Our ever changing menu combines traditional tapas with personal interpretations from Michelin starred Chef Peter Sanchez-Iglesias, whilst staying true to the vibrant and comforting flavours of his heritage.
No tapas bar is worth its salt without a carefully crafted sherry list - just ask Paco! So, we've handpicked ours, and offer them by the glass, bottle or shaken into the finest cocktails.
Thanks to all our amazing suppliers & team we are realising another Sanchez Brothers dream - A modern tapas bar bringing a taste of Andalusia to Bristol. Whether you're coming para picar, for a glass of sherry or a tapas feast we can't wait to see you!
Fri - Sat 12:00pm - 3:00pm and 5:00pm - late
Staff are outstanding. Food experience really good. Loved our evening.
Ne. Excellent staff and the food is of high standard!!
Would give this a 10 star if I could. Amazing!
Fantastic! Certainly deserves all its accolades. Tasting menu and associates sherry pairing well worth it. Really knowledgeable friendly staff. Loved it!
A superb meal in a great setting. Had the chef's menu with sherry pairing and each course was incredible. One of our party was running late and the staff could not have been more accommodating to help us work round his delay. Great food, great vibe, great staff. An absolute treat of a meal.
We were a party of 4 who had booked as a treat following my daughters graduation. We arrived a little early on a cold wet night, please be aware that there is little space inside to wait although there is ample space outside, so try to arrive with that in mind during inclement weather However,we were lucky to be offered a seat at the counter whist we waited for our table to be cleared .Here we were able to watch the chefs prepare food which was a spectacle in itself.
We decided on the tasting menu and accompanying sherry flight.
The food was a delight from start to finish with imaginative use of well sourced ingredients. As the meal progressed we were all commenting that that particular course was the “ best tapas dish ever”.Of particular note we all found the stuffed quail ,hake and charred leek dishes amazing.
The staff without fault were all charming and very knowledgeable about the food and sherry flight.
This was an excellent meal and very fairly priced
Well worth a special visit ,We will definitely be back.
An intimate setting for a perfect evening. We sat at the counter to be close to the action of the kitchen and it was inspiring to watch chefs prepare each dish with such care and attention. We shared the Presso Iberico, a succulent, tender morsel of pork like nothing I have ever tasted, a must have!!! Intuitive, exemplary service. Our ever need attended to before we even had chance to ask. Plus the bill was far less than we were expecting, great value for money to top off an incredible evening. Thank you Paco Tapas!!!
Lovely evening out. Menu takes some interpreting, even with help from staff and despite the fact we have extensive experience of eating in Spain.
The best tapas place in the UK. We thoroughly enjoy every single dish we ordered
Food was great, so was the service. Although, the server made it very obvious that he was trying to upsell everything on the menu by being a bit too pushy.
The food was exquisite, the service impeccable. A supremely memorable meal. Can't wait to return.
This was our third visit to Paco and once again the food was absolutely delicious!! We chose a number of repeat dishes to previous visits but also some new one and all were seriously tasty. Drinks were recommended and spot on for the dishes we chose.
We’d return tomorrow!!
Yet again Totally Tantaslising Tapas.... superb......... fabulous flavours textures, along with exceptional service!!
Amazing food, cant fault anything, the service was great - the food fresh, tasting menu gives a good overview of all of the dishes they do. It was a special occasion for us but if I could afford it i'd come more often. Well worth every penny though!!!
We chose the Chef's Menu and the sherry flight and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Every course was excellent with some being totally superb. The service matched the food: professional, friendly, and informative (we like to hear that the ribs were cooked for 15 hours). This was our second visit and was even better than before.
The most amazing food experience I have ever had, a real amazing evening the am you to all the staff.
Great food, great atmosphere and great service. Just go - it’s brilliant
Fabulous tapas, all freshly cooked before your eyes - delicious
Extremely enjoyable evening. Fantastic food. We had the chef's selection which was a tasty, enjoyable range of dishes. The stuffed quail was seriously delicious. The pairing of sherry really enhanced the meal and worked very well with the food.
great service and fantastic food
Food is superb, our favourites were the prawns, lamb stew and monkfish. Definitely pricey but you get what you pay for and worth it for a treat. We had the table closest to the grill and it did get rather hot. I will ask for a different table next time. Staff attentive and friendly. Wine good.
