Average experience at Oxo Brasserie, service attentive but food uninventive and wine list very basic. View wonderful as ever but overall an underwhelming experience.
Great location & wonderful views. The food was quite average, well presented but neither of us was satisfied - rather disappointed.
The main issue we had was with the dining tables and chairs. The tables are way too low - you have to bend down in order to eat. The chairs are quite hard and uncomfortable. I’d definitely invest into the furnishing as the current tables and chairs remind me of outdoor seating at a random local café.
Great food, beautifully presented, wonderful view & attentive service & so nice to hear some live music.
Excellent, food wine and service in a lovely location with great views
Much larger portion sizes than we expected. Friendly staff. Chilled vibe.
Visited whilst on holiday in London for a long weekend, we chose the three course special offer for £30 . Food was great ,views were amazing ,just a shame it rained and staff were helpful and efficient.
Lovely meal, great atmosphere and a view to die for. The restaurant surprised me with a birthday cake, what a surprised gift. Thank you. Truly enjoyed my birthday evening 😍😍😍
Great view from the terrace but the food and internal ambient is not worth the money
The perfect setting for my birthday lunch. We were able to get a table outside which was wonderful as it was a lovely day. Such a great view! The food was gorgeous, particularly the burrata and very reasonably priced for the wonderful setting. We were able to make use of the EOTHO offer which was still running in September which was an added bonus.
Amazing Sunday Roast. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Tables outside with fantastic views. This was our second time eating here and the quality was consistent.
Service amazing , plenty of choices
Aimen was fantastic helpful and smiled all the time
Views amazing well organized
Food was exceptional.
It was a shame that glasses and cutlery weren’t laid out on the tables, so arrived at a very bare looking table. Not sure if this is due to COVID-19. We weren’t particularly happy where we were initially placed but staff made a great effort to relocate us which was much appreciated.
Absolutely loved it! - food and drinks were perfect and great view
Great experience really looked after
Had lunch in the brasserie - great view, my sardines were perfect and enjoyed the chicken both from summer menu. Service was great and despite it being quieter than normal the restaurant had a nice amount of people making it lively enough but not manic.
Still one of the best locations immediately overlooking the Thames and breathtaking view of the London skyline, especially at night and when seated outdoors
Consistently high quality food, service and hygiene. It was a pleasure returning.
The exceptional service truly deserves a 5 star. The food is good and of quality but nothing very special as it is a brasserie. Great for a weekend brunch/ lunch. The restaurant and staff have taken good precaution with covid-19 while maintaining a personal touch and I like the no-manual and self-scan QR code way of operation.
Service was excellent
Im old enough to remember Oxo as a good quality restaurant but it’s clear that these days they are trading just on a fantastic view and their reputation. The food was very well... nothing special, just about bland.
Must do better. Can do better.
Great lunch outside on the terrace. Our waiter was fantastic. The food was served at a good pace and our wine topped up regularly.
Always have a great experience and on this occasion the waiter picked up it was someone’s birthday (we only mentioned it once) and came out with a candle in the pudding and happy birthday written on the plate. It made the day.
Great place, great atmosphere and really enjoyed the food and drink but the service needs some work
Service was not particularly attentive. Food was delicious though. Lifts weren’t working and when I tried to call reception no one answered the phone.
A welcome return to dining in London. Seated outside on a warm evening. Tables all nicely separated. Constant thorough informed cleaning.
Food was struggling to get back to normal quality. Steak over cooked but replaced in 4 minutes. Prawns were wonderful. Celeriac in satay slightly dry but nice combination. Cabbage not fully charred so a little limp. Maybe I am too picky.
Greeting staff and others, especially waiter Leo superb.
Loud, drunk man at nearby table, foul mouthed and offensive disturbed us for 2 hours. My companion urged me not to intervene. Eventually they drifted off.
Still a classy place.
Great restaurant, fantastic atmosphere and views of the river.
Great experience, would've been better if there were more vegetarian / vegan options
I simply love the place since the first time I‘ve been there!
The Bar, the Brasserie, the view, the people, the dining
I requested a table by the window and they did not disappoint. We were a group of 6 and sat in the corner on a round table where everyone could enjoy the fabulous views of the Thames and beyond. My only criticism was that there was a fairly large bone in the ox cheek ravioli. However the staff apologised for this and took the dish off the bill. It was despite this a very lovely evening.
My daughter’s birthday
Another superb meal at the OXO tower. It was my lady’s birthday, and the staff gave us a table by the window giving a fabulous view.
Delicious food and generally very good service created just the impression that I wanted.
I was a little disappointed that a token cake/dessert was not presented to her at the end of the meal, after the excellent start of table choice.
Great views, just a tad noisy.
Didnt dissaooint and I've been a number of times
Went for a friend's birthday they were trialing a new menu has we know this we wouldn't have booked.. For starter I had the onion soup which in face was just a bowl of soup with some bread on as the dreams soaked up all the liquid... For main we had the pork schnitzel which was dry we didn't eat and it was taken off of the bill but left dissatisfied as this was a treat for a friend's birthday and neither of us enjoyed the food
Lovely venue with great views on the South Bank. This place can get a bit noisy, so make sure you’re prepared for a lively environment. Food was delicious and cocktails too.
Staff were all very friendly/helpful.
Food was very nearly excellent.
And, a table by the window, with a beautiful clear London sunset topped our evening off.
Being New Years eve the brasserie was packed. Despite booking only table free was on top of the waiting station. But staff could not have been more helpful and had a lovely lunch at a window table in the bar. First class service like this is what differentiates most restaurants these days.
An excellent meal in a great environment with fabulous views. The service was excellent from the welcoming staff to the waiting staff.
Food was excellent, beautifully presented with lovely flavours.
Nice food and wine, waiting staff friendly but very busy, lots of Christmas parties on. Great views
The service was as amazing as the food. Attentive hosting, incredible food, all makes for an incredible experience. For the quality of dining experience this is incredible value, my sister (who was visiting) and I enjoyed it so much we had cocktails afterwards (which were also impecible). Thank you
