Superb food served beautifully. Excellent service, friendly and attentive. Lovely ambience outside...even when the rain came! A reliable jewel this summer in Oxford's eating crown
Fantastic food and service, only slightly marked down as it was our anniversary and I had spoken to them and they had said that they would do an anniversary plate which didn't happen but I would absolutely visit again.
Staff went above and beyond to make sure that we could be seated outside, even though it was raining (as it was my friends birthday, but we are very cautious with covid, so we didn't want to be inside). They even got an umbrella for the 2 steps we made from 1 side of shelter to another. I have been here in the past for afternoon tea, several years ago and it's lovely to see that this is at the same standard as last time, even during a pandemic. All of the very high tea food was delicious, I will definitely be back in the future. Well done and thank you to all of the staff, keep up the good work!
Great food reliable quality and they care
A beautiful location, friendly atmosphere and fantastic food, what’s not to love. We had a wonderful evening, definitely coming back. Can not recommend enough.
A really wonderful experience for an afternoon high tea. Brilliant service and quality of food
Excellent food service and location - whilst this is the least busy of the Oxford Collection restaurants, I attribute this to it being slightly more secluded and expensive.
One of my favourite places to eat and drink in Front Oxford. I love the decor of on the hotel and restaurant the food and service is amazing and I’d definitely recommend the Bramble if your having a drink, can’t wait to come back!
If you want to see Mark and Diana Carney chowing down on a couple of consecutive starters (a salad of tomatoes and burrata for Mark for his first -- second unobserved; a nettle soup followed by a goat's cheese both served with chips), this is your place.
A wonderful evening in picturesque surroundings. Exquisite food, attentive service, totally unhurried and a lovely touch providing a congratulations plate for graduation.
We enjoyed our dinner. The portions were great. I love how quiet and calming the ambiance is inside.
Wonderful food in an exceptional setting. As it was a beautiful July evening we sat in the courtyard which was packed. Despite this the service was exemplary. My wife and I both started with Scallops wrapped in bacon. I then had the pork and my wife the chicken pie. Finished off with Strawberry and Clotted Cream tart and Mango cheesecake with apricots. This is not a cheap restaurant but worth it all the same. Would highly recommend. We also are staying at The Old Parsonage Hotel.
Afternoon tea for daughters 21st birthday. Great time was had by all!
Wonderful location and the most excellent customer service from all and a SPECIAL mention for JAMES, most helpful and professional. We enjoyed an anniversary lunch with prompt service but did not feel hurried in any way. I consider the Parsonage for my special events regardless of the 90 minutes drive.
Celebrated my 24 birthday. Stunning atmosphere. Service was very good . Delicious food!! Such a clean place(toilets, outside and inside area) . I would absolutely recommend it , we loved it and we are certainly coming back.
The food is outstanding. Especially the fish and special desserts 🍨
Yesterday was very hot and we had the pleasure to be seating outside, with the amazing outdoor and shade this restaurant can offer ! The food was the best I had in ages, and the quality/price is great ! We had tomatoe salad with burrata.. delicious, salmon beetroots… amazing ! And for the main the chicken mushroom pie with the hand cut chips… Wonderful ! Portions are great don’t worry !
This place is a pure gem and we’ll come back for sure ! I’d recommend it to everyone !
As always attentive service and a decent breakfast.
Absolutely amazing. 10/10 😍
The steak is out of this world! Yummy 🤤
Great for eating outside. Good service and a varied selection of dishes. Sorbets outstanding!
As good as ever. Probably the 5th time we have eaten here, also having stayed at the hotel on 3 occasions. Lovely place
The best part was the soup. Overall, prices were on the high side for the quality of the food and drink. Good location.
Booked to celebrate anniversary made very welcome . A glass of bubbly to enjoy. Service outstanding nice atmosphere .Small menu but variety in the context of what has been going on in the last 18 months . Had a sample of wine to taste before buying the bottle which was a a big help. The food brilliant .A really good place to visit for a special occasion
Parsonage Grill is a lovely spot for afternoon tea. We sat outside with the gentle sound of the fountain in the background.
Went for afternoon tea and it was a delight ! The cakes and sandwiches was delish and fresh! We will be back fir another treat. Staff were friendly and attentive
Thank you for your wonderful review, Glad you enjoyed your afternoon tea experience with us!
