Parc de Ville is a neighborhood gem.
Excellent food tastefully prepared and served timely
Prices are reasonable expect about $100/couple with a glass of wine.
Availability of tables is good for now; parking is convenient
There is new outdoor roof top patio which is limited to appetizers and drinks for now
Wine selection is limited but well chosen
The food was great, especially the French onion soup and the duck confit.
Almost perfect setting for brunch on an early Sunday afternoon
The food was amazing! I thought it would be a little more dressy inside but no tablecloth on a cafeteria table... so decor could use an upgrade but food and wine choices were fabulous! The name and Vibe leads you to believe it's a forty's inspired decor but waiters in jeans and t-shirts...prices refect an upscale restaurant. I would definatly go back for the food!
Great place. Everything was perfect.
Consistently high quality across the board — I love dining at Parc.
The service was outstanding- Diamond took great care of us! We recommend the duck confit as an appetizer, Cesar salad and petit basque cheese. For the main the Salmon and the boeuf we delicious and an excellent portion. The wine list is fantastic and has a great variety of Burgundy and Bordeaux wines and who can argue with 1664 on tap!!! Can’t wait to return again - will go here now rather than Le Diplomate!
Lovely new rooftop deck. Very limited menu, only a few appetizers, but they plan to serve a larger menu soon. Servers are eager to please. Nice gas fireplace will be wonderful in the cooler weather.
Superb food! Good drinks. Nice sweeping windows of the Mosaic District street level.
We went for an anniversary dinner and were offered a glass of champagne to start. The meal was wonderful: cheese trio followed by salmon and trout. It was a lovely way to celebrate our special day. Thank you!
Amazing food and service!!!
My wife and I have been meaning to try Parc de Ville for some time, but we have just recently, and sparingly, returned to eating inside restaurants. So we tried it yesterday for our anniversary and were quite pleased. Although I gave it a four star rating, for me that is real praise. Parc de Ville is excellent at what it does — serving traditional French Brasserie dishes. The food was delicious, with special kudos for the Duck Confit and the Daube. The onion soup was also better than most, and the smoked salmon rilletes very tasty. Service was fine, albeit a bit slow, as is the kitchen. The ambiance is enjoyable, and like true brasseries, on the loud side (but not so loud as to make conversation at our table difficult ). The corner booth we were given was comfortable. We are pleased to have Parc de Ville nearby, and I am sure we will return.
Always a great experience at Parc de Ville. Fabulous cocktails from Dan. I once again got the Trout Grenobloise, my favorite dish. I'm never ever disappointed.
A typical Provençal menu and very good service. They could improve the ambience a bit more though.
Worst duck I've ever had. Alternately stringy and pulpy. Suspect this was a very old duck. Or at least a duck who spent much of its afterlife in a freezer. "Crispy" skin was like cellophane. Potatoes so salty must have been soaked in sea water. Only the greens were adequate.
Caesar salad was skimpy but decent. My wife's salmon, in comparison with the duck, was a culinary triumph. Everything overpriced by 10 - 20%.
The service was lackadaisical. Management might consider uniforms other than what cleaning crews wear.
All in all, an expensive waste of a Saturday night out.
We have been 2 times and enjoyed everything on the menu
Caesar salad very good
Salmon, trout and seabass all very good.
Service is a mixed bag but mostly prompt and good
It's on our regularly frequented list
Definitely going back
Overdressed salad. Trout so salty I could barely eat it. A relatively non-existent waiter with no social skills at all, despite the restaurant not being busy. Overpriced for the food and experience.
Food was delicious, but service was pretty meh.
Loved the gazpacho. The omelet was super fluffy and frites perfectly salty and crisp. Decor is cool and tables nicely spaced out. Service was decent but felt like tried to upsell on the wine which I don't like. I'd definitely go again. Good addition to mosaic district.
Server was OUTSTANDING and attentive to our children
And spoke to them kindly and helped them order their food! Great woman!
Father’s Day dinner. Only gave 4 stars for ambiance as the air conditioning was insufficient to keep up with the outdoor heat.
Excellent service. Great food
service people can be nicer. they are a bit rude and they did not attend to the needs as they should.
food was blah. too oily and salty. the sea bass was not crispy, it was too charred to the point it overpowered the white meat taste. the sauce was too buttery. The escargot was too little, should be named as a mushroom dish. three cheese came out with just bread and some caramelized walnut. some fruit jam would be nice instead of honey.
the short rib was way too salty.
Perfect bar service
The food was exquisite, even if the duck confit fell a bit short of our expectation (and of memories from meals (all over the SudOuest in France). The service was impeccable, friendly and efficient. The ambiance was very pleasant, and it is probably unusual anywhere around here to enjoy a three-plus-hour lunch—thanks to the patient staff!
