Fantastic food and impeccable service. Would definitely recommend!
Quality of food drop constantly in the last few years. Not a Thai restaurant any longer. Just turistic good looking like Thai
Superb authentic Thai food with a wonderful menu. Go for the Banquet!
Great food at Patara - as ever with Thai food, starters are underwhelming and best avoided but main courses superb. Black Cod, Beef Cheek, Tamarind Duck all featured and were beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. Service is a bit limp for the ambience they are trying to create - like scrapping left overs onto one plate in front of you and trying to stack all dishes up in one trip - leaves a bit to be desired. Wine waiter was out of his depth. But overall it’s my favourite Thai in London as the food is outstanding and in the end, that’s what matters!
The waiter forgot one of our starters but the lamb was delicious I’d definitely recommend it and the prawns were also tasty, good portions and prices.
the downstairs room was really too loud and noisy. I had a hard time hearing the person in front of me talking.. but the food is good and the staff friendly !
The person welcoming to your reservation is extremely unprofessional and rude. He did not even look at me as I was talking to him and asking him to change our table. The manager then came to express how hurt he felt by the way I was speaking to his colleague which was simply ridiculous.
Thankfully the food was very good and the staff serving us were kind.
We were a party of 4 and it was our first time at this restaurant. We shared 2 prawn and chicken satay between for us starters as we weren't sure of the portion size of the main course. It turned out to be good move. We all enjoyed our main courses that were very generous portion size. We all went on to have desert which again we all thoroughly enjoyed. We also had several beers and a couple of bottles of wine. Not exactly sure what total bill was but I seem too recall it was just under £70.00 each.
We all agreed that we would definitely visit again.
Food was excellent. Staff were welcoming and attentive. Service was relatively quick! Would definitely return.
Attentive staff, great food and a lovely evening out! Would definitely recommend Patara if you love Thai food
Food was delicious with generous portion sizes, I will definitely be going back again and again!
The staff is so friendly, absolutely great place
We went to this restaurant on our anniversary with my partner. The food was good quality and the service was spotless. The ambience of the place was also fitting for an anniversary, so I have no complaints on that front. The only problems I had were that we could not pay with card and had to visit the nearby ATM, since the network was shut down on the day. Also, we were not told about the prices of water.
Was OK. Waiters not very helpful as didnt really understand questions. Felt a bit brusque and abrupt in their manner and didnt really make us wellcome. The front of house staff were very polite and friendly. They were cash only due to internet problems which was difficult.
A great place and lovely staff
Very good food!
I ordered sea bass and lemon grass. The sea bass was deep fried and came in a batter which I wouldn’t have ordered if I’d have known. If I wanted that I’d go to my local chippy for a fraction of the price.
Our overall experience of Patara was great. Top marks for food and ambience! The only thing was the speed of service - our drinks arrived almost 20 seconds after placing order. Similarly our starters came after just 2 minutes and halfway through eating our starters we were asked if we would like our main meal. We had hoped to enjoy the dining experience and this is certainly no fast food restaurant and I feel the service should match the quality of the food and atmosphere. After pointing this out we were able to enjoy the rest of our meal without rush. I would recommend the restaurant for the quality and authentic feel of the food.
Good service, atmosphere and most people really enjoyed their food.
A lovely setting, with beautiful decor. The food was very good, I chose the spicy option. Wow, blew my socks off! We got a deal, 3 courses for £19.00 can't go wrong with that. I want to go back with my husband soon.
Awesome food! Prob the best Thai we’ve ever had. Does annoy me when restaurants add a 12.5% service charge mind (only down side)
Had a beautiful meal for 2 here on saturday eve prior to attending the theatre. Staff were very polite and welcoming. Decor is great - it is a real chic dining space. The food was outstanding from start to finish. Great value for what you receive.
It was ver wonderful afternoon. The food was very nice & service was fabulous. The staff were very friendly.
Atmosphere was very nice too.
Food always fresh and excellent. Given the fact that I booked the table in advance, I would have prefered to get a table less close to the exit door but otherwise service was very good. Definitely a good place for a date or habg out with friends or family around a good meal
Went for a quick meal before visiting the theatre. The pre-theatre menu is great value for money. Can’t fault the service and the food was delicious.
Great food and service in a relaxed environment in the centre of soho. Thai sea bass is delicious
Enjoyed dinning here very much. Anice find in Soho, better than most.
A lovely intimate restaurant, great service and atmosphere. Will be back again.
very good thai restaurant, enjoyed in particular the beef cheeks and the mixed starter platter.
good service and good value for money
1 minor complaint, took a while bringing drinks over but busy Friday night and everything else great. Fantastic food and service with a smile. Would definitely recommend.
Amazing experience, staff were lovely and very polite. Food was amazing, slightly pricing but worth it!! Looking forward to visiting again very soon.
Very nice place and cuisine.
Been there with my young kids, they loved the food.
Sehr leckeres Essen, super netter Service. Gerne wieder.
Very tasty Thai, friendly service, vegetarian dish was really good, good price, busy soho neighborhood with bars
Good Thai seems to be a bit of struggle in central London, most are average but Patara is way above average
Very good food but so noisy I just can’t hear my guests
I've eaten here a few times over several years and have consistently enjoyed the occasion. I like the food very much. I don't think the staff could be more welcoming, friendly or attentive. The overall experience is charming and relaxed, and the value for money is excellent.
As normal Thai food is was good but modern Thai but I’m sorry it doesn’t meet muster.
The sea bass was delicious full of flavour and a nice hit of heat but the Penang beef cheeks were a let down, big large pieces not quite cooked enough with a curry that was quite bland. I am so used to having big hits of flavour with my Thai food and this was a bit hit and miss. The owners need to go out and see what others are doing, my first experience of Longrain in Sydney will never be forgotten.
The service was good and the waitpeople very friendly and efficient. I can often overlook this if the food is good but if the best thing is the service then the restaurant has missed the point.
Our third time to patara. Banquet every time, and it was delicious. We forgot to ask for it to be more spicy, so a little mild for our taste, but still good.
