The food was really nice, unfortunately, we were seated close to the emergency door and it was cool, but the rest was perfect.
Food was a bit pricey but good food an ambience. Good social distancing
Just a wonderful atmosphere for a dinner for two!
Restaurant felt very tired, hasn’t been updated/painted in a long time. Walls and general decor quite shabby. Food was generally pretty good but the place lacked ambience. The service was good, the staff suitably friendly and attentive.
Service was incredible and the food was amazing. The food tasted and looked fantastic. It was value for money and safety under the current COVID-19 restrictions was paramount. We felt looked after and would highly recommend a visit
Starters were underwhelming, mains were lovely as usual. Shame we couldn’t sit downstairs as the ambience there is better. Decent service, appreciated the complementary birthday dessert! Thank you Patara
Excellent Thai food in London. Service was prompt and helpful. Not exactly a romantic or very private dining experience, but good value. I expect it would be quite noisy when full. We’ll be back.
fantastic, totally worth to come, spend an unforgettable time of my 23rd birthday
too expensive. no value for money. it is overpriced.
Just a lovely lovely evening ..... the biggest call-out is the quality of the food .... I am no “culinaire” but to me it was simply outstanding in very respect ....THANKYOU!!
This is our 3rd time to this restaurant.
Fist 2x fantastic, this time, much have been sold to
New owner: this food was dreadful & over cooked, over sweetened, it was like Chinese food!
Will never go back & never recommend this restaurant!!!
Great food, great service. Look forward to coming back!
Outstanding food and very friendly "just right" service. Appropriate safety precautions. A real treat on a rainy night during a pandemic! We wish Patara good fortune with their business during these tough times.
Always enjoyed their food. Quiet...enough gave us social distances.
Food was very tasty and a good choice. Only issue was food was served not very hot, the rice was so cold we had to send it back.
Went on a Sunday afternoon before the theatre so were the only ones there for a large amount of the time we were there.
We were plonked downstairs in the basement, no ambiance whatever. Food ok but, have had a lot better elsewhere
Excellent service and how they took care in relation to COVID
Enjoyed yellow curry crab very much. The beef was also tasty but getting cold after 5 mins.
Noise level was very high which made it slightly difficult to have a nice relaxing meal but everything else was fabulous. Food as always delicious
The food was quite nice but not exceptional, and both my friend and I didn't digest it very well. The restaurant had very little atmosphere.
Excellent value lunch menu, top courgette dish
Nice food and service.
Clean tables and amenities.
As always, the Patara staff are attentive, polite & unobtrusive. The food is "haute Thai"
Great good but a bit too pricey. Great service, restaurant was a bit crammed.
Such a lovely restaurant. Service was great, mocktails were tasty but the food was delicious. Best prawn and tofu Pad Thai I've had in a very long time! Seabass and prawn and asparagus rolls were amazing!
It was good to see that Patara in Maddox Street had reopened following the lockdown and I was looking forward to good Thai food. It was disappointing that having been open only a few days they had run out of the red wine, vegetarian taco starter and Chinese water spinach side. It also seems that they have increased the prices since lockdown so I feel there are better more affordable options for dinner in the area.
Great updated menu
A good place to catch up. The food was great and social distancing observed.
Patara maintain their standards.
Waited 20 mins least for the bill. Food was good but many dishes were not available on the day.
Really nice, rice portions could be bigger. But overall a great experience. Not entirely worth the price but again, not bad at all.
I regularly eat here and it is always a great meal. It has everything: friendly staff, modern twists on traditional dishes, and a well thought out drinks offer. It's not the cheapest Thai you'll ever have, but it'll definitely be one of the best!
Nice thai restaurant. Excellent food. Great location.
Went to celebrate my friend's birthday and we opted for £40 set menu each, and for the amount of food we got, I felt it was poor value for money. Quality of food was excellent.
Absolutely top class- one of the best I've been to in central London!
I've been to Patara several times in the past and thoroughly enjoyed it but this time I felt it really wasn't that good. We opted for one of the set menus, all the starters were luke warm and apart from the Thai green curry (which was amazing) the other main courses were average. The dessert was far too sweet and tasted shop-bought. Portion sizes were also small. And then there was the blow of the bill which was just ridiculous; so over-priced. Overall I was disappointed - my expectations were high given the great meals I've had there before.
The food is Amazing A1 but losing the wow factor it used to have. Don’t become like a Busaba Thai.
We ate here before going to a gig at Palladium. Food is delicious and beautifully presented. We had curries for main which were on heaters to keep them warm, plus there were heated plates, so those were both nice touches. It is pretty pricey, but I guess that's a consequence of having such a great site beside Regent Street. Service was outstanding, with them even being considerate enough to let us leave a bag in cloakroom to collect later. Would recommend.
Was very noisy though, but server was very accommodating and moved our table of 5 to a quieter section of the restaurant
Food was delicious but a little too salty and sweet for me
