Our ever changing menu combines traditional tapas with personal interpretations from Michelin starred Chef Peter Sanchez-Iglesias, whilst staying true to the vibrant and comforting flavours of his heritage.
No tapas bar is worth its salt without a carefully crafted sherry list - just ask Paco! So, we've handpicked ours, and offer them by the glass, bottle or shaken into the finest cocktails.
Thanks to all our amazing suppliers & team we are realising another Sanchez Brothers dream - A modern tapas bar bringing a taste of Andalusia to Bristol. Whether you're coming para picar, for a glass of sherry or a tapas feast we can't wait to see you!
Superb food and service. It was difficult to select the most outstanding dish. We favoured the octopus, the quality of the manchego cheese, patatas bravas and the bread and olives. Whilst the red wine list verged on expensive, we felt the food deserved a good bottle to accompany the meal. We can’t wait to visit again. We have already passed on our positive food experience to friends and family. Thank you!
A few of the dishes have had onions added, didn’t enjoy preferred the old recipes
Wonderful food and very friendly, informative staff.
The food on offer is exceptionally cooked and presented. Sitting at the bar area I had a birds eye view of the Chefs at work over the wood fired grill. It was clear they took great pride in what they were preparing for service. The waiting staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and amazingly attentive on such a busy night. I felt very well looked after.
Great experience overall and as soon as I’m back in Bristol I’ll be booking again.
It’s fun Superb food Great wine Service discrete and amusing Go
Paco Tapas is perfect. It is my favourite restaurant, in Bristol and beyond.
Upon arrival at the time we had booked for our table wasn't ready, as the restaurant is small there was no where to wait so we stood waiting by the kitchen having to constantly move back and forth to allow the waiting staff to serve food to the other diners. When we were shown to our table we were sharing with two people we didn't know. I would not have expected this as I had booked our table months in advance and was not made aware it would be a shared table.
We opted for the Chef's tasting menu and although some of the dishes were good, we were all underwhelmed by the food. I didn't feel it was good value for money and I was disappointed after looking forward to our visit for a log time.
Lovely evening with great food and friendly service. It’s not cheap - but it is tasty!
Probably the best tapas I've ever had. My husband and I loved the food and the wine. The staff we fantastic. I wish we lived closer, but I will travel back to Bristol just to eat here again.
Amazing meal in an ntimate setting - service could not be better and they recommended what to have to drink with the tasting menu when we asked. Will go back again and recommend to all! Food was unreal
Pretty perfect food, if a little pricey. Feels a like you're paying a slight premium for the star, but best example of tapas you'll find in the country
Excellent establishment! Quality and execution of every single dish is outstanding from start to finish. The ambience of paco is one of a kind, a quirky mix of a traditional tapa restaurant, relaxed atmosphere whether it’s daytime or evening and the staff are truly wonderful. So welcoming and friendly..I must say they put the added Magic into the experience. Best way to describe it, they all work as a team, chefs and front of house make it a winning combination! Fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere what more can you ask for?...don’t let the prices put you off, believe me, you’ll get more than what your paying for! Will suggest trying things you may not always go for or maybe do at home but trust me they put their own twist on it and totally different to what you may think it might be!
Fabulous food and location. Knowledgable staff who are incredibly pleasant and are informative about the food, drinks alike. The ambiance is superb and bathrooms nice and clean. I cannot fail to recommend this restaurant. An absolute treasure.
Amazing food and great atmosphere. A perfect evening for catching up with friends or for a romantic dinner
Food and service was brilliant as always. The tasting menu was Delicious.
Brilliant food and our server was amazing deffo will be coming back
Regular visitors and as usual the food was superb and the service friendly and knowledgeable. We would recommend packs.
Whilst my partner and I had an enjoyable evening, we both felt that service was rushed, as the courses were delivered too quickly, the seating was extremely uncomfortable (we were both being nudged and nudging diners on adjacent tables) and the paper napkins were reminiscent of a greasy cafe!!!
Fantastic food and atmosphere delivered by passionate staff!
Fabulous tasting menu. The food came out a little bit quicker than what I would have liked, but still great in a beautiful surrounding, big thumbs up.
Excellent food and first class service. Great atmosphere and ambience, marred only by the noise of the extractor fan as the serving area is open - which adds to the nice informal atmosphere but does make for a bit of background noise.
The food was great - but the prawns were small so one of them was really gritty - this ruined that part of the meal.
