Our ever changing menu combines traditional tapas with personal interpretations from Michelin starred Chef Peter Sanchez-Iglesias, whilst staying true to the vibrant and comforting flavours of his heritage.
No tapas bar is worth its salt without a carefully crafted sherry list - just ask Paco! So, we've handpicked ours, and offer them by the glass, bottle or shaken into the finest cocktails.
Thanks to all our amazing suppliers & team we are realising another Sanchez Brothers dream - A modern tapas bar bringing a taste of Andalusia to Bristol. Whether you're coming para picar, for a glass of sherry or a tapas feast we can't wait to see you!
A special way to celebrate a birthday, looking forward to returning and will definitely be recommending to others. The service was brilliant and we took up the option of dining outside with a beautiful view of the sunset. Perfect evening!!
Beautiful food in a lovely setting with excellent service. For me, indoors was a bit noisy with music too loud to hear conversation, but I sat outside and it was great (although chairs with backs would be nicer!)
We only visit annually but every time we are greeted by manager James as if we are regulars. He really makes the whole experience so enjoyable. His knowledge & passion for the job are infectious. The food and wine selection are just sublime. The prices reflect the standard of ingredients, which are simply presented, no fussing or flowers on your food here. As the saying goes... cheap things aren’t nice and nice things aren’t cheap! Go!
Excellent little restaurant, amazing food, great service. Expensive but you get what you pay for. Highly recommended and will definitely go back again
Superb meal at Paco. Every dish was impressive, beautiful wine and very attentive and friendly staff.
Really great tapas with lots of local fish dishes etc. Knowledgeable staff and beautiful building & location makes for an excellent night out.
We had chefs menu for 4 of us which included my daughter and boyfriend who are 20, we were there for 3 hours and not rushed, food was excellent and waitress who looked after us was excellent, sorry did not get her name for us to give a mention! Venue in nice play and good to sit outside even if a bit windy! Highly recommended.
Amazing everything. Fantastic food, service and ambiance. Simply a cut above.
Always amazing food and service ..... James
Is so good at what he does
They make simple food taste wonderful. We love this place
Good food, especially Iberico pork and leek with romesco sauce. Friendly, welcoming and professional service. Decent wine list with interesting selection by the glass. Good sherry too!
Celebrating my wife's birthday. We've been once before some time ago and decided to return hoping that it was as good as last time. We were not disappointed. We actually had the same table for two. We were mainly served by James. He was friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable about the food and sherry, nothing was too much trouble. I actually paid more than the 10% service charge that is added to the final bill, I was that impressed with him and the other staff there. The food was fantastic, great chef. We had the chefs menu which, although Tapas, filled us comfortably. The different tastes and textures were amazing. Instead of wine we had the sherry flute, a different sherry for some of the varied dishes. If you go for this try the sherry before you taste the dish it accompanies then try it with the dish. All were perfectly matched as the taste experience differed with the dish it was matched to.
I was more than happy to pay the price for this gastronomic experience but dropped one star because it was a little expensive. It was for a special occasion, the cost would have been much less if we had not 'pushed the boat out'.
Well done Paco Tapas and James, see you again soon
Amazing food and amazing service. The unique way the food was cooked really opened our eyes to how food should be cooked. Will definitely come back.
Amazing food well worth the money we chose the chefs special would highly recommend for special occasions
Amazing, we will definitely be returning! Food and service were outstanding. Expensive, but well worth it for a special occasion!
The food and ambience is like being transported to Spain - the chilled but vibrant vibe is lovely. The team are attentive, know their stuff and make the experience seamless - gliding in with the next delicious tapas dish. Overall you cant beat this amazing place - it’s a proper gem in Bristol’s foodie city. I love it!
Great food, friendly and helpful staff, if not a little rushed initially.
Table was fine but near the loos so when people didn’t shut the door we heard the hand dryer.
Would recommend the chef’s menu, great value for money and delicious.
Been before, food was impeccable, service was meh.
They forgot our olives and were very slow on pouring the wine.
Yes it might just be tapas but it’s tapas on another level. This is the third time we have eaten at Paco Tapas and it just gets better and better. The staff are friendly but very knowledgeable about all the food. From the Octopus (wow) a must to the Presa Iberica which just melts in the mouth.
We had a great evening at Paco Tapas. Sitting outside watching the world go by being served some amazing food and wine by wonderful staff (especially Gemma).
The service was exceptional and the food was incredible!
It was a very nice surprise in Bristol, the best tortilla de patatas ever.
The attention faboulus.
The only critic is the size of the portions a little bit small ever considering as Tapas.
Also, for the price they could increase a little bit the amount of food in the plate. I will definitely recommend it.
Lovely tapas. Great service from Olive will return
All very good, though a little on the high side in terms of pricing for what you get, especially meat dishes.
Amazing, inventive food in an excellent setting. Immaculate service too. The fillet was to die for!
Food was exquisite, fresh ingredients with so much flavour. The chefs menu was well worth the money spent. Service fab, we will be returning!
Wonderful meal but very small portions.
I have never had food the suppresses the quality of Pacos, it is perfection, the food, the wine, the service. I’ve eaten in restaurants with 1* where the food isn’t as honest and delicious.
I want to eat here everyday
delicious tasty tapas, beautiful setting, buzzy atmosphere. Portions not huge for the price. olives were missed off our order but took off bill no problem.
Great food & service
Will certainly return !
Très bon restaurant avec des produits frais, mais les portions sont minuscules pour le prix.
Best meal I’ve had for ages. Everything was amazing!
Really enjoyed this experience. The food was excellent the ambience was relaxed refined but classy. All in all a fantastic way to celebrate our anniversary
Was absolutely incredible. Favourite course for me was the Duroc ribs although my girlfriend will say disagree and say the croquettas. Staff were amazing! Casamia next on the list - bring it on!
One of the best meals out we’ve had in a long time. Fabulous, relaxed service and great to me able to see the chefs at work and chat about the food and cooking with them.
Amazing food, we had the chefs menu and although £50pp it’s worth every penny! Each course worked really well in its own and as part of the meal, will definitely be back! Only criticism was that the music was quite loud, but apart from that amazing!
The chefs menu with sherry flight is £50 for the food and £30 for the sherry. This is fantastic value for the quality of both.
We had seats at the counter and it was fascinating to watch. Great evening
Excellent food which was perfectly cooked and presented. A real pleasure.
Service and food was great, only thing is that we felt the food came out too quickly. We were trying to find space on our table to put everything, felt a little rushed. Apart from that, had a lovely evening.
Excellent in every way, although a chair with a back to it would've made my mother more comfy, which would've made her happy seeing as it was her 70th birthday.
