Always such a treat! Wonderful food service and atmosphere
Stunning hotel and restaurant in a prime location in the centre of Cambridge. Delightful staff. Not cheap but well worth it for a treat. Really restful and understatedly decadent.
Excellent meal. Took my parents out on 23rd Dec and it was all fantastic. Great food and service
Superb service superb view and superb food. Get the duck. Period
Generally a good experience, and it is always a pleasure to visit the UA. However I dislike being greeted with “ Hi folks” as I am a certain age which prefers something more formal.
The food was good, the scallops wonderful as usual and the mince pies the best I have had. The service was rather slow and the gap between the starter and main course too long.
Table service was ok but a waiter should never serve across a diner: surely this is a very basic thing and I would expect better.
These are relatively small issues but took the gloss off an otherwise excellent lunch..
Booked for a birthday. Staff really friendly. Food was exceptional. Great evening out.
It’s always very decent food here. Some waiting staff are extremely helpful and good! In particular Hayley in the bar area. Hayley has made our night extremely pleasant on multiple occasions!! Many thanks Hayley!! :)
We where very deflated and disappointed to turn up for our table booked 7 days previously at 5:15pm on Sunday for a late afternoon Sunday roast which we had previously enjoyed in this lovely hotel and restaurant.....but where told after been seated and given menus that due to high demand that afternoon the Sunday Roast option was not available!
So as we where expecting to have the Sunday Roast we decided to look at other options for food and a very good local Gastro pub which was still serving a Roast could accommodate us.
Though aware of the situation via. the serving staff the restaurant manager failed to further apologise or find a way to rectify the situation even at the point of us leaving the table and been charged for the one soft drink which we had initially ordered.
I would think in the future that booking numbers should be discussed between the kitchen & the restaurant as there is no real excuse for not been able to serve the Sunday roast menu late afternoon on a Sunday as I would assume this is a popular choice on this particular day....... Will we return, yes but hesitatingly.
Fantastic venue, food and service!!!
This is the second time i visited this restaurant. Last October I had sunday lunch and the beef roast was the best i ever tasted. This time I took my family on Sunday to get them to taste the roast beef, when we got there we were told they run out. The menu had only roast chicken which we all took. This is no match to roast beef.
Then for desert they had a limited choice, and again the quality is no match to previous visit.
Then when we come to pay the bill, they had the nerves to try and charge us for 8 menus when we were only four of us.
For what we had, the price is too high.
Lovely food , lovely place we have been many times
Very nice place to be and overall taste is good.
The mains was ok but starters & desserts were great.
The flavours of my meal was outstanding , but I feel that the very small piece of Hake I received was not value for money. Please look at your portions, it is not great. Thank you
Excellent food and lovely service. We look forward dining at Parker’s Tavern again soon.
Great place with enjoyable food - perhaps the menu could be slightly longer?
A lovely afternoon lunch. Beautiful food. Will be back soon.
Lacks attention to detail in service that is necessary for the ambitions of this restaurant. The food was faultless.
A wonderful evening celebrating my husband's birthday. Great food, service and ambience. It really couldn't have been better. Thank you guys.
Great selection of food and wine. Would recommend to change the font on the menus as they are too small to read
We enjoyed a lunch for 3. Quite small portion sizes. Staff very attentive .
We would visit again
We were looking forward to a pre Xmas treat . The drinks were lovely and service pleasant. My tiny portion of Catch of the Day was obviously cooked and left to stand for 15 mins before being presented- all £ 24 worth, which was not priced on menu. My husband’s Spaghetti Bolognese was a bit of pasta with a dollop of meat stew and covered with Parmesan . NOT a Bolognese sauce! To be fair, the Dining Manager did take this off the bill- he didn’t seem very surprised by our complaint. A rip off for the food in what is a lovely setting and should offer good, well cooked food at moderate prices. Perhaps they need to employ a better Chef- surely o shortage in these current times?
Had lunch at Parkers on a Tuesday afternoon there were good choices on the menu and a set lunch menu for £20 per head for 3 courses, which was excellent value. The service was very good and attentive without being overbearing. The food was delicious and well presented.
Second time here.. and second time it didn't disappoint! Good choice and relaxed atmosphere.
Had a lovely lunch, lovely and calm environment, everyone spread out so Covid friendly.
Staff were very polite and attentive, food was lovely, can't fault it.
Very nice brasserie style atmosphere. Lovely staff, good service and excellent food. Highly recommend. Very nice bar area too.
From the moment we arrived to the time we left, the attention to detail was faultless. The food was to die for!
Why is there a need to serve a steak in a bowl?!
This is the second time I have been to the PT in the afternoon - and we have had a waiter go on a break and then orders have been forgotten.
The nice waitress recommended a wine - but it was not as good as I was going to buy (under whelming for a recommendation) and then it was forgotten.
The food was not hot.
I have been quite a few times and I think the dinning room is poorly laid out - many tables you left starign at a wall.
Its competitive too, but very inferior to the Ivy.
The whole experience needs an upgrade.
The rice pudding soufle was brilliant.
Great ambience. My starter and main were beautiful in terms of presentation, but I expected more taste.
It was such a lovely time that we would go back again, thank you team.
Really nice food and service.
Prices are affordable (for upper market food) and definitely worth a trip
Excellent food and venue for a lunch / dinner . Staff very friendly and helpful . The pie of the day was excellent so was the Hake . I would highly recommend Parker’s Tavern
Really nice atmosphere, very tasty cocktails. Good wine selection. Very good covid measures.
A very disappointing meal and such a shame as we hadn’t been out for a meal without the children since January. The butternut squash Wellington was tasteless and tepid at best. If I’d have made that myself I wouldn’t have finished it. I’m sure they can do better with their vegetarian offer.
Nice place with less than mediocre quality food. Good and friendly service.
Excellent british food with great taste. Perfect setting in stylish dining room. Good and attentive service. Thoroughly recommend.
This was our third visit, always for lunch. it was quiet on Wednesday lunchtime, but the ambience is good even with low occupancy. Main course choice a little limited, but the Duck and Sole we chose were excellent.
Tables well spaced apart (COVID), friendly staff and prompt service.
Uninspiring food (especially for the price) and slow service in a very pleasant environment. What a shame.
Absolutely loved the food as usual.
Can’t stop thinking about the food there!
