the beef which was superb and the staff made us most welcome on our first visit here. Will go again soon.
The food is rustic, hearty, and incredible. We couldn't decide what to have so we bought a wide selection from the menu. Everything was exceptional, cooked perfectly, and there wasn't a single "weak" dish. The Asparagus with Burnt Cream and Cured Egg Yolk (cream was cooked for 10 hours and pan deglazed every 10 minutes) really stood out for me.
The wine selection is also very impressive, and I thoroughly recommend the Pedro Ximenez sherry infused with plum to finish. Very impressed, looking forward to coming back.
Oxclub is a 10/10 as always, food is amazing, staff are so friendly and professional. Going again soon!
Amazing food and atmosphere! Our waiter was amazing as well. Recommending to everyone and will be heading back ASAP!
Fabulous Sunday roast one of the best I’ve ever had and the choc ice was spectacular- great size portions and really innovative ways with food. Definitely not your normal Sunday dinner 👌
Brilliant food, brilliant service - was great to be back!
The Sunday lunch was absolutely amazing! Would definitely recommend!
We would always recommend going to Ox Club, the food is outstanding and the service is so friendly and attentive.
Stunning food, the dishes are unusual and the menu always has something different to tempt the taste buds.
Fantastic food and service, shout out to the restaurant manager Joe, first night out in a while, Joe was a fantastic front of house personality. The food was super tasty and beautifully presented. In the word of Arnie”I’ll be back “
