Our ever changing menu combines traditional tapas with personal interpretations from Michelin starred Chef Peter Sanchez-Iglesias, whilst staying true to the vibrant and comforting flavours of his heritage.
No tapas bar is worth its salt without a carefully crafted sherry list - just ask Paco! So, we've handpicked ours, and offer them by the glass, bottle or shaken into the finest cocktails.
Thanks to all our amazing suppliers & team we are realising another Sanchez Brothers dream - A modern tapas bar bringing a taste of Andalusia to Bristol. Whether you're coming para picar, for a glass of sherry or a tapas feast we can't wait to see you!
Good little restaurant, with a nice ambience. Service was excellent. Fairly pricey.
The whole experience was truly excellent and the portion size for the chefs menu was great... left feeling absolutely stuffed!
Delucious food, great atmosphere, highly recommended
Excellent menu, food and staff. Really enjoyed our visit and will absolutely be visiting again (and very likely again after that). Can’t really fault any aspect of our experience and equally have no desire to do so - it’s just very good.
An excellent restaurant! Such fun, friendly staff; incredible food and a lively atmosphere. A great place to be really spoilt!
Second time coming here. Still just as blown away with the whole experience as the first time!
Food is great and service as well. The place is nice but rather small and a bit noisy, but the selection of music was nice.
We had such a great evening at Paco Tapas. The atmosphere was so vibrant, relaxed and warm just what we wanted. The food was delicious, would definitely recommend the chefs menu. I can't wait to go back.
One of the best places we have eaten in Bristol we were especially lucky to get the bar table so enjoyed banter with the chefs and saw how they worked..!
A truly wonderful restaurant....love coming back for a special meal. Expect to pay above the norm.
Fantastic location and nice ambience. Food nice but not that special.
Food very good, but rushed out and told we had 10min to have pudding so they could use the table again. Which was a real shame as had to rush and didn’t have time to finish our wine.
We enjoyed the convivial feel about the restaurant, easy going relaxed evening
Brilliant food and service, would highly recommend
Came away feeling so inspired. My partner have not had food like that in such a long time, it’s so difficult to find food cooked like that in Bristol. Highly recommend. Staff were excellent and that is including chefs. Absolutely buzzing from the whole experience!
Excellent food, great service. A very nice special occasion venue!
Great food, great service and great atmosphere. A fantastic experience.
The food was fantastic probably the best tapas I have tasted. My only slight complaint was we were given two seats on the bar overlooking the kitchen. It was interesting watching the Chefs prepare the food but it was very cramped as we had a table behind us and two people by our sides. Fully understand the use of space generates income but we would of preferred a table. Great food and staff were very helpful. Will go again
Delicious food with the warmest, most amazing front of house. Come as a customer, but leave as a friend. An absolute delight.
As you would expect tapas means small plates, what I didn’t expect was the same cooking technique for pretty much every dish.Virtually all the cooked food is done over a charcoal grill which is fine but it means you don’t get the subtle flavours that you would anticipate from a restaurant of this standing. If your expectations are that you are going to have a Michelin star meal then in my view you have to think again and probably go elsewhere. If you want some very nice tapas and are happy to pay quite a lot for it then go!
been a couple of times now since they opened a few years back. as usual, food is good but portions are small (even for tapas), though prices have steadily increased. But wine remains decently priced. However this most recent time i visited, service was a letdown. It has never been great, but this time it was just poor - sloppy, clumsy, overly familiar, no initiative, uncoordinated, not professional at all despite my table spending a lot of money. Having been to every M-starred restaurant in Bristol and plenty more elsewhere - this has easily the worst service. Used to be good, but the restaurant is now complacent and has lost its way. If you know anything about dining well and have a shred of dignity - give this place a skip. Bar44 does a similar job for half the price and the drinks are great. You'll thank me later
This was the best meal we have had since moving to London from the United States in 2019. Not only was the food exceptional, but the attention of everyone (front of house and kitchen) was superb. I've never had the chance to interact with a Michelin starred chef before, and he could not have been more pleasant.
It was also amazing to eat at this caliber restaurant and not have my egg allergy be an issue. There were only 2 items on the entire board that I couldn't eat, and none of our dishes needed to be altered. We will definitely be back, and the sooner the better.
