Park's Edge Bar & Kitchen
Welcome to Park’s Edge Bar & Kitchen, a modern British independent neighbourhood restaurant overlooking Herne Hill’s Brockwell Park.
We're not afraid to borrow from international cuisines, bringing new flavour twists to British classic and contemporary dishes. What’s not to love about our homemade Jamaican Smoked Herring 'Solomon Gundy' on roti or our Calypso Peppered Shrimp?
We support local and regional suppliers and work hard to pair dishes with our eclectic wine selection and craft beers.
Please call if the time you want is not available.
We look forward to welcoming you!

Delicious food and drinks and incredibly attentive staff
Food and atmosphere was great. Waitress was quite pushy to take our order at first but my friend and i just wanted a drink and to catch up, then she disappeared when we did want to order. Other than that, thought it was great, will be returning.
Delicious Vegan Wellington :) Best Sunday vegan roast!
We had a lovely meal and very attentive service. It was disappointing that the restaurant was not more full and I think that pricing is a little high which will put people off and a three course set menu deal will pull in the punters which is what is needed in my humble opinion!
This is without a doubt the best place to eat in south London. I took my neighbour for her birthday and they went above and beyond to make her day. If you do not go, you are missing out!
Really great food, superb, friendly waitress.
Superb service and ambience. Sensational roast dinner with sublime carrot puree !
I booked a table for 4 for lunch and had to give my credit card details which would have been charged with 10 GBP per head in case of a no show.
What I didn't know is that they don't do lunch but something like brunch just with a very limited menu.
There was just a very small menu with 3 main courses. All of us 4 went for a burger as there were no proper choices. The burger was ok, but not great and the meat was rather dry.
I don't quite get, where those raving reviews come from as the food we had was just average. The place was half empty. Even if this would be a brunch place the menu would be way too small. If I remember correctly there were less than 10 items on it incl. 2 cocktails.
This is our fourth time. Some dishes and service is good even very good. But sometimes they are not. Cocktails are always v good and the staff are friendly. But in the end consistency is a mark of a good restaurant. Hope it can achieve this.
Disappointing: one main dish was not available at 730, the one competent waitress left about 8, and the other didn’t get a grasp of the order, dropped cutlery and was quite clumsy. Men’s toilet was not clean
Had a lovely time with family age range 6 to 84, service ways way above and beyond the call of duty. The food was lovely and cocktails amazing. Will definitely be back.
Absolutely lovely venue, beautifully decorated and the food was exceptional. The service was a little slow at times with staff not always on the look out for customers trying to get their attention, but when they made it over they were so friendly that this was easy to forgive. Highly recommend for a Sunday roast, especially the vegetarian wellington which was sublime.
So good to find a restaurant of this quality in the area. Really recommend it!
Fantastic service and food. Highly recommended
Never a disappointment, always rewarding. Have visited this restaurant a few times and will continue to
5 of us went for lunch on a Sunday and had a fabulous time. The food was fantastic, even my foodie snob friend was impressed. From the moment we arrived and were greeted at the door service was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back.
We arrived quite late, about 9:20, but were looked after perfectly. The food was different and delicious. Very impressed as a place with a bit of originality.
They didn’t charge us for a bottle of wine, and wouldn’t respond when I contacted them to correct the error. So a very good value meal.
More needs to be done to promote the outstanding food and chefs at this restaurant. Meanwhile, there's room to improve the customer service especially the speed of serving drinks and recommending drinks.
Park's Edge is an absolute gem of a restaurant. The menu is a hybrid of caribbean and modern european flavours but with a unique twist and no matter what you choose, the taste is amazing every single time we've visited. The owners and their team are so welcoming and make a point of ensuring every diner is satisfied and this makes a huge difference to the dining experience.
Great wine choices and delicious cocktails are available with wine tasting events, poetry readings and even live music to boot. There is nothing about this restaurant that I do not like. Well worth a visit!
Great, tasty food, beautifully presented and with decent portion sizes. The atmosphere is lively - maybe a little on the loud side - and the decor pleasant and relaxing. The waiting staff were very attentive.
My friend and I enjoyed a delicious dinner, the peppered shrimps were the best I've had in a long time. The food is full of flavour and the service is friendly and professional. A great addition to Herne Hill and by far the best place for those who love food.
