Great place with a really nice and calm atmosphere, I loved the decor and the food was amazing. For the first time the meat on the kebab was cooked perfectly, juicy and tasty usually it's quite dry or not marinated well in advance. The hummus was also very tasty, really enjoyed the evening and it was quiet enough to have a chat with my friends, no loud people around!
Food was really nice!!!! Servjce was good!! Decent list of cocktails to choose from will defo go there again!!
An excellent value for money lunch in relaxed surroundings with attentive staff. Would definitely recommend.
Very nice atmosphere good service, starters were really good, not particularly blown away with the main course but overall nice. The bar upstairs is a really nice touch and it was good fun and well run ...
Finally got to go here and was worth the wait! A little pricey but lovely food and lush cocktails. Only downfall as not much room at table and person behind rammed seat into me without apologising but can't expect all people in Essex to be polite :) overall lovely place top tip as I didn't know there's parking & entrance around the back.
Early sitting but felt rushed during service. Good food and value for money.
Valentine’s Meal, food was outstanding and staff so friendly, highly recommend
Valentines Dinner - great food and excellent service made for enjoyable evening
Excellent Food, great atmosphere, great service. Great to have a bar to drink in before and after meal. Would definitely recommend.
It was my birthday and they where lovely and very attentive from start to finish.
Loved the cocktails and food amazing, great value for fantastic service x
Had set menu bit disappointed with size of portions - used to be much better value & included a glass of wine - food is always good & excellent service
Great food but was sat right next to the door to the old pub, not warm!
Had our first visit last weekend and it will definitely not be our last. Great food, great atmosphere with friendly and attentive staff. Made the extra effort to acknowledge the birthday we were celebrating.
We shall very much look forward to paying another visit.
Came for my birthday and had such a lovely evening. We had the 830 sitting and was perfect time. Great food for a great value of money! Service can be a little slow but they’re all very helpful and responsive. Especially as I had a dietary need. Upstairs bar was fantastic. Great for a little dance and drinks after dinner with the DJ!
Food was lovely, nice place!
Only bad thing was that we were really rushed off our table. I wasn’t told when booking that you’re only allowed the table for 2 hours & they were a bit rude in getting us off of it.
Very well prepared delicious food, beautifully served
My partner booked for us to go to Pascha on New Years Eve for a meal, I looked on the website at their menu & saw there were a lot of options for food, around £20 for a main each which was fine. However, when we arrived we were handed a 'New Years Eve set 4 course' menu, had no prices on it whatsoever, just the choices of food, so as that was the only option, we selected our options and thought nothing else of it. The starter was an avocado salad, a 'palate cleanser' (tasted disgusting, no one on any table around us ate it), then a selection of Turkish kebabs for main, then for dessert we went for cheesecake (which they didn't even have so I had to change my order). We had ONE drink each, a small glass of wine & a beer.
The whole evening we had to yell at each other across the table just to talk as we were surrounded by big tables of people, which I know cannot be helped on New Years Eve but surely you would have a section for people of 2 so they can actually have a nice romantic meal and talk to each other, even the waitress was yelling at us when asking for drinks etc. The service was also shocking, we felt we were being rushed with our food, putting meals down before we had even finished the course before, as if they were waiting for the table to be cleared so they could hoard the next lot of people in.
Then the bill came, we had a guess what we thought the bill was going to be at the end, we said around £120 as its supposed to be a 'fancy' restaurant, even though after the evening we'd had we didn't even think it was worth that... £214.48!!!
I was shocked as there was no way in hell we had ordered £214 worth of food and drinks, when we looked closer the 'set menu' was £90pp (DEFINITELY not worth that price), £10 for our drinks then £25 as a 'service charge'. I complained to the manager and he offered me a bottle of wine if I went up to their bar upstairs.. as if I was going to be funding anymore money into that place! If I could give 0 stars I would! Shocking.
Taking friends out for a meal
Lovely food with great service, quick and friendly. We had a great night and loved the bramble cocktails
Food was superb ! 10/10 service was lovely will definitely recommend and will be coming back !
I had booked well in advance for a special birthday for my Partner and requested the table be decorated and for a birthday plate with a 'no singing' request. I called the restaurant a few weeks before to check everything was okay and again on the day, just 2 hours before, all confirmed to be in hand. We arrived and were seated at an 'undecorated' table at the back of the restaurant in front of the service bar even though there were plenty of seats in the main restaurant, it felt like we were in the midst of service activity, it being the waiting ground for bar staff to chat right in front of our table whilst waiting for cocktail orders etc. We may as well have been sat in the kitchen! I was told on the phone that the birthday plate would come out after the main meal. I ordered a coffee as a prompt, nothing came out. I spoke to a waitress who looked at me blankly, I wasn't reassured so I mentioned it to another waitress on my way back to the table, it finally came 10 minutes later (one measly scoop of ice- cream!) and the staff starting singing so I had to awkwardly shut it down! We later found out my Partner's sister had visited the restaurant and paid £30 towards the bill for us and left a birthday message, however this was not delivered and did not come off the bill. She found the booking on your system and told me there were no 'notes' at all under my booking! It's really bad to promise things to a customer and not bother to record it anywhere for staff on the night to deliver when I reminded you 3 times! We had traveled all the way from Colchester! It's such a shame that the restaurant was seemingly too busy to deliver the appropriate level of customer service. Perhaps less bookings should be taken so you can deliver a better service. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant to anyone else or be in a rush to visit again. These really were very simple requests, and it doesn't take a lot to follow through with them. All very disappointing for a special occasion.
