Our ever changing menu combines traditional tapas with personal interpretations from Michelin starred Chef Peter Sanchez-Iglesias, whilst staying true to the vibrant and comforting flavours of his heritage.
No tapas bar is worth its salt without a carefully crafted sherry list - just ask Paco! So, we've handpicked ours, and offer them by the glass, bottle or shaken into the finest cocktails.
Thanks to all our amazing suppliers & team we are realising another Sanchez Brothers dream - A modern tapas bar bringing a taste of Andalusia to Bristol. Whether you're coming para picar, for a glass of sherry or a tapas feast we can't wait to see you!
We were slightly late for our table due to weather but service was great and we whizzed through the tasting menu. Classic dishes done brilliantly x
The tapas were the best I’ve ever had matched with sherry’s to compliment them perfectly , the service was excellent and friendly would definitely go again
Fabulous... we loved it and will definitely be back!
Visiting Bristol for the weekend and wanted to find a special place for dinner. Wasn’t disappointed. Amazing food! Would highly recommend.
Quality ingredients, perfectly prepared and served with care and passion. The braised lettuce in the cream and garlic sauce was a particular highlight of our visit. Will definitely be back (again!)
Exceptional food. Exceptional service.
Awesome food and a lovely atmosphere. Every dish executed to perfection
Just perfect from start to finish! Ha e already recommended!
Lovely evening with great food, wine and service. It was great to be able to sit outside, although that became much more enjoyable when the loud, braying girl on the table next to us eventually left. I guess when it's over a certain price point and away from the hussle of the centre proper, it's hard to escape such characters...#cliftonites
The set chef's menu was fabulous and it was nice to be able to add things to it, which came out at an appropriate point according to what else was being served.
Thanks again for a wonderful evening, being given a stool with a back when I started to flag was especially thoughtful. You need more of them, sitting on stools all night is exhausting!
Probably the best tapas I've ever eaten. Everything was of the highest quality, relying on the best ingredients plus the chef's skill rather than trying to come up with an unnecessary new spin on the classics. The leeks with romesco sauce were a particular highlight, along with the bread and olive oil. I urgently need to find an opportunity to go back to enjoy the chef's menu, as we didn't have time for that on this occasion. Outstanding service from the charming Alex - thank you, Alex. I think I'd have found it too noisy inside, but sitting outside with the view across the water was perfect. Very highly recommended.
Couldn’t recommend this place more. Outstanding food, and lots of it if you’re going for the very reasonably priced Chef’s choice (tasting menu). Cool atmosphere and super friendly staff. Can’t wait to go again.
Thankyou for such an enjoyable evening. Food was out standing and the whole team. Can’t wait to come back. Many thanks.
Staid with poor service. Each tapas dish came out about 25mins apart which becomes tiring. Poor drinks service rounded off an ordinary place.
The food was excellent, well above the standard tapas offerings. The Patatas Bravas were particularly delicious.
As a returning diner who enjoyed their first visit I was hoping for a similarly excellent experience. I was not disappointed. Fabulous from start to t. Excellent service , small hiccup with a dash that had to be redone as it wasn't how they wanted it presented ( totally worth the wait). Live this place.
What a meal! We had the 'chefs menu' which was all superb. The service was brilliant as well. Would 100% reccomend to anyone. We will definitely be returning.
A pleasant evening spent in a great restaurant. We opted for the Chef’s Menu, something that allowed us to taste a variety of different dishes.
Brilliant food, only issue is high tables at all tables so not suitable for anyone with a sore back etc
Relaxed but attentive service from the minute we arrived. We had the Chef’s Menu which was fabulous.
Excellent food and service - the fish in particular was amazing
The food was nice, not mind blowing but nice (not the best tapas I have had in the UK for example.
One waitress was fairly good, the service of the other staff was very poor. We were largely ignored, told to sit at the bar or outside having booked (when other tables were free). We were not offered a top up of water (other tables were) and we were misled about the drinks on offer (had to seek clarification from another waiter who confirmed that the first was incorrect). The service was slow and largely quite unfriendly which was upsetting as other tables seemed to be having a better time of it.