Me and my boyfriend have been here a few times and keep coming back. The staff are so friendly and the food is delicious!
Oxtail ravioli starter and lamb main were both delicious! I'll be back for sure. Always enjoy it here.
The food was excellent and the non alcoholic drinks, Bloody Driver and Energizer, perfect. We had the crispy pork with a mustard sauce and 28 day cured steak for two with healthy green chard, potatoes and cheesy mushrooms. The dessert was equally impressive and produced right there and then. Overall we enjoyed a very good quality meal, really good value for money.
The chef has a great touch. An ordinary burger becomes delicious. V friendly staff.
A fantastic find. Classic dishes but with an edge that made them different and full of flavour. Not fusion food as such but with different worldwide influences made to each dish so they had an extra something. Perfect portion sizes so one could have three courses without feeling bloated. Great cocktails, reasonable wine prices and fizzy water that didn’t cost the earth! Welcoming ambience, professional and friendly staff. Highly recommended.
This is a lovely restaurant with friendly, attentive staff.
The food was very tasty and well balanced with flavours and seasoning.
I had a virgin cocktail which was mixed to perfection.
It's great to have a such a lovely place to eat, with a varied menu in a relaxed environment.
Please pay them a visit, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
Great Sunday lunch. Excellent choice of wine. Lovely staff. Vegan Wellington was awesome
The service was exceptional and the food was delicious. Jerk hummus and paparadelle to start - both great - as were the pork and lamb. The vibe of the restaurant was great and so nice to be able to have a conversation without screaming (music was great but not too loud).
Interesting and very well cooked and presented food.
Really lovely food - the desserts on particular were spectacular!
Visited Park's Edge once again and have to say, we were all very impressed by new dishes on the menu since our last visit. The chef team is obviously very talented there.
I was thinking classic Italian when I ordered the oxtail ravioli but we were in a modern British restaurant. The surprise was that I detected Caribbean flavours which didn't overwhelm but complemented the pasta. It was quite frankly delicious. My wife had the shrimp - really plump, large shrimp with a fantastic garlic and scotch bonnet kick. You could taste they were fresh.
A sharing cote de boeuf, again cooked to perfection was worth the money as it comes with sides including a type of spinach called 'callaloo' made into a gratin.
Our friend had the lamb with an avocado puree and street corn. The mango parfait was amazing and we shared a toffee and apple crumble. The front of house manager recommended a great bottle of red wine, Bullet Dodger which is new to the restaurant's list - really good value for an above average wine and delicious to accompany our cheeseboard. We'll definitely be back as its one of the best for food and service in the Herne Hill and Dulwich areas in my opinion and a real neighbourhood gem.
Very nice restaurant service was also really welcoming and friendly. Food was very good and would definitely go back
Wow! Everything was amazing from start to finish! The cocktails were the coolest and the food was.... sublime! The hosts were the best mix of friendliness and professionalism that I have ever experienced. I also loved the decor and the intimacy of this venue. I can’t recommend it enough!!!
Living in NYC, but from Herne Hill originally, I went here last week on a visit back to London and was amazed by how good the food was. Hands down one of the best meals I've had in a long time, and didn't break the bank either. The lamb with the mojo sauce was nothing short of spectacular. With friendly and attentive staff too, this is absolutely a top spot to dine in Herne Hill, as well as the surrounding areas!
The service was exceptional, the waitress was attentive, polite and good humoured. The food was really good, especially the Jerk hummus which was a surprising treat.
My only slight criticism was that the dessert menu could be improved but to be fair I was pretty full after the starters and mains.
Had a great dinner on Saturday night. They had phoned after I booked online to say they had a big group in and could we come a bit later so they could ensure they looked after us properly- really liked their approach and they lived up to their word. Food was excellent - really enjoyed the courgette Niçoise salad with halloumi and just had to go for parsnips and mushrooms for pudding- def worth a try. We were glad we made the effort to venture out to Herne Hill!
Lovely restaurant, good service and nice atmosphere.
Limited menu but food was outstanding; service was polite and friendly; only disappointment was that 1 of 5 dishes wasn’t available and no alternative available.
The food is on point!
The chefs are very creative and have even created ginger butter which was absolutely off the Richter Scale and was very accommodating.
I am returning later in the year for a 50th birthday party and I can't wait to try the food again!
