Pacifico - New Haven, CT
Our first visit to Pacifico and we were very pleased indeed. Sunday brunch was a great way to get acquainted with the staff and cuisine. Empanadas and the Salmon Tartar were both excellent starters. The Chaulafan was delicious and beautifully presented. The Pacifico Eggs Benedict may be the perfect breakfast. Staff was attentive and very friendly. Overall quite an excellent experience.
The service was outstanding. We were upstairs so the noise level wasn’t high. The food and sangria were delicious.
The only thing we didn’t like was the passion fruit flan. The passion fruit was too strong and the consistency of the flan was completely wrong. We couldn’t finish it.
We went to Pacifico to celebrate my wife's birthday with a couple of friends. We had a great time. The food was excellent. The drinks were perfect. Our waiter was the best. He made us feel welcome and was there to satisfy our every need. He was funny, polite and very knowledgeable about all the food and drinks available. Truly amazing!!!!!!
Cuban sandwiches and awesome tacos, what else can you ask for? The ingredients were fresh and that was definitely reflected in the flavour. Generous portions too, I will be going back.
I saw some mixed reviews and was a little hesitant to revisit the restaurant after so many years. But we had a great overall experience. We had a couple of margaritas, which were very good, the stuffed wrapped dates, the fried oysters and the paella which was not huge, but well portioned and very good. We sat on the 1st floor bar area/food prep area. I enjoy this spot because I like a little the atmosphere. I can speak to upstairs where they have an entire additional floor of seating, but I took a peak and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. We will certainly be back. Thanks again.
Amazing food. I can say enough about it. I was blown away! Service was fantastic and attentive!
Prices were as expected, though drinks were slightly higher than similar places nearby, but not unreasonable at all. We went early, so most of the meal was quiet and comfortable; It was clear it was going to get louder as the evening wore on.
Definitely try the salmon.
The food is really good! I can't wait to go back and try some other things. Very friendly and quick service.
Surely a place worth visiting, the food is awesome and well prepared, the cost is fair and it is always neat in here. Great service and amazing cocktails. Keep up the good work.
This a very calm and relaxing place with quality food and amazing crew.
The sea bass I ordered was so delicious I can easily say it was the best I've ever had. My appetizer was so fresh and tasty.
I loved this place and the friendliness of the people there made me feel comfortable.
I can strongly recommend this place, as I would be back as soon as I am in the area.
The food is delicious, the staff goes out of their way to ensure you enjoy your visit.
We have been here many times and always walk away having had a great experience. Delicious dishes at every turn!
I was excited to try Pacifico but overall it was a letdown. We had a groupon so we got two appetizers and two entrees with a glass of sangria. Everything we had was just bland, not salted and just overall unimpressive.
Absolutely fantastic! Everything was spot on including the cocktails. We ordered half the menu and we're struggling to find something that can be improved. I need to go back and find a blemish if that's even possible from what we experienced the first time.
A refreshing, Latin-inspired menu! A nice change of pace from the ubiquitous New American cuisine. It was super fun to be able to taste a few different menu items! I wanted to post a picture of the beautiful dishes, but I ate them too fast to snap one. The short ribs empanadas were flavorful. The seasoning on the halibut was perfect. The cocktails were unique and inspiring.
Great place for cocktails or a first date! Food is well executed as are the drinks. Prices are a little steep.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place! We had my husband's birthday party here with 7 of our closest friends. We selected the Halibut and parrillada special one of the best meal I've ever had. The service was on-point, our waiter was so kind to my husband and personal to the entire party. Did I mention the food was amazing? So yea, do yourself a favor and visit Pacifico. You won't regret it!
I've never had a bad meal here! My friend and I like to order new tapas and entrees every time to split and have never been disappointed. The menu is not extensive, but there's something on there for everyone. The quality and taste of the food is amazing, the service is seriously exceptional - the waiters are very attentive but not overbearing - and we never feel rushed out. The restaurant also validates parking for the Crown Street Garage across the street, which is a really nice plus for downtown New Haven. We always look forward to planning our next girls night here!
Delicious food and server was great!
Looking for some delicious Spanish/Latin American food with a cute and lively atmosphere? Look no further. This place has a friendly staff, amazing food and yummy cocktails.
One of the best restaurants in New Haven! Plenty of gluten-free options. No matter what you order, the food is delicious! Amazing cocktails. The manager is very attentive as the rest of his team!
Had a wonderful meal at Pacifico... my only disappointment was the online menu was different than the dinner menu on Monday night... I really wanted the vegetarian empanada, but that was not available.
