unique experience to its sister sites, which have developed a strong following for their vibrant food and ambience, as it is the first to explore the delicious spectrum of Asian flavours that are inherent in Peruvian cuisine.
The setting of The Spice Room is a wonderfully soothing one and is to be discovered beneath the main restaurant area of Pachamama East. Booked a table for brunch on a Saturday. Staff was incredible - everyone from the person who seated us (and offered us such a perfect spot at the bar in the back along the window, especially as it was a nice day), to our server and the person working behind the counter in the back. The setting, ambiance, decor, music, cleanliness were all top notch. The food and drink options were varied, with great options for all dietary needs. And the actual plating of the food and drinks and the flavour of everything was honestly so good. Can’t wait to come back. Have already recommended to others.
The tasting menu is superb - inventive but unpretentious cooking.
Very, very good food. Very nice people. Great concept with the small plates. Not cheap, but absolutely worth it!
Excellent food and cocktails. Really brilliant knowledgeable staff. Beautiful decor. Would thoroughly recommend.
A tasting menu without being able to really taste anything in a normal time. Dishes were rushed, nothing special.
A really interesting menu with a variety of flavours
Food was excellent. Unfortunately it was too noisy which spoiled the atmosphere a little.
Expensive for small portions and were unable to provide any kind of bread to soak up a good sauce - only spoons. Not sure where this custom comes from. Aubergine totally burnt to a cinder.
Person we made the booking with gave us completely different information to the manager working that evening on an offer we booked with. It was only after a lot of discussions and them still trying to make us pay full price even after one of their staff member confirmed the offer twice over the phone - when making the booking and when confirming the booking on the same day. In the end they very reluctantly gave us the offer but made us feel like we owed them a lot of gratitude when they clearly have an internal communication breakdown and need to align their staff on offers.
Great food, very friendly and attentive staff. Drinks and food arrived very quickly. Nice, relaxed and fun atmosphere. Well priced.
Slightly frustrating that they make the full table order the tasting menu, but otherwise delicious
Great service and recommendations. The organic wine was fab as were the loos
Absolutely blown away at how delicious it was!! Great place excellent service
Really fabulous! Great food, excellent drinks and brilliant service.
We really enjoyed the ceviche, Sichuan chicken, duck on rice and the potato dessert. Excellent combination of flavours that are a bit more interesting than your normal meal out. Pisco sours were great too!
Definitely going again!
We had the tasting menu which was excellent value - dish after dish of fresh, authentic food. It was accompanied by a great value wine - the Castano Macabeo - and delicious pisco sours. The service was the real winner though, as the staff were smiley, enthusiastic and incredibly helpful despite being short-staffed on a fully-booked night. Delightful twinkly ambiance too, if a tiny bit loud as the night wore on.
Friendly, warm staff arms delicious food. I will be back
Great vibe and deco, excellent friendly service and interesting dishes each with their own spin - we majored on the small dishes and shared about six of them - all excellent - "Scallop ceviche, Jerusalem artichokes, truffle milk" was the best.
The food was just about ok. Having had authentic Peruvian cuisine where the focus is on freshness and simplicity of ingredients, there was too much done to the food. Service was also also ok as the waiter came and kept an empty bottle on our table while waiting on another table. Also, the drinks were average except the Paloma which we liked. The ambience was good with the DJ and all.
Brilliant food, brilliant service. Will definitely visit again!
The service was good at the start of the meal. We waited 30 minutes to get the bill after 15 minutes of trying to get attention. We asked for the bill twice then waited 30 minutes to pay. I had to get up to ask them to bring over thee PDQ machine and settle the bill. Surprising considering there were only 4 tables full at that point.
Came in for brunch and the food was good. Vegan toastie was great but the spinach and leek side was a total rip off (it was literally just spinach with about a teaspoon of fried garlic..). Also it was almost impossible to get the attention of the waiters. Had to wait about about 40 minutes before we ended up ordering, then they charged us 12% for the service charge which was mostly annoying because we didn't even receive good service.
I would recommend going to Canavans instead - great big portions, much nicer food!
Dear NSSG, I am sorry to hear that your experience at Pachamama East was anything less than admirable, although I feel you have expressed your frustrations in a rather churlish fashion. In all earnest, any review platform that allows individuals to use it as a binary soapbox from which to promote other restaurants is one such that the general public will pay very little attention to. Either way, I wish you well and hope that you manage to suppress your penchant for "great big portions".
The food here was so delicious. I’m gluten free and they were able to accommodate my needs. We had a very engaging server from Spain. There were tapas so you could share many dishes between 2 people.
We had ceviches, carmelized eggplant, charred broccolini,
and several others. Great ambiance and music too.
Some of the best food for value in entire London!
As always just outstanding! Unfortunately moving away from London, but just can recommend it to everyone and will be back if I happen ti visit LDN
Great place. Lovely food and good service.
Food is always great here! Served fresh to the table as and when it's ready. Very casual environment but top quality.
Food was great. Staff was excellent. Only thing was food was more Peruvian inspired rather than traditional Peruvian. A lot of Chinese influences in the dishes.
The duck and belly pork dishes were amazing and the tasting menu is good for variety, great that they do vegan and veggie tasting menus as well however the service wasnt on par at all on the evening I am afraid.
Ana made our dining experience one to remember. She offered service and kindness in way that made us feel like we were having dinner at a close friends place. The food was stunning, each dish had its own complexity and stood out for its own reason. This is certainly a spot to visit at least once a month.
Had to wait 25 mins past reservation time for our table and then about 45 mins after being seated for any food to start coming out. It was very delicious once it did, but a shame to start off that way. Music was also too loud for the vibe of the place, not sure a DJ is really needed. All in all though the tasting menu was very good and good value for money.
Had been to the one in Marylebone several times but first time here. Lovely restaurant, nice vibe, friendly staff and food just as fabulous as my Marylebone visits. Highly recommended! :o)
Enjoyable experience, great food lovely atmosphere. Would definitely go again
Can't recommend Pachamama East highly enough. Exquisite dishes, very tasty wine and cocktails, friendly staff, beautiful setting. Loved it and will be back!
Accommodation of vegans, lovely decor, friendly service, food pretty tasty.
Amazing meal. Great service and atmosphere. My third time eating here in about 3/4 weeks. I’m addicted!
The food was lovely and the service superb. It’s a really cool and vibrant atmosphere, although the music was a bit loud, probably by design to drown out the din, but it just ended up making for a difficult place to have a conversation at.
I’d still recommend it, particularly if you can make it at off-peak times, whenever those are.
love the pisco sours, love the service. the food is tasty, always full of unami. the treat veggies with respect, which makes them yummy. when i took my kids they ate vegetable dishes they normally wouldn't, and loved them.
Food is excellent, however had to wait more than 30 minutes for our booked table to be ready (i fear that it was not our bad luck but that they overbook the tables in general)
Perfect for an informal business lunch or for a fun dinner