Brilliant service brilliant atmosphere fantastic food great wine.... menu not completely clear. It is not a place offering a lot of choice for non meat eaters and it includes a lot of pork. Note that some fish dishes are cooked in pork fat which was clearly explained and the chefs prepared a fabulous alternative. But the egg dish also contained pork which was not stated on the menu. The staff were fabulous but I think they all need to get together to clarify between themselves what is in what dish and design the menu more clearly to show this. This is a fabulous place to eat and I really enjoyed it.
We chose to go for a family celebration (5 adults) on recommendation of our son who had been before. We all like Spanish food. We had a great time. The food was amazing. Beautiful quality ingredients cooked and flavoured to perfection. But still tapas. The red mullet on saffron risotto was truly memorable. The meat and quail dishes we tried were also wonderful. Patatas bravas were a revelation. Even the bread was beautiful. We also had a very drinkable merlot, quite a lot of it. The waiting staff were excellent giving good advice and bringing water without prompting and food at a good pace. We never had to wait, there is a high staff to diner ratio. The place is small with bar type seating, quite warm and a bit noisy from the extractors. Not dissimilar to bars in Spain then! You can see the food being prepared and cooked. Not cheap but good value for money and if you like food, go.
Great place with tasty food and buzzing atmosphere. Really excellent service.
Excellent all round - will definitely go back. Waiters all really friendly and knowledgable. Food all outstanding.
The place is very nice but the portions are rather small for the price. Serice is very good.
We have tried several Michelin Star restos and most of them are very pricey. Paco Tapas I would say, is one of our faves because of the exceptional food for reasonable price. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and they were able to make adjustments for requests. It is quiet and the ambiance is just lovely. The vibe is more casual than other Michelin Star restaurants so I felt more relaxed and less intimidated. We went for the tasting menu and the timing in between dishes were just right and the portions are spot on.
Great food great service. Chefs menu @ £50 represents value for money. We ordered perhaps three extra plates/sides which really isn’t needed, just being greedy. Service exceptional
Fantastic place, small and with a great vibrant atmosphere. Most dishes are simple (charcoal grilled meats, cheeses, tomato salad) but sourced and cooked with such incredible attention to detail that they become absolutely sublime. Chef’s menu and paired sherries worked perfectly. Staff are very attentive and courteous, but also relaxed and happy to have a laugh. Will definitely be back!
Third visit and this time went for the chef's tasting menu which took it up a notch and well worth doing. This is a great restaurant - nothing else like it in Bristol. One of the best for food and vibe
Absolutely brilliant, this was our third visit but first time for lunch, the staff were attentive & helpful as they always have been, the food is just amazing, it’s lovely watching it being cooked over the coals. We also find Paco Tapas amazing value for the quality of the food & the experience. We will definitely make it our first choice for dinner next time we are in Bristol 😃
God damn! I had never eaten in a Michelin starred restaurant before and so didn't know what to expect. I'm not exactly high class, so the welcoming and level of service provided were friendly and immaculate. The timing between meals was perfect too.
We selected the Chef's menu for £50 each, and I am so glad we did! Please go here! It's great value for the quality of food and the whole experience overall.
Consistently excellent food and a good selection of great Spanish wine
Excellent food, great service. Can’t wait to go back again!
Fantastic food, fantastic service/advice and great fun. Best Tapas ever and the open fire cooking results in lovely flavours. Overall, great experience.
However, serving wine by the glass in only 125ml glasses is too small and a bottle is too large. Why not offer larger glasses? otherwise a 250 ml glass (x2 125ml) can be between £12-18, which is really annoying and petty.
Also, at a Michelin starred restaurant, with top end prices, a paper napkin dispenser on your table is inappropriate and even a small linen napkin would be appreciated!
This was an enjoyable evening,we chose the tasting menu which was excellent .The atmosphere was vibrant and the restaurant modern and stylish. All the staff were attentive and knowledgeable about the dishes served.
We would definitely recommend this to our friends.
Best Tapas in Bristol. Really authentic, mouth watering. The taster menu was delicious and good value for money. Everything was so tasty from the bread & olives, gambas and boquerones, to jamon and stuffed quail.
Sensational tapas, superb service, cant wait to return!
Wonderful tapas, great service - good quality food worth the slightly higher than usual price for lesser quality tapas. You know you are being served by people that care about what they do for their job. Nice to see the open kitchen and feel the heat of the grill!