Ear-splitting dance music on arrival at 1pm on a Thursday! If the server hadn’t offered to turn it down we would have left immediately. We chose the quieter table between the loos and the door, not great but the lesser of two evils. Though quieter, the absurdly intrusive music continued. The food was good: imaginative and tasty though probably not the healthiest: I shudder to think about the salt content.
Delicious tapas. All the food is cooked with such great care and attention to detail, I have returned many times and am always impressed.
Service excellent, they knew we had little time as we were off to the theatre and they were very helpful. Food gorgeous!!
Fantastic ingredients given the utmost care and attention, Served simply but perfectly
Excellent food, drinks and service. On the downside, the restaurant is very smoky from the charcoal grill, my eyes were stinging all evening. More ventilation needed!
Absolute delight. Creating the atmosphere and bustle of an authentic tapas bar is not an easy feat but Poco Tapas does this without it feeling forced. We really felt like we could have been in Spain. Whilst the bustle and atmosphere wasn't silent, neither was there so much noise that we couldn't enjoy each others company - just the right combination. It was great to have the busy vibe whilst not being squashed in on top of other diners.
The service was attentive without being intrusive and we were guided through elements as required. Staff are really friendly and the quality of the food superb. We will definitely be back!
Excellent food and service. Just a bit smokey inside.
Fab tapas, maybe a little over salty on some dishes but generally amazing! Great service, waitress was knowledgeable about the menu.
really loved this restaurant, the food and staff are amazing. but it's very pricey. and portions are not huge. I was left feeling satisfied with the evening. but could have eaten it all again because it was so tasty.
Went in for a meal with my partner, we got the chefs menu to share and a couple of other bits, my partner has a dairy allergy so there were a couple of bits she couldn't eat but the chefs were very good and gave her banging replacements instead, even making her a dessert up as they didn't have a dairy free option on that night. We sat right in front of the chefs so we're able to see everything going on in the kitchen, very impressive, we were mainly served by the chef who took the time to explain each dish to us! The menu is pricy but you get what you pay for and I thought it was worth it, I could hardly move after all of the food we received!
Great place great atmosphere great staff
I was really looking forward to eating here as I had heard a lot of good things. We had booked for 8 o’clock but our table wasn’t ready until 8:15 which would have been ok except there is nowhere to wait. We ended up with a beer huddled in a corner. Having to move and apologise every two minutes to waiting staff or customers. We were seated (Got to table and the previous occupants were still putting on their coats and leaving, which was awkward) and the menu was explained well. We chose small plates from the menu and shared. The food was good, although wasn’t explained very well when put down at the table.
My main complaint, which affected the night a lot, was the smoke. It was incredibly smoky in there. So much so that after half an hour I had to go outside because my eyes were stinging. My clothes stank of smoke. Hopefully there was an issue with the extractor but it wasn’t explained to us. At these prices I expected a lot more from all aspects of the dinner.
Service, knowledge and enthusiasm of the waiting team was superb. I would say out of the 10 dishes we ate there is only one that we wouldn't have ordered again, immediately! The standard of food was superb, and the open kitchen, bar stools and relaxed atmosphere made it a very enjoyable evening.
Loved watching the chefs cook. Get a table by the bar if you can. Absolutely delicious food.
Excellent food, outstanding service. May be expensive for some, but in my opinion it's worth every penny. Only thing to mention is that the wine is too expensive. I will definitely return.
Wonderful service and delicious food. It’s wonderful to know that you’re pretty much guaranteed a perfect night out while still being in a relaxed dining setting. Keep up the solid work, it’s paying off with consistency.
I had high expectations because of the reputation and was willing to pay that little bit extra because of this, but in my opinion, the chef who designed the menu was forcing things in order to be unique. The bread and oil we asked for was bread that had been slightly burned on the edges, and had a burnt taste rather that toasted and had then been plonked into a dish of oil which it had sucked up like a sponge. Not very nice at all. The octopus was so spicy in an odd kind of way, we didn't eat it, even though it was a £1 for every medallion which were each the size of a penny. The Spanish omelette was an omelette-shaped casing, full of runny egg which fell apart into a little lake once it was cut. The rest of the food was passable but nothing stood out as special. The atmosphere was nice and the "man-behind-the-bar", was adorable, very attentive and extremely willing to be of service. He made a lovely drink as a sangria replacement which I asked for but was not readily available. He did a good job. Pity about the rest of the menu.
no matter how often you go here the food & the service always remain the same Outstanding
Always an amazing experience whenever we go to Paco and such a warm welcome.