I went there with my girlfriend's birthday last Wednesday, I basically looked at the restaurants that had a Michelin star in Bristol and chose Paco because I love tapas so I wanted to try a restaurant of its kind on a Michelin Level. The waiter, a lovely guy from Slovakia was amazing, the service was very quick although he had to look after two other tables as well. The food overall was good, we tried the chef's menu for 50£ per person. The quantity did not amaze me, I was expecting a bit more for 50£, all the dishes were great except the croquettes, they were warm outside and inside their temperature was bordering to cold. I would find this acceptable for any other restaurant but not for a Michelin star restaurant.
Excellent food, service, and sherry. Easily merits the Michelin star.
Brilliant amazing first class food! Fun atmosphere and fabulous attentive service, would definitely recommend and will be booking to come back again! :)
Excellent food and wine. Good atmosphere and music. There could be better locations to hang jackets/coats. I did also think that some of the dishes were quite expensive for the portion size.
Well crafted food for a reasonable price. Lovely tapas bar. We booked for 6pm in January so we were the only people in there but I can imagine when busy the ambiance would be great. Seems a good place to go and to eat and drink with friends over an evening. Michelin star food for a fraction of the price.
Sat at the bar-chefs friendly and serving staff were fantastic !
Second time and it keeps getting better !
Get the hake!
Great food and amazing service. Thank you for a great evening .
We visited for a belated 40th birthday celebration. Taster menu is £50.00 per head so I believe this is a special occasion Tapas restaurant. Food and wine was excellent but some tapas were better value for money than others. (we had individual tapas)
Service could have been more friendly and with more of a smile. If you need customers to vacate their table by a certain time I think a more friendly approach than we received could be implemented
Some really good food (we had the chefs menu) and a nice place to go with friends. However, we didn't feel like we got the best value for money. We felt like the wine prices were a bit punchy. I'd expect a standard mark up of 2 / 3 times. However, you are looking at an almost 5 times mark up which feels a bit greedy in our opinion (our bottle retails for about £15 but the restaurant charges £69). Also, looking at the steak prices - Lurra, a relatively famous Spanish restaurant in Marlybone, London charges about £90 a kg whereas this was £106. To our knowledge, it was the same meat - the Rubia Gallega.
Outstanding. Attention to detail spot on
Great from start to finish. All the grilled items were excellent!
Amazing quality tapas. Particularly the Hake and the char grilled veg
We had the chefs menu and it was superb. The croquettes were so light and packed full of flavour, the tomato salad was the best I've ever had and there were big punchy dishes like the perfectly cooked hake and succulent stuffed quail. We were both suitably stuffed afterwards. Delicious. The staff were also incredibly knowledgeable and friendly.
We went with my daughter and her partner to celebrate my husband's birthday on 29 Dec, a time when a lot of places are flagging after Xmas, so we were delighted with the fantastic time they gave us here. Utterly delectable food that we were still talking about next day, spot on service and delicious wine. Well done all of you
The food was truly excellent and the service was the most rapid I have received in any restaurant. My only criticism is that I was seated on a stool next to the food preparation area, which was not as comfortable as I would have been if I had been seated at a table.
Outstanding food and a great atmosphere for a night out.
Lovely little place for a date night or get together with a couple of good is pals.
Menus could have included more ‘greenary’ but apart from that it was very impressive food and a relaxing laid back place and we will definitely be visiting again
Great food and attentive staff. There was a warm friendly atmosphere in the restaurant, and being tapas the dining style was very casual. It is, however, upmarket casual and a great spot to bring a date.
The meal itself was pretty exceptional too. The jamon croquettas were fantastic, the crisp breadcumb exterior belied a rich, gooey middle. At over three quid each for a small mouthful they aren’t cheap but they are executed perfectly. We also really enjoyed a lovely dish of presa Iberica, a beautiful cut of flame grilled pork. Other standouts were the lamb and lentil stew and the best patatas bravas I’ve ever had in the style of crispy roast spuds.
Although there are some items are priced very high on the menu, everything we tried was delicious and you can pick and choose to suit more moderate budgets. The wine was great and so was the sherry.
We sat up at the kitchen bar which was fun but maybe not ideal if you want a more intimate meal with your company rather than the staff. There is other seating available though and I bet it would be lovely to sit outside by the waterfront in the summer.
Overall wonderful meal and great experience.
