With 50% off a la carte offer its great value but i think if you were paying full price then you would be disappointed. Service wasn’t very personable but tasty food and lovely restaurant.

The food is great and always has a lovely ambience. We had some excellent and thoughtful service. Usually it can be a bit of a hassle to order lots of dishes to share at restaurants but the staff at Palm Court Brasserie were very accommodating and were very happy to help.

Conveniently located in the heart of Covent Garden. Efficient and friendly service with decent French based cuisine makes this restaurant good for everyday dining or even a special occasion.

We had an amazing time st Palm Court Brasserie. The only complaint is that the starter and mains were served super fast. I know there was a 2 hour table turnaround but we had our desserts ordered within the hour. I love to relax at a family meal and just felt a bit rushed. However we were not asked to leave at any stage. I just think there was a rush to get the food served. Other than that a lovely place to dine.

Nice restaurant. Food great. We visited for pre theatre dinner and our main course was delayed so had to rush. The staff made good and we got money off the bill so the mistake was dealt with. Impressed and we would all go back.

Our second visit to this restaurant for a pre theatre menu. Great atmosphere, VERY busy. Staff were great but simply too busy. Took over an hour for our mains to come out and we had to wolf them down quickly to rush off for our show, no time for dessert. I think it must have been a one off as our previous experience was excellent. Also the staff apologiesed profusely multiple times and offered us a discount for the inconvenience. I will still return again, I just hope they iron out the glitches we experienced on Friday night. Food delicious.

Palm court has a fantastic atmosphere. Good food although a bit overpriced. All staff are happy relaxed & on the ball. The weather outside was atrocious but the atmosphere inside palm court was buzzing.

We booked the special offer of 50% off the food bill but the restaurant obviously took this into consideration in the portion sizes served. I ordered the fried (breaded) calamari starter for £8.95 but received only six small calamari rings - ie, £1.50 each ring. Really? Then I ordered the battered cod and chips for £16.95. The fish was probably around 15x6cms and thin (which I found when cutting into the batter which collapsed onto the fillet. A small bucket of chips accompanied this - probably around 10 chips in total.

The price paid for the food was probably its true value.

Booking a table online was very easy and the reminder texts were useful. It was ery easy to locate, as close to the ROH. When we arrived, we were shown to our table straight away. The staff were exceptionally courteous and helpful, especially with my elderly mother. The service was prompt but not pushy.
We had the pre theatre menu which was good value. The food was piping hot and very tasty. Good portion sizes, although a large person may require ordering more vegetables if having the trout. The vegetable cous cous dish was large, beautifully seasoned and very filling. The desert menu was perhaps a little limited on the pre - theatre menu (it would have been nice to have a fruit option of some sort on it, but if you went a la carte, there were other options available). Drinks were ‘London’ prices, so quite dear but about what you expect to pay in the centre of the city. However, there was obviously free tap water. If I have a small gripe, it is that the ladies toilets could do with refresh and perhaps checking a little more regularly to ensure they stay clean. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be booking it again next time I attend the ROH.

We booked this for an early evening post-matinee supper and were not disappointed; the menu is lengthy with many classic dishes. Very generous portion sizes, so we couldn't manage three courses, so next time it's a decision between a starter or a dessert, which will be difficult!

It's quite crowded and, therefore, noisy ( or "energetic", as the choice describes it), so not the place for a romantic supper a deux, but it's got bags of atmosphere and our waitress handled her tables quickly and helpfully, despite the rapid turnover of diners.

We came away dissapointed after our birthday celebration meal out on saturday evening. As soon as we eneterd the restuarent it was apparant how cramped all the seating looked with tables almost touching together. Our table of 5 was in a corner at the back of the restaurent which was not easy to access without bumping into people eating at other tables and with the person on the end of our table almost wedged into a corner it did not make for a comfortable setting. Service and quality of food was okay although not exceptional but what concerned us most was how with tables so close together every time a hot dish was served the concern was more about whether it would end up in someones lap which it didnt i am glad to say. But a number of minor accidents did happen in other parts of the restuarent during the course of our meal which came as no surprise. This seating plan with the volume of people it puts in the restaurent at any one time really doesnt make for a pleasant experience and puts immense pressure on the staff to serve in a safe and yet continually fast manner to get the turnover of tables they have every couple of hours. It wasnt just us commenting on this aspect as others around us made the same observations. When we should have been talking about the quality of the food and service we found it very difficult to relax and enjoy the whole experience wondering over what shoulder the next hot dish of soup might come to get to the next table. For us this experience was was one that we wont be rushing back for.

Central location, very good selection of food, well-presented.and great value on the 50% off a la carte Open Table offer. Good and affordable wine list.

Friendly and attentive service - nice relaxed ambience. Only one quibble, the lighting was turned down so low that I needed a second candle to read the menu.

Reminder to self: take a torch next time - and I would expect that there will be a next time.

As usual we were made to feel "at home". our waiter was both friendly and efficient. We chose from the Opentable 3 course menu which has a number of choices for each course and a glass of Kir Royale as an aperitif, all for £24 - very good value. I had baked brie for starter followed by the excellent almond trout which came with a bed of mashed potatoes, to which I added from the sundries menu, baked vegetables. I had a creme brulee for dessert. Washed down with a bottle of Chablis and an Americano coffee. A most enjoyable lunch in a relaxed atmosphere.

A good place for a pre theatre supper, with a nice menu which does change a little. Nice and friendly, with a good range of wine etc.
Only thing we did not like ( and a few restaurants still do this :( ) is that a couple of items on the set menu have an additional supplement - I think they should either include different products, or if it is costly, just make the serving slightly smaller.

Had a great time at PCB! We were a group of five, arriving at different times. Service was very accommodating, prompt and precise. Couldn't have asked for more! And the food was yummy too. I had a butternut squash salad, followed by sea bass. Both very tasty. Would be back and highly recommend!

Had an early dinner at the Palm Court with two friends. Booking and greeting was efficient and the staff were friendly and helpful. All the food arrived promptly, the portions were generous, well presented and well prepared. My French fish soup and cassoulet were very tasty. The ambiance was low light with candles and would be OK for a romantic meal. Will go again.

We had an excellent meal after a matinee show performance. We were greeted & seated promptly ... our waiter was attentive, but not over-bearing throughout our meal and the food was excellent. We have been to the Palm Court Brasserie a couple of times before, and we will certainly be back ... it is a fabulous restaurant.

Did the 50% off al a carte which made the food bill very reasonable. Buzzy atmosphere pre-theatre. Excellent service. Partner had asked for rare tuna but got medium. When pointed out, staff quick to react and replacement was spot on. Given free glass of wine as well - result!. Steak hache was good. Would recommend before a show or just a pleasant evening meal.

Delicious lunch, made tastier by the 50% off the 2 course food order. The initial bill didn’t reflect the discount but this was quickly sorted.

Great location, good service with quite an old-fashioned (in a good way!) feel to it.

I use this restaurant twice a year to meet with a former colleague. It is ideally situated as Covent Garden is about equal distance from West Sussex and Beaconsfield. We have always found the restaurant and staff to be friendly and accommodating towards two elderly gentlemen. We both enjoy the experience. My only comment would be (as we always take the set lunch) that the menu appears not to be changed that often.
