Parkway Prime Steakhouse & Lounge
Currently we are in Phase 3 of operation which includes 50% indoor capacity and take out. The Parkway Prime is a mid-priced Steakhouse. We also have 2 private dining rooms that can accommodate up to 24 - 45 persons. A full service lounge featuring local and favorite brews, all American wine list and beverage menu. We also feature the DoubleTree ala carte menus for all meal periods.

romaine, bacon and parmesan tossed in a creamy house made Caesar dressing with crostini and lemon
The food and the views are spectacular. However, we experienced long wait times for items. At times, service was lacking in that items (sauces) were brought late to the table (after the food was 3/4 eaten). When paying for the food, the credit card given wasn’t returned until we asked for it. Change was also requested but was not provided as well.
I don’t think the quality of the food, service, or atmosphere justified the prices. Everything was “fine”, but nothing too impressive. One of out side dishes was forgotten; brought to our table when we were nearly finished with our dinner. Everything was just okay.
I read the reviews for the restaurant and dismissed the negative reviews because I like to give the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately I should have believed the reviews. First, they had an act that was so loud that it was really difficult to hear others at my table. Second they had a waitress that was new and although I felt bad for the woman, I blame the administration for placing a new employee to serve on a Friday night, frustrating for her and for us. In addition, one of the salads had a hair in it. The manager did stop by and took care of some of the items in our bills, but I would have preferred to have paid my bill and have had better service.
Premium Chophouse prices for a mediocre meal. Absolutely no flavor. Could have had a better steak at Longhorn for 1/3 of the cost. Server was charming but it was evident that training standards and attention to detail are not emphasized. Sides not hot, no napkins with drinks, no silver on the table.
We were disappointed with food and service for prices paid. It was our anniversary and we were asked if special occasion when making reservation; however, no one seem to know or care.. Our server was unattentive and truly first time ever l have not left a more than fair tip. Will not be back.
A small bar greets you at the front of the restaurant. Friendly staff seat you. A very nice menu that has something for everyone. We both had the filet mignon, which was cooked to perfection, cut like butter, and tasted wonderful. Try the Gin Blossom from the bar. Alyssa did a great job as our server. Highly recommended!
We decided to go here for dinner because it was our 25th Wedding Anniversary and we were in town for a few days on vacation. Our server was Andrea and she was wonderful! It was the only good thing about the visit. We had reservations for 5:30pm on 9/14/2021. My wife and I both ordered the rib eye steaks, cooked medium. We also ordered au-Groton potatoes and Yukon gold mashed for sides. My wife's steak was raw and both steaks had no seasoning at all. My steak was cold. I also added the extra garlic and rosemary to my steak. The sides also had no seasoning. I realize that there is salt and pepper on the table but it's better when cooking. We were seated right next to the doors that go out to the back patio where you can dine outside if you want. We noticed two couples coming on the patio and one set had a large dog. The dog was not a service or companion dog. It was not wearing a vest and had no identification shown which is the law. We are dog lovers because we have 2 German Shepherds and a Golden Retriever. All of a sudden they come in from the patio and get seated next to us with the DOG!!!!! I am sorry we didn't say anything but we were shocked since our meal was terrible and now this! It's a high price restaurant and I didn't expect a dog laying under the table next to me. Our total bill for the steaks and sides with no alcohol was $160. This was terrible. Was wife’s birthday and waitress new it was her birthday as we ordered shots in a birthday glass and she didn’t even acknowledge it. The table next to us different waitress gave them a free brownie sundae for birthday and we got nothing.
Very nice restaurant in the lobby of the Doubletree hotel on the south side of town. The staff was excellent… the prices not as much so. I can see paying $50+ for a steak Ala Carte at a Ruth Chris’ or in NYC but certainly not the outskirts Niagara Falls in what is basically a hotel restaurant. That being said, my wife and I weren’t all that hungry so I got a Carne Asada and my wife a Portobello sandwich, neither of which I would write home about. The best part of our meal by far was the Asparagus appetizer. We would have been far better off just getting two of those. This is no reflection on the staff which was attentive, welcoming and very personable or the atmosphere of the restaurant itself… which was outstanding. Very sedate with a nice view of the river. The food was the big letdown.