Delicious food in a lovely setting. We sat in the garden which was perfect on a summery evening. Save space for dessert - really special. Lovely staff too.
Thank you for your fantastic review, Glad you enjoyed a summers evening with us! Hope to see you again soon.
Very much enjoyed dining alfresco at the Parsonage grill, a very pleasant experience, the food was nice if maybe overpriced for what was served. Attentive service as well.
Thank you for your lovely review, we do hope to see you again soon!
Nice table, attentive service, all courses were well presented and as described in menu.
Celebration cream tea fell short of the mark. The scones were small and dry. The cakes were all sponge. I couldn't eat any of them. There used to be proper macaroons and chocolate cake included in this tea. Sadly,I wouldn't get another one. Staff excellent as usual.
Service is friendly and attentive. The food is excellent (risotto and fishcakes, with sorbets and ice-creams to finish). Even on a Monday evening the Old Parsonage is a very popular place to eat, both outside and inside.
Thank you for your wonderful review, we do hope to see you again soon!
Friendly welcome and very good service. Sandwiches and cakes were delicious. Thank you.
Thank you for your kind review & hopefully see you again for afternoon tea soon.
Fantastic afternoon tea. Great changing facilities for babies and baby facilities too!
Thank you for the compliments on our facilities & our afternoon tea. Do hope to see you again soon!
This is such a lovely spot to have a summer lunch. The sheltered garden is beautiful and peaceful (despite being beside Banbury Road). Delicious food with attentive, friendly staff. It’s a really nice place for lunch in Oxford. Particular mention goes to the Crab starter and the hand cut chips.
Thank you for your wonderful review, really pleased you enjoyed your lunch in our terrace! I will be sure to pass on your compliments on our crab starter to our head chef!
Always delightful! My favourite place in Oxford!!!
Thank you for your kind feedback, I hope to see you again soon.
We visited the restaurant for a family special occasion and we left completely delighted by the whole experience. Sam & his team were outstanding, taking pre-arrival requests, welcoming us warmly and attending to our every ‘need’ quietly and effectively. The food was absolutely top-notch, beautifully presented an exquisite. The surroundings are lovely & the atmosphere calm yet friendly.
If you want a special night out, in my opinion you’ll be hard pushed to beat the Parsonage Grill.
Thank you very much for your kind review. I'll pass along your kind feedback to the team who will be delighted to hear it! I do hope you'll celebrate with us again soon.
We had a lovely evening. The food was delicious and the service superb.
Dear John, Thank you for your kind feedback, I hope to see you again soon.
I have been before and it doesn’t disappoint. My wife and I had a lovely meal for our anniversary.
Dear Michael, Thank you for your kind review. I hope you'll celebrate with us again soon.
The location, service and food was fantastic.
Thank you for your lovely feedback & look forward to welcoming you back soon.
The Very Afternoon Tea was really good. Although I didn't get an explanation what the different sandwiches and cakes were. But overall the service was good and the ambience was great
Dear Julia, Thank you for your feedback. Sorry to hear that the Afternoon Tea stand wasn't explained to you upon arrival, this is definitely part of our standard procedure and so I'm dismayed to hear it didn't happen on this occasion. I'm glad to hear however that your experience was a good one. Hope you'll try us again soon.
This is a favourite destination for my wife, and so we booked a table for her birthday.
From the moment we arrived, the service and attentiveness was first class.
We had the goats cheese souffle and the trout to start. The soufflé was light and fluffy with a subtle cheese flavour - a perfect light appetiser. The trout was, as you would expect, more robust but the horseradish mayonnaise and beetroot salad accompaniments were perfectly suited to the fish. A great start.
Saddle of lamb and a ribeye steak were our mains. Faultless. I will leave it at that (though the violet artichokes with the lamb were gorgeous)
With the healthy portions of thick-cut chips, we decided not to proceed with desserts - though the restaurant brought my wife a pair of beautiful sweet canapés with Happy Birthday artfully written on the plate in chocolate - a lovely touch.
Lovely evening, beautiful food, fabulous service
Thank you for your kind review. I'm so pleased to hear that we are a favourite of yours and that we delivered on this occasion. I hope to see you again soon.
