An excellent way to spend Christmas Eve. Nothing was too much trouble, we just hope that the tier system allows us to go back again soon.
Amazing food. Everything was super fragrant. Every single dish was perfect. Definitely would come back. Highly recommend the lamb and the patatas bravas and the leeks. Very simple and delicious. Totally not pretentious especially for a Michelin starred restaurant.
Wonderful meal at an incredible restaurant. Food was unreal but ambiance and staff were even better
Top food destination.
My first time visiting and it did not disappoint in any area. The staff were amazing, upbeat and took time to detail the menu and give quality recommendations. It's a great setting and was complemented by an awesome playlist which was on loud, just the way I like it. The food served was just incredible, presentation was on point and bursting with flavours. Great evening all round, I will be booking a table again the second they reopen!
Beautiful meal, attentive and friendly staff made for a wonderful evening!
I've been to Paco Tapas on previous occasions and everything has been of a high level, unfortunately, on this visit we were made to feel as though we were doing them the favour and that they needed the table back. Very rushed service and inattentive staff. Additionally, the menu is written in the smallest font for a dark restaurant - so remember your reading glasses and/or a torch.
Absolutely fantastic place, food was sublime, service was impeccable, and a really vibrant atmosphere. Recommend booking well in advance as this place is always fully booked, great location aswell even more so in the summer months. Definitely will be returning
Great meal to celebrate the festive season, all dishes brought out all the amazing flavours in the ingredients. We enjoyed the Chef's Menu and Sherry pairing which were on point. Definitely a special occasion meal but we will be returning for some stand out items - shoutout to the leek, ribs and quail dishes.
Some service staff rushed through dishes more than others but overall did not take away too much from experience. I imagine some will feel the music is on the loud side but we enjoyed the playlist and felt like a mini party for two :)
As always amazing food. Great service and lovely atmosphere.
This place never disappoints. The service, the food, the drinks, the atmosphere - by far the best dining experience in Bristol if not the country.
Amazing. 👏🏽
Great quality food, good pricing. Great service too.
Great food and vibe, very good service and friendly staff too.
Really lovely time here, we had such a good meal and good night out post tier 3 restrictions! We had the chefs menu which was delicious and had a really good variety of choices for the price. Our only comment was that we were asked to leave pretty promptly, I think we had an hour and a half and when you a paying over £250 for 2 people this seemed a little rushed. But other than we loved it and will go back!
We love Paco Tapas, we went for the tasting menu this visit so we could try things we wouldn’t normally order and we weren’t disappointed! The food was well priced and we left content.
Is would also thoroughly recommend in terms of COVID safety.
Fantastic food and wine, the Tomatoe salad and the fillet steak dishes are incredibly tasty, and the bread and oil are the best I've tasted. Would highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning.
Straightforward review. You won’t find better Tapas outside of Spain. Exceptional and the whole place is perfectly executed
Nothing wrong with the food but just far too loud in the restaurant, they would try to explain what you were getting and just could not hear the servers.
Really classy take on tapas, with the ribs and tortilla our standout dishes, although we ate all of them with relish.
Our only quibble was that there was an odd choice of music being played - more suitable for a bar/club than restaurant.
We will be going back though
As a group we all agreed this was probably some of the best tapas we have had! The service was excellent & the restaurant itself was excellent. Highly recommended.
Superb food and service, great experience each time we’ve been
Great food, great wine list, the lovely staff are really helpful and the open kitchen creates an amazing ambiance
It's hard to see how Paco Tapas has a Michelin star. The food is good, but incredibly overpriced for what it actually is. The biggest let down was the ensalada de tomate, £12 for what seems like half a tomato cut thinly, covered in a grated tomato and olive oil I sent a picture of it to a friend who'd been before and recommended it and his response was that it didn't look anything like what he had had. The ambience of the place was also spoiled by a playlist that appeared to contain only thumping bass lines and in the high ceiling made conversation a little difficult. Finally, If you're going to emulate the Spanish way of serving tapas then you have to nail the service, however the service was slow and they forgot one of the items we ordered. From what I've seen on trip advisor a fair few people have had a recent similar experience. I'm all for paying good money for serious quality, but if you had a michelín star and charge the premium they do, I think you need to do better.
Absolutely amazing
Food was sensational- best we’ve eaten in a long time.
We’d definitely come back again.
Thank you
It was very delicious. We will definitely go back.
Great food, service and atmosphere. Wholly recommend.
The food was absolutely delicious.
The staff was really friendly and helpful.
Highly recommended.
Amazing food! Staff is very friendly and help you have an overall great experience! Definitely worth trying!
We visited twice within a week, both for birthdays and we love Paco. Food is varied and impeccably presented; tasty too. We will be back.
The food was gorgeous and the service was excellent. Would definitely recommend!
We took the opportunity between lockdowns to meet dear friends in Bristol and share lunch together; my Spanish wife was very keen to try this restaurant - and we were not disappointed: authentic tapas, absolutely delicious. Not a cheap lunch, especially depending on the dishes chosen, but for sheer enjoyment, it still represents excellent value. The steak dish, in particular, was exquisite; I am always a fan of croquetas and tortilla, and the crema catalana was new to me and very enjoyable. We are planning to visit again as soon as the pandemic permits, and we confess that this time we will go alone so that we don't have to share the dishes even with friends...
Amazing food, knowledgeable staff, great setting. 100% recommend the tortilla, easily the best I have had!
One of my favourites Spanish restaurants in Bristol, great food; croquetas de jamón, hispi cabbage w garlic, tortilla española, ensalada de tomate, everything was absolutely delicious, fantastic service!!
Fantastic tapas , all amazing quality although portions smallish, they tasted so good we didn’t mind .Wine is expensive.
Would highly recommend to any one who wants a night of good food and atmosphere.
Sensational food and great service at great value. We were really impressed and will definitely be visiting again soon.
Superb evening, fantastc food and a great laid back atmosphere. Loved it! We'll be back soon.
The complete experience was good.
However negatives:-
The bread and oil was very salty.
The Lamb didn't taste of lamb, it was so mild the flavour was dominated by the outer searing. The same applied to the tuna.
The positives
The steak was good, tender and tasty for a fillet.
The ribs were amazing as was the sausage
Probably wont visit again
WOW absolutely incredible. You can really tell Everything is cooked great care and attention.
Stand out dishes for me Stuffed Quail, Whole red Mullet. Staff and service incredible too. Really enjoyed the night there. Thanks
Had really high expectations that were not met at all. Food was good but nothing special, the octopus was particularly disappointing. Service was ok but for 1 Michelin star I would have expected more. It’s not crazy expensive but for what we paid I would have expected much more.
The food was amazing. We had to wait outside for 10 minutes after our booked time before our table was ready. The ambience was good. The high stools and table lent an authentic tapas experience but those wooden stools were not the most comfortable in the derrière!
