OXO Tower Brasserie
With sweeping views and an incredible garden terrace, OXO Tower Brasserie reflects the buzz of London life. An open kitchen and live jazz music adds an extra dimension to the dining experience. The Brasserie also offers an alternative to traditional afternoon tea, named Not Afternoon Tea, which features themed cocktails and cakes instead of tea and scones.
Guests can enjoy lunch, Not Afternoon Tea or dinner at the times listed below. OXO Tower Brasserie is just an eight minute walk from Southwark and Waterloo stations and a ten minute walk from Blackfriars station. It is located in the heart of London’s cultural district.
Service was very good on the ball fast and efficient. The tables we were sitting at were at different levels there was a part of 7 with 3 tables at different levels
The dirt crab for starters was a little greasy, 3 of us had the pork fillet as the main 1 of us ate the lot the other 2 left 50% of it as it was dry.
Oxo white wine very nice.
Food good, great venue. Service good.
Spent a fabulous 4 hr lunch on the Terrasse the food was delicious, plus excellent service as was the environment...
Until next time!
Great service and a perfect view . Good pre theatre locatoon
An excellent lunch on the outdoor terrace, in shade on the hottest day of the year. We all enjoyed our food and the service was excellent. Particular favourites were the softshell crab starter and the seared scallops main course. Fantastic views of the Thames and beyond.
An early evening outside on the balcony overlooking the Thames is a great way to dine. When the weather is warm and the sun is setting, this is as good as it gets!
Finally I dine at the OXO Tower and mainly due to the views even on a grey day was lovely. We had a light lunch of the roasted salmon salad which was very flavoursome and surprisingly filling. Also presented beautifully. I wouldn't hesitate to come back again.
We went to the OXO Brassiere for my husbands 70th birthday and it was all we could have hoped for. A bottle of champagne greeted us at the restaurant and set the tone for a lovely lunch. While the weather was a little overcast and my, otherwise perfect, soup could have been a little warmer we all enjoyed our meal, the view and the wonderful service.
It was great experience. Love the food, the view was amazing.
Beautiful views over the Thames, especially if you can get a window table or if it’s warm enough to sit outside. We thought that this restaurant would be touristy and mediocre, but the food was really good, everything fresh, flavourful and well-seasoned. Lentil salad was excellent, as was sea bass and perfectly seared scallops. Fairly large portions . Service was quick and attentive. Can be quite noisy during peak periods, especially if you’re seated near a large group.
Professional service, and the food was great, and the lunch menu is pretty good value. I don't think it has quite the high quality it aspires to, but overall very satisfied and of course one thing that doesn't change is the outstanding view!
Excellent, staff were outstanding, food was superb. Thank you so very much.
The area once occupied by the bar is now used for tables. This area is away from the big windows with view on the Thames and surrounding buildings, which are the main asset of the restaurant. We were seated unfortunately on that space, hence same price but completely different and much much worse experience.
Amazing location, great service but the food needs some attention; looks like the chief hasn't done any quality checking recently. Nothing terrible but not to the standard you would expect from this location and worse than the last time I visited.
Fantastic food, a fabulous view and the most special staff. Made our anniversary very memorable.
Excellent food and drinks menu, superb service, roomy layout, an outstanding view. Very friendly. Fun.
It was a little noisy and the service was just a bit slow but overall the view and food more than made up for it.
One of the best views in London but you get the sense that the best days of this restaurant are behind it. Food was average. Very expensive.
Courteous and fast service and the food was very enjoyable.
Our table for 6 gave great views over the colourful river at sunset. Our party represented 4 continents and we selected a whole range from the menu - fish, meat and vegetarian. The menu options included allergy sensitive choices and the servers were reassuringly well informed in this area. Ingredients were all cooked to our requirements , and in abundance! Service was excellent with all main dishes being served simultaneously by cheerful staff. All members of our party would - and will, I'm sure, recommend the Brasserie to others.
Good views of London, good service, iconic building, reasonable value for the quality of food, but quite noisy in restaurant (had to lean in to hear guest on opposite side of table)
Super service great food and a beautiful view
Honestly very disappointed as I thought this was advertised as “The Oxo Tower” and I ended up being seated in “The Brasserie”.... there is a massive difference. The Brasserie is similar in terms of food quality and service to Wagamamas.... not a special experience at all and felt like I was eating at a mass catered restaurant, with it not showing any of the panache I expected. Will not be dining again.
Superb as always. It can get boisterous and noisy - in case you're seeking a quiet dining experience - but it's not unpleasant. It's the kind of place where other diners happily offer to take group photos for you! And top marks to the initiative of their sommelier who took over the incorrect drinks order.
Excellent views from this elevated restaurant; food was very good but choice we felt limited. Excellent service and well priced wine list.
Despite this being a very busy Mother's Day lunch booking, the brasserie service was outstanding. Even with quite a few small children present, everything ran very smoothly. The quality of the set lunch was high too. Very enjoyable.
The service and the food was outstanding, What a great view looking over the river Thames in the City of London
We took our best friends to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary and although we had confirmation, they did not have it on their system, nor my name or telephone number. It was very embarrassing as I was worried that they would turn us away. However they happened to have a table outside so we were given that. We ended up wrapped in blankets. My pasta dish was cold so didn’t eat it, but to be fair they didn’t charge me for it. The food for everyone else was OK but expensive for what it is. Third time I’ve been as I love the idea of it, but sadly, it just doesn’t deliver. None of us would rush back. ☹️
Went for my 50th Birthday. Everything was really good, food, service and the cake we had. Really like coming here.
30th birthday lunch - a perfect occasion, great food and staff...cant fault the OXO!
Overall good but overpriced
Unfortunately upon arrival they claimed no booking for us despite showing them conformation and text confirmation and email! It was embarrassing as it was my friends 60th birthday lunch. There was no apology either for grilling us and not letting us in. Very embarrassing.
First time in the Brasserie. Good food, excellent service. Perhaps slightly pricey, but no worse than a lot of other places. Quite quiet, but a decent ambience. Highly recommended if you are going to the south bank.
Best service and food ever
Very nice ambient and food. Eccellente and family friendly service. Amazing
Unieke locatie. Goede brasseriekeuken. Leuke wijnkaart. Vriendelijke en attente bediening.
Maar wat een drukte en lawaai. Hier moeten ze dringend aan de akoestiek werken.
Girlfriends 25th Birthday
OXO Brasserie was very disappointing. Everything was mediocre and had nothing of the quality and class it used to have a few years back. The only thing that was good was the view.
I am not sure I have ever written a bad review. Usually I just don’t do the survey if I wasn’t thrilled. This, however, warrants a review. Perhaps it was because it was late on a Sunday night (this was a post-Royal Festival Hall dinner), but the quality of my main course — scallops dish — was insultingly bad. Three small (size of a US quarter) scallops, soggy potato wedges and the vegetables unmemorable. The wine was good, but even my friend’s prime rib wasn’t that good. Also, i showed up at 21:30 on the dot, and my friend at 21:35. Since reservations on OpenTable were available up until 22:15, it was made very clear we needed to order and eat very quickly. We didn’t dawdle, i promise, but it was incredibly unwelcoming. Really a very disappointing experience.
Great food, attentive staff, lovely lively ambience, stunning London views.