The menu looked great but our overall experience was disappointing. We were seated upstairs and it was freezing - you could literally feel the cold air coming through the windows. Our appetizers were promising - the salmon tartar was delicious. Then we waited and waited for the rest of the meal. Our waiter was clearly untrained, never making eye contact, and eventually came over after about 45 minutes to tell us it would be about another 5 minutes before the rest of our food came out. They weren't worth the wait - the octopus dish was missing the potatoes and the flavor was overpowered by the dressing. It has a nice vibe and an interesting menu, but they're going to have to step up their game to compete with all the other great choices available in the area.
We visited for dinner on a Saturday. The menu is comprised of small plates that are meant to share, which are wonderfully crafted. I recommend the baby back ribs and duck quesadilla, both were phenomenal. Rafat was our server and he also did a great job of guiding us through drink and food recommendations. Pacifico is awesome, I will be back!
Awesome place for a dinner with friends or date. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The tequila selection is perfect and the dishes are amazing! If you're not sure which tequila to order, the bartender will surely help you make the right choice (hint. There's no wrong choice). Definitely will visit again, saved in my favorite places list.
Our waiter was the best. Took the initiative to make it great. The food was outstanding.
I wish you that you offered Valet.
Came for Valentine's Day and it took over 20 minutes for the appetizers to arrive and over an hour for entrees. I ordered a filet mignon medium-well and when I cut into it it was nearly raw like it was just seared and cold inside so I had to send it back because it was inedible at that temperature. My girlfriend ordered the shrimp and scallops however from a place that takes pride in Latin cuisine it was severely under-seasoned. When I got my new steak it was a smaller portion than what I originally had. Makes me think that they can't cook a decent size portion to ordered temperature. The tres leches pound cake was a concept that I think sounds good in theory but was poorly executed in what the idea of a traditional tres leches is.
Very disappointed with the visit to Pacifico. The hostess/manager was not kind enough to get us a seat elsewhere because where she seated us felt isolated and in the middle of a stairway. Every time the waiters or others walked by, we felt someone was going to trip over us.
The server was kind and attentive initially and that faded right after the first drink was served. We were not asked for another drink nor were our water glasses refilled.
The food was a pre-fix menu and everything (appetizer to entree to dessert) lacked flavor, taste and most importantly the food was cold.
Very disappointed that I chose this restaurant to celebrate Valentine’s, nothing was memorable and worth coming back to.
Our food was delicious, our server was pleasant and the decoration was beautiful. The prix fixe menu for Valentine’s Day was reasonably priced and we appreciated the amount of food given for the cost. The only downside was that by the time we left the place was packed - quite closely! All-in-all we had a lovely anniversary dinner :)
The portions were a little small for the price, particularly the appetizers, but the food was delicious. Also the servers seemed a little confused as to which tables got which meals.
Zach, our server, was very attentive without being overbearing. He made excellent recommendations which turned out to be amazing choices. The wine selection was good and dessert (flan) was fabulous. We will most definitely be back.
Excellent service and meal. Very helpful wait staff regarding my food allergies.
Good spot, great dishes and the paella is one of my favorites!
Visited with some of my friends and had a good experience. This Latin American food restaurant is quite busy on any occasion. I loved the Octopus, the Ceviche and Fish Tacos because these are very much delicious, well-cooked, and yummy. Recommended for foodies around.
We were seated next to kitchen which was extremely loud with staff yelling to each other. I could not hear my partner most of the meal. Found came out very quickly , It was just ok. In the past I remember it to be outstanding so I was disappointed. Had to ask waiter 3 times to adjust the bill as were were over charged for house wine.
The food here is amazing, and the portion sizes are just right. I’m a huge fan of tapas, and pacifico does them right. Everything I’ve tried on the menu is so delicious, and I keep coming back. Great staff. Great food. I am a regular now (or at least want to be).
Comfortable space with great food choices. Small plates for sharing. Loved the gambas and anticuchos. Good wine selection as well.
We found the noise level too high for a conversation. The food was good and our server was friendly and capable.
It was a pleasant experience. It wasnt my first time but, the first time during lunch hours. The staff were amazing and the food delicious. I would definitely recommend the restaurant to anyone. I almost liked lunch better than dinner.
Yum!!! The food here was fantastic 😋. Tried several dishes during the first visit and wasn't disappointed. The service was very friendly, helpful and speedy.
I always enjoy the food here. Whenever I'm craving latino food, this is my go to. The manager was really nice and I've never left unsatisfied.