Good atmosphere, friendly staff! Tasty food, great parking! Definitely worth the trip.
Sat us in the gazebo..... freezing! Waiter said we would acclimatise 😤 Saw the owner close one of the doors to the main restaurant, pretty sure because people were complaining it was cold, pointed it out to waiter, he was very defensive and told us he didn’t know why but would speak to owner. After sitting in the cold for 30 mins they discovered they do have heating and turned the place into a greenhouse! Main course took 40mins, mash was cold! Waiter didn’t take our food but said he would bring more mash, by the time it came we had finished our lamb. I have eaten here twice before without a problem but feel they have created more restaurant (gazebo) for the Xmas season (more money) but they definitely have overstretched themselves at great cost. I could go on but the list is endless. We shall not be rushing back!
Went for a girls Christmas lunch with the bottomless prosecco. Attentive staff and good value. Food was fantastic
We were disappointed to only have a choice from the Christmas menu but the food was very good and I would recommend. This is the second time I have been and both times I found the seats against the wall to be too low for the table height and uncomfortable, they need a cushion for comfort and extra height. The seats at the other side of the table which are individual chairs are absolutely fine.
I have been to Pasha several times and I was hugely disappointed this time around. I was told that it was going to be a set menu, when we arrived we were a set menu to choose from. 2 courses for £23.95. Even though there was a limited choice to choose from we were happy with the set menu.
When the bill arrived I noticed we were charged for individuals items rather than being charged the set menu prices. When I queried it the waitress she said they decided it wasn’t working so they were now charging individual prices. I queried why we weren’t given the choice of a full menu then and she look dumbfounded. No offer the give us for set price anyway or any discount. Massive let down.
Very disappointed, our table wasn't available, had to go & ask for seating after half hour, very noisy, asked to move as restaurant area was so loud & incredibly hot. Food was good, best thing about our evening was the company we were with
Took some friends on a Saturday evening was very disappointed from when we arrived right through to the end of our meal.
Will not return
Decided on this restaurant for my husband and I on my birthday. The service was very good. The food good although not great. I would recommend this place for groups, birthdays, hens/stag dos etc but definitely not for a romantic or quiet couple night. Value for money? Definitely. Definitely recommend the cocktails!
We were put in a marquee off the main building, which was freezing at first. We spoke to the waiter, who advised there was no room in the main restaurant, but the marquee does get hot quickly. They had 2 heaters which would go on for 10-15 mins then turn off. This is because when they came on after a few minutes is was sweltering. So all night you were either really cold or really hot.
The staff were really nice, they made the meal and couldn't have done enough.
The cocktails were really good too, but the food was a bit of a let down. For what you pay, it wasn't amazing, and sheesh or aspera are much better.
Its good for the location, so I might come back again if we wanted to have a half healthy meal before going out, but it not anywhere I would rush to go to.
Arrived to find our table in a busy narrow corridor, almost had my head taken out by a tray, we asked to move, the staff were reluctant to do this and not very friendly, we did eventually move to another table against the window which was far better, but there wasn't enough room between tables to pull your chair out to be able to get in easily!
A while later another couple were placed at our previous table, they left after ten minutes!
The waitress who served us for the second half of our meal was very friendly and helpful. We cannot fault her.
The food was good but I am not sure it can be described as fine dining and seemed very overpriced for what it was.
The restaurant was absolutely rammed, including a large noisy hen party and large noisy Birthday party, again, not what you would expect from a restaurant claiming to be fine dining, it was chaos.
I have eaten here once before and we were seated at the rear of the restaurant, with plenty of space and a relatively peaceful meal so I was particularly disappointed this time around (we thought it expensive for what it was then).
Overall, good food, overpriced, not what I would consider fine dining, and far far too many tables squeezed into the space.
Do not come here at the weekends if you are looking for a cosy meal out. Noise levels were super high and there were tables with people just taking advantage of the happy hour on the 2 for 1 cocktails. Could not really hear anyone talk unless you were sat next to them.
The food is very tasty though, and the service is top notch. I would definitely recommend dining here Tuesday to Thursday - very good.
The service was very good and the set menu excellent value for money. We went for our wedding anniversary and were given a fantastic free dessert complete with sparkling candle! Would definitely recommend.
Fab place and great food all for an amazing price. 5 stars
Fantastic food, cocktails and service as always! I would definitely recommend for a special occasion.
Great meal and excellent service.
We were impressed with the menu, the food, the friendly and helpful staff and the setting. What more can I say😊
Lovely restaurant, nice atmosphere and beautiful tasty food served with a smile. A bit pricey but would highly recommend for a lovely evening out.
Went to Pasha with my husband for our anniversary. We thoughly enjoyed our evening and had just what was required good food excellent service and a friendly atmosphere. We won't wait untill next year to return I wiuld happily eat there anytime Bravo Pasha
A fantastic meal and cocktails once again at Pasha. Service very friendly and attentive, couldn’t have asked for more!
Friendly welcome, quick service, good food.
Very noisy atmosphere with lots of diners talking, and quite dark interior (great if you've a headache or want a romantic meal 😉).
However, wasn't until went to place order, that we said what we wanted, to be told it wasn't available, so had to quickly decide on another dish.
Had to ask for the dips, where as family went last week and they were brought out straight away with the starters.
Yes I'd recommend for lunch without any doubt, as very reasonable for two-course set meal.
However, couldn't afford to eat there for an evening meal ☹️
