I love Peruvian food, so I was happy to see this place next to my hotel. I'll tell you a bit about the few later, but the first thing I really want to say is the hospitality here is freaking fantastic!! If I lived here, I would come back because they truly care about their customer. I had a conversation with a few different members of their staff, and it felt like a community. That to me makes me feel extremely welcomed, and it didn't feel fake at all. The people working here are happy to be working together and it shows!
Ok, for the food... I started with the sea bass ceviche karma and it was fantastic! Super fresh and had this kick to it was amazing period then I had the plantain dish, it comes with olives on top. Plantains are always delicious, but I love them in a savoury dish. And following that, I had the crispy lamb belly. Cool to get some belly that wasn't pork. And fantastic! Check out my picture.
Great food. We did wait for our booked table but they gave us 50% off food to make up for it which was a nice surprise. I’m not sure if the ambiance is as nice as the one in central but I still love it here.

There were not enough menus for the table and service was a bit sparse (probably due to the time of year). However, food was excellent and will definitely return.
Slightly different to standard Peruvian food served at Andina etc. More meat dishes that have different Asian fusion. Try the Aubergine salad - excellent.
Peruanische Küche in Shoreditch, nicht weit von der City. Küche Top, frisch, kreativ, ansprechend. Service 1a. Preise m.E. angemessen. Ambiente eventuell ein bisschen laut, das ist aber sicher Geschmacksache. Empfehlenswert!
Great food, service and decor!
The Christmas sharing brunch is great - A LOT of good food for sharing.
You must go here. Firstly the food is spectacular. Every dish is unexpected, delicious and perfectly sized. The flavours are incredible and real skill and care has gone into each perfectly formed portion. The cocktails and drinks menu is the same. Varied and interestly and carefully curated and I loved the alcohol free selection so everyone could be included. The atmosphere is brilliant. Lively and interesting but inclusive enough that everyone felt comfortable. There were interesting feature like the open kitchen and scores of greenery and the lovely wood and metal it has both an intimate and communal feel. Finally the service is brilliant. It feels personal and like every person is truly invested in the restaurant, the quality and the experience. I cannot recommend Pachamama East enough. They are doing something really special and I cant wait to return.
We had a table for 2 and visited the restaurant on a Monday lunch time (as it is fairly new, it was very quiet). We received excellent service and the food was delicious! The décor in there is cool, lots of plants which is nice and relaxing. I also loved the neon sign in the toilets and the 'papa' and 'mama' signs on the doors, which are a nice touch.
We cannot wait to return with our friends, as we thoroughly enjoyed sharing all the different plates. I can highly recommend trying all the ceviche and the octopus dish, washed down with the PACHAMAMA cocktail too :-)
Excellent tasty food, all the staff were polite and helpful. We got there for 6:30 and it was very quiet but was very busy by the time we left at 20:45.
Great place, great music (a bit loud at some point) but the food is simply amazing !
We choose the tasting menu which definitely worth the price for the amount of food and the excellent quality you get ! So much new tastes as well !
We will definitely go back to this place and try more of their cocktails.
Fantastic new addition to the restaurants in Shoreditch. Every dish we tried was delicious and fresh. Great choice of options too. Also really enjoyed the Pisco sours and the wine list...

Affordable as there was a 50% offer off the bill. Food was really good. The service was ok, couldn’t understand the waiter.
Pachamama East is a mixed bag - the food is good and the interior design tasteful, but it's let down by the astronomically high prices (they are much, much higher than comparable restaurants - and the cheapest bottle of wine is £32, which is too much). I visited on a Saturday and there was an in-house DJ playing mainstream tech house at ear-splitting volume, which made it difficult to chat and quite stressful to eat. I don't usually mind loud music in restaurants, but this was actively aggressive. Staff were a bit over-attentive without actually being helpful (it was hard to get a handle on which dishes could be adapted for vegans), and we were ushered out with the bill within less than an hour of seating.
We had a good experience with tasty food. The service was a bit slow but maybe due to the soft launch. They calculated our bill incorrectly.