The decor was hard to judge (sat outside) but there was no focus on the table setting, which I understand if the aim is to be informal. That said, the laminate tops of the outside tables were lacking any real design and seemed like an after thought.
Prices were high for the food actually offered - flavours were largely good but there wasn’t much ‘wow’. Portions (even by the standard of tapas) were small, which was disappointing given cost.
All in, a disappointing visit.
Second time here in a month.
Well worth the trip down from London, haven’t found a tapas restaurant in London that can touch Paco.
Every dish was delicious and perfectly executed. The quail was a stand out dish.. incredible.
Was a bit disappointed that pardon peppers weren’t available and the excellent tortilla we had last tome was substituted on the tasting menu for courgette.
Ask to sit at the bar to watch the chefs at work over the open fire.
Amazing service, food and atmosphere. This was our second visit to the restaurant. We will be back!
Amazing food and excellent staff the food is a must try
Fabulously tasty food. A little too noisy but that was mainly from the blaring inappropriate music.
Some of the food was of exceptional quality, such as the lamb rump. The patatas bravas was very good. However, the other dishes were ok.
Having dined at multiple tapas restaurants, I would not return to Paco.
I would say service was excellent and not intrusive.
Some of the best tapas I have ever eaten. Could have done the menu twice over but I’ll have to settle for going back. Friendly and attentive team maintained their high standard despite the restaurant being full. Excellent well priced wine list complemented the food. It has taken us a while to discover Paco. It’s now going to be a regular.
A special way to celebrate a birthday, looking forward to returning and will definitely be recommending to others. The service was brilliant and we took up the option of dining outside with a beautiful view of the sunset. Perfect evening!!
Beautiful food in a lovely setting with excellent service. For me, indoors was a bit noisy with music too loud to hear conversation, but I sat outside and it was great (although chairs with backs would be nicer!)
We only visit annually but every time we are greeted by manager James as if we are regulars. He really makes the whole experience so enjoyable. His knowledge & passion for the job are infectious. The food and wine selection are just sublime. The prices reflect the standard of ingredients, which are simply presented, no fussing or flowers on your food here. As the saying goes... cheap things aren’t nice and nice things aren’t cheap! Go!
Excellent little restaurant, amazing food, great service. Expensive but you get what you pay for. Highly recommended and will definitely go back again
Superb meal at Paco. Every dish was impressive, beautiful wine and very attentive and friendly staff.
Really great tapas with lots of local fish dishes etc. Knowledgeable staff and beautiful building & location makes for an excellent night out.
We had chefs menu for 4 of us which included my daughter and boyfriend who are 20, we were there for 3 hours and not rushed, food was excellent and waitress who looked after us was excellent, sorry did not get her name for us to give a mention! Venue in nice play and good to sit outside even if a bit windy! Highly recommended.
Amazing everything. Fantastic food, service and ambiance. Simply a cut above.
Always amazing food and service ..... James
Is so good at what he does
They make simple food taste wonderful. We love this place
Good food, especially Iberico pork and leek with romesco sauce. Friendly, welcoming and professional service. Decent wine list with interesting selection by the glass. Good sherry too!
Celebrating my wife's birthday. We've been once before some time ago and decided to return hoping that it was as good as last time. We were not disappointed. We actually had the same table for two. We were mainly served by James. He was friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable about the food and sherry, nothing was too much trouble. I actually paid more than the 10% service charge that is added to the final bill, I was that impressed with him and the other staff there. The food was fantastic, great chef. We had the chefs menu which, although Tapas, filled us comfortably. The different tastes and textures were amazing. Instead of wine we had the sherry flute, a different sherry for some of the varied dishes. If you go for this try the sherry before you taste the dish it accompanies then try it with the dish. All were perfectly matched as the taste experience differed with the dish it was matched to.
I was more than happy to pay the price for this gastronomic experience but dropped one star because it was a little expensive. It was for a special occasion, the cost would have been much less if we had not 'pushed the boat out'.
Well done Paco Tapas and James, see you again soon
Amazing food and amazing service. The unique way the food was cooked really opened our eyes to how food should be cooked. Will definitely come back.