Bad service. Made my mom's birthday dinner a total disapointment.
We visited for our anniversary. Even though we had a 10-15 minute wait before being seated. The food was great and was served quickly. The ambiance was great even though we decided to sit out on the patio. Note: the night bugs did eventually bother us but it was nothing major. Most importantly the service was wonderful from the greeter to the server. We would visit again.
A perfect evening on the deck. Many tables are covered, but a few aren’t which would have been brutally hot in the sun. The park and river view are great, but bring with them the normal insects and birds as a result.
Service was good not too fast or too slow, but doesn’t change out silverware or plates between courses. Being seated outside, I get it’s a long way from the kitchen so it’s not an issue other than it may exacerbate the insect presence. I hope it’s not the same for inside seating as it would make for a diner-esque experience at restaurant prices.
Our steaks, sides, and desserts were excellent. The rosemary-garlic preparation is a great touch.
The service was outstanding, our server did all she could to ensure we had a great dinner experience.
With that said, I ordered the Prime Rib medium rare. The steak was a nice piece of meat but was served sub rare. I asked our server if it can be cook further to bring it to medium rare. A different server cam and demanded I cut the steak to “Ensure it is as I wanted” and stood behind me until I did so. So here I am feeling like a child being that was being demanding and had to do as instructed. I was feeling horrible and just said it was fine. When in face it was not cooked further. I was hoping there was a splinter of medium rare in the meat so I ate about four bites but discovered it was even more raw.
I asked the server to please return it so it can be made medium rare and she was so amazing and did so. She returned it, as soon as it was completed, apologized for the “Cut it in-front of me” policy and told me there were server also steak returned for the same issue.
TLDR: The service was amazing but the cook really needs to learn how to cook medium rare.

We did get our meal comped, but...would have preferred to have something we could have eaten. With the caveat that I understand that in Covid times it's hard to get waitstaff, the service and food was pretty awful. Steak was cold and didn't come with the salad or sauce we ordered, kids burger was bad, kids chicken strips (3 small ones for $10) was served on a bed of lettuce, (which made strips soggy) my salad didn't come out. And we had to wait an hour after we sat down for the food. Table next to us also sent their food back, another table received the wrong check, and they tried to give us other people's orders twice. Staff just wandering around with trays of food not knowing which table! I'd give this one a hard pass.
Made reservations last minute on a Sunday evening, and really was hoping to sit outside. When we arrived we were seated indoors, we were told the other tables outside were reserved for other guests. The hostess, Jackie (I believe) was wonderful. After a few minutes she re-sat us. We waited a long time before any one came over to take our drink order. That was okay because we were enjoying each other’s company, and the view. It felt like they were understaffed, and many younger helpers there. They were all wonderful when they did come by. Other tables seemed to be complaining. Filet mignon was melt in your mouth good, Lobster Mac n cheese (oddly enough) was too cheesy. All in all it was enjoyable, but a bit costly for where we were.
We are outside on the patio overlooking the Niagara River. We had a most enjoyable experience all the way around as we celebrated our 11th anniversary. Everything was great!
For the price, just not worth it. Timing was poor. We barely started our drinks and the food arrived. The steak was fantastic, but I've had the same quality for much less cost. The ceasar salad was not a ceasar -- no flavor. The mashed potatoes had the consistency of baby food. Our waiter was difficult to understand, given his accent and the noise level. I reservered a window table well in advance and was not given one. I wasn't aware that their idea of a view was of the casino rather than Niagara Falls, so it didn't matter, really. Such a shame, though, given where we are. Not a great experience, especially at the prices charged.