Nice interiors and some quirky details including the sunken bar floor (it turns out the bar staff aren’t as short as I first thought).
The food is VERY tasty although the ‘small plates’ definitely mount up in cost if you’re a little hungry.
An overall nice place to be but I’d probably stick to a quick lunch over a sit down dinner.
Went to Pachamama during the soft launch. Food was great, however a few teething problems. The music was painfully loud, it was brunch but the playlist was full on rave. We couldn't hear or talk to our friends properly. Service could be more attentive and it's a little expensive for what you get if it wasn't 50% off.
Food was great and the staff was amazing, both a young girl and an italian guy. Will definitely go back soon
We went on the soft launch thinking it would be great value. The food was good but still came out at £50 each for dinner and a bottle of wine. Definitely would not come back here when it was full price as it is not worth £70+ each.
Quite a nice restaurant, with a more laid back vibe than its sister restaurant, Chicama, in Chelsea.
We had booked a table for the opening week, as there was a 50% off food deal. We got 4 dishes each, plus a dessert to share, and did enjoy all of the dishes. In particular, we liked the tuna with avocado and jalapenos, and the warm aubergine salad. That said, we did not find we felt very full afterwards, and did buy snacks later on in the evening - even with 50% off the food, we felt the food was probably overpriced for the portion sizes. I don't know if they specifically reduced the portion sizes to make up for the discount they were giving, as Chicama seemed to offer much more filling portions.
Given that Pachamama East will, in future, be priced the same as Chicama, I'd much sooner recommend Chicama over Pachamama East to anybody - I thought the vibe was nicer there, it was not as packed full of tables, and the food portions and choices were better there.
Absolutely in love with their food. Very loud music though which made it difficult to speak with my friends.
The less than enthusiastic maitre'd got us off to a disappointing start. I knew from the Marylebone branch that Pachamama play quite loud music but this was off the scale both in loudness and taste (techno - which in the right context I usually don't dislike)?? The industrial style makes for an even more casual atmosphere but the prices are more high end and the food while still tasty was in such small portions. The sea bass ceviche I had was honestly a third of the size of my first visit to Marylebone as was the famous Peruvian Chocolate - which wasn't as amazing as I'd remembered - new recipe/different chef?)
This experience was hugely disappointing to the point that I wouldn't go back or recommend it to friends. Such a shame as when they first opened, I was blown away by the welcome, the whole vibe and friendly atmosphere, and the food was the best I'd had in years and although it was an expensive night out, it felt more than worthwhile and memorable.

Food is nice but portions are way too small for what they charge - thank goodness I went during the soft launch - would not be happy paying full price for those portions!

Very trendy with solid food options in Shoreditch. On the pricey side and value questionable but a pleasant evening. Brunch more reasonable with a fun twist to usual options.
The food was excellent with some clever combinations, but the music was too loud, especially for a Sunday lunch-time.
Food was great and the service was even better! Would definitely recommend Pachamama East, the atmosphere is really good and decor makes the restaurant so nice. Again, the food was incredible and the staff went out of their way to ensure we had a great time.
I visited Pachamama East on the second day of their soft launch opening so I wasn't expecting a perfect evening. The food was tasty I wasn't happy with the portion sizes, they were tiny for the cost of each plate, it's small plates at the almost price of a main meal, I was glad I went during the 50% off food as I would have been hugely disappointed otherwise. The setting is good, nicer at the front of the restaurant, we were seated at the back, good vibes, I'd say it's a better restaurant to go to with friends. Decor and toilets are great with delicious smelling soap!
Overall nice addition to Shoreditch but I wouldn't choose to go back unless there was another discount, not worth what would have been £65/70 per person (without 50% food discount).
Excellent food , but portion v small for price
I don't feel I can properly critique the service because it was the first night, so it's okay that it was absolutely atrocious. That said, we spent 45 minutes awaiting our final dish and every time we asked, they said it would be out very shortly...so although I don't mind shoddy service in the opening days/weeks, there's no excuse for lying.
Food was actually excellent except the ceviche, which was disappointingly average. Portions were minute. Alcohol expensive (£32 for house). We left £46pp lighter post soft-launch and were hungry by the time we got home.
The food is incredible but its a bit expensive. The taste is really good and probably some of the best aubergine I've ever had.
Lovely food and excellent service, a great addition to Shoreditch. Loved the decor and some creative food.
It was a soft launch so I give this review knowing they will improve with time. It was clear that they needed to work out the kinks. The staff were friendly but no one knew who was serving what table. It ranged from 3 servers trying to take our drink order to struggling to find someone to take our food order.
The food was well seasoned, lovely flavours, but not necessarily well cooked. The crispy lamb belly had no crisp and ended up a lump of fat in my mouth. Equally, there was no crisp on the duck skin. It was limp and inedible. The whole sea bass would have been perfect had it not been drowned in sauce rendering it a soggy mess on the plate. We thought it was raw. The chef said it was cooked. Our server took it off our bill. It was a nice gesture. I challenge the chef to rethink how it is served if it was indeed cooked. Perhaps sauce on side so that the fish arrives crispy and flakey. The vegetables were divine and the best part of the meal.
We received a discount on the total bill for booking during launch. Otherwise, it would have been too expensive for the amount and quality of the food. I’m afraid there are just too many better choices in the area now, including well priced Peruvian.
Great food - best dishes for me were the stir fried noodles and stir fried vegetables! We tried lots of dishes on the menu - and all were very tasty!
Service was good, even though it was opening night. Food was pricey for the portion sizes - however would be a great special occasion place to eat out.
It was very noisy, as it was so open plan, and the toilets had music that was so loud it was uncomfortable!
Overall - great place to eat and would love to try more of the menu.