Great having a French restaurant in the area. The ingredients were fresh and the recipes well thought out. The duck confit was beautiful and scrumptious. The escargot was also pleasant and seasoned with balance and care. The sea bass, however, was definitely over cooked. Such a delicate fish can turn dry really quick. And there was a bit too much lemon. Furthermore, the chard beneath the duck hadn’t been washed thoroughly enough and had bits of tooth crunching grain in it. For the prices we paid, I’d hoped for more care, however, it was an overall enjoyable and tasty experience.
Certainly more "French Bistro" rather than fine dining but nice vibe in the restaurant. Clearly French focused menu but a bit limited in diversity. Choices range from omelet to sea bass or steak frites.
I see it as a casual dinner option and will probably return.
Excellent atmosphere and delicious food! So glad to enjoy the evening there!
My husband and I had a great time. Our server was seasoned and on the ball, she was honest with her recommendations and offered some stellar wine pairings. Food was amazing definitely will be coming back
We had a great meal and service for our anniversary. They gave us complimentary champagne on arrival and the service was quick, attentive, anticipated our needs and had wonderful suggestions. Would definitely recommend and would love to go back!
My family and I have dined with the folks at Parc de Ville more than a half dozen times, and every time the service is phenomenal. Everyone at the front of the house goes well out of their way to make sure that the experience goes smoothly and that we're happy with all of the food and drinks. Parc de Ville has an incredible menu and atmosphere, and the food is always flawless, but it's consistently our favorite place to eat because of the incredible staff and their level of service.
The restaurant felt very "corporate" and while I give places a lot of credit for starting back up again, the general quality fell short even given that. The Mosaic District needs something besides True Food and Matchbox for discerning palates!
The food, drinks and service are always excellent at Parc de Ville! We love this restaurant!
We went for lunch and about an hour after ordering the waiter explained that the kitchen had screwed up our order and they were remaking it, When the food finally arrived, it was very good. My steak was superb and my dining companion liked her trout. The manager comped our meals, so they made an attempt to make it right, The desserts were also delicious. I expect that they don't do this all the time so I would go back again as the food was good.
Celebrating a young friend's Doctor of Nursing graduation. We were early for our reservation, but they were able to seat us right away - appreciated. But then we sat at a bare table for about 10 minutes (seemed longer) before waitstaff arrived to ask about water choice. Then another 10 or so minutes of nothing. Finally got water (no ice, tho' I had asked for ice water). Ultimately waiter serving large party behind us half turned and apologized and said he'd be with us shortly. Then that took quite a long time. But he was most pleasant when he did come to answer some questions and take our order.
Cocktail: Guest enjoyed her Rose Garden cocktail, but at $16 ... I remember when I thought $12 was outrageous. Good thing I don't drink anymore! Yes, cocktails are more complex these days, but still ... we all know this is where good profit is.
Food: Daube de boeuf had a lovely square of super tender beef; puree of potatoes and sauce could have been a bit more generous. I had to borrow some of my guest's bearnaise (but then again I love sauces). She ordered the steak frites - loved the generous steak, seasoned and cooked perfectly. French fries very short, a bit limp, and disappointing overall. McDonald's and Artie's fries far superior.
Overall, I'd say the prices were a bit rich for the service and quality/quantity of our food. We might have ordered dessert but I think my guest didn't want to
lay on another $10 or so when we were fairly full.
It's a nice restaurant, and I wish I weren't so frugal by nature, or I would return for another meal. I don't like to judge on just one visit. Perhaps I'll come for dinner by myself one night and give it another shot. Maybe after the restaurant scene calms down a smidge and they are not so crazy busy!
The energetic noise level happened due to the party we were seated next to. No fault of the restaurant. We enjoyed our meal and overall had a wonderful time.
Our favorite place for a regular Friday night or a celebratory meal. We always get a few delicious cocktails, the escargot appetizer, and at least one steak frites. Other favorites include the Caesar salad, French onion soup, salmon appetizer, short rib, duck confit, Paris Brest, on and on and on. I could rave about Parc de Ville for a lifetime. In addition to fantastic food, they have exceptional service and an unbeatable ambiance.
I love this place. I can't understand why it's not full. The food is sooo good. They take food allergens seriously and I don't feel like I'm missing out when they have to omit an ingredient. The service is great. It's just an all around wonderful place to eat. I can't wait till the rooftop wine bar is open.
A bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. The food was excellent. One criticism- the wood chairs are terribly uncomfortable
Fun atmosphere. Obviously they were slammed and the staff was working their hardest to keep up! Cheese plate is fantastic. Be careful. The menu is not marked for gluten items.