The waitress was non attentive only coming by after meal. Drink was mixed tea with soda, Excuse was they changed tanks out. This was told to them after meal as she never checked on us. My daughter drank all her water then mine and no drink refills or water refills during meal. I ordered a filet mignon butterfly cut cooked medium well. It was delivered by someone else and was butterfly cut but charred and more than well done. My daughter immediately noticed it and told me to complain. I would have if the waitress or someone had come by. Very frustrating. I have not issue paying fro one piece of steak at $42 with nothing else attached to that price - but then it should be prepared accordingly and the waitress should have been more attentive. They were not busy and numerous open tables around. I also noticed a table nearby who did not get food in a timely manner. Once delivered they packed it all up and left. The woman told her waitress that it took way too long and they had an event to get too and would have to eat when they returned. There was nothing done for the customer other than an apology. That was wrong as well. We are coming back in 3 months with my other daughter and husband. We will most likely stay at the hotel but will not frequent this restaurant.
Burgers were over cooked. Steak was requested medium and it came medium well. It took over an hour for food to come for our table and when we asked for extra bread while we waited, we got charged for said bread.
The food was poorly seasoned we had to add salt to our steak and sea bass. The chocolate cake was cold hard and dry! My salad was suppose to come before my food however it was the last item in our table! I was celebrating my 60th birthday and wanted my meal to be memorable in a good way. Unfortunately that didn’t happen. Thank God Alisha had several items removed from our bill that’s what I’ll remember!
After waiting 30 minutes with no sign of a waiter I took our menus inside and tried to order food and drink from the bar. Thirty minutes later we received our food, but still no drink. I think an hour was a bit long to wait for a glass of wine. And they tried to blame the delay on us arriving 5 minutes early for our reservation. I will say that our drinks were free and the food was quite good.
Our meal was very good, expensive for the area we thought though. Service was fine, the entertainment was not very good! Outdoor option was beautiful! Should have done that!
The woman who seated us was rude. We had reserved a table for outdoor seating, which she would not give to us. She said we would have to wait an additional 2 hours for a table outside. That was the whole reason why we chose this restaurant. This all would have been no big deal if she would have been nice. Since she was rude, it sort of destroyed the mood and the rest of the evening.

The steaks were truly delicious and came quickly. We had a wait a bit longer for our wine, but the server compensated us by giving us a free glass--a nice gesture. Overall, it was a pleasant end of our travel day to Niagara Falls. My only complaint is that the AC was too cold!
The restaurant doesn't have enough servers to accommodate the number of diners. This is not a place to dine if you have limited time.
One of the WORST experience ever. These people haven’t updated the menu on Open table. After 9PM, there is a late night menu which doesn’t include steak. The whole purpose of going to steakhouse is to have a steak, which after 9PM can’t be done.
The sandwich wasn’t good, drink was too sweet. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Seriously disappointed. Staff was bad too. If possible would have given 0 ratings.
The service wasn’t good at all. Took a very long time. The food for the value was definitely not worth it at all.
The website wasn't updated to reflect changes in the birthday promotion. Bait and switch?? The waitress had no clue about any birthday promotion (she said she worked there for 4 years and never heard of it) and the manager came out and said the promotion had changed and the waitress was new?? So, instead of any steak for $12 we got $25 off any steak. Pretty much double the cost.
The our waitress disappeared for 15 minutes even though we knew what we wanted to order when I inquired about the birthday promotion. I had to ask the hostess to find her so we could order.
Then we had to ask for water refills twice before we got one, and had to ask for the complimentary bread basket 3 times (the last we asked the manager) before we got that. We had to ask them to take the menus off the table as well.
I didn't have the scale but the steak was not 16 ounces. Maybe 8.
To her credit the manager did gift us two free desserts for the bad service but we won't be recommending or visiting again. The price we paid definitely didn't correlate to the crappy service we got.
Took forever to get drinks and appetizers and food came at the same time. A lot of money for food that cold because you couldn’t eat it all at once.
