Patara - Soho
Beautiful food and good service. We would definitely go back
Excellent food and selection. Only one set menu however.
My mother is Thai and was visiting London. Patara was recommended to us, and it did not disappoint. The food was great, and they served my favorite dish (Rad Nar). The staff was very friendly, the menu was broad, the food was outstanding, and all for a good value. I highly recommend!
Excellent Thai food, freshly prepared. Friendly and attentive service.
I've been to the Oxford Circus branch before which I remember being nicer. Was a little dissapointed with the meal. However, the ambience and service was really good.
Lovely people and service. We arrived a but late, and despite they close at 2pm, they served us with no hurry (we did not know they closed at 2pm). Food was good although my stemmed fished had to many vegetables and disguise the flavour of the ginger and lemongrass. I would not ask for it again. The rest was lovely.
Amazing food. Patara never got wrong.
Excellent Thai food with attentive staff, varied and reasonably priced wine list in relaxing surroundings.
Overall very nice experience. Greeted by a very nice staff. He went above and beyond. Food was amazing!
Amazing food. I've eaten at a lot of Thai restaurants and this is up there with the best.
Very tasty food though but I don't think we will go back here. I was looking to order a bottle of red wine priced around the £24 mark. The waiter said he would recommend their house wine which was very good. I was about to accept that recommendation but asked him how much this bottle would be. He said he didn't know but would find out. He came back and said it would be £48. I doubt the integrity of a restaurant that tries to upsell it's wine to the "house wine" charged at £48.
Patara never fails to disappoint - the service was fast and first class, made us feel very welcomed; the food was delicious and exquisite; and we had a lovely seating. We will definitely be coming back soon!!
Decent ambiance, pretty good food, albeit overpriced for such fayre, but it was the service which let it down badly for me... it was apparent that they wanted to get another cover from our table and we felt rushed - plates cleared away far too quickly, dessert menus delivered before we had swallowed the last mouthful of our main course. One server was particularly rude and made us feel like it was a problem to get us another bottle of water. A shame really, as I would like to recommend it, but as I wouldn’t go back myself, I don’t feel I can... there are plenty of other places nearby I would rather eat. In short, not the worst restaurant, a pleasant place to sit and eat reasonable food if you don’t mind the relentlessly ‘efficient’ service!
Excellent food quality. Wine is overpriced unfortunately
Went a la carte. It was really good, generous portions and flavoursome. There was a slight delay after being seated before asking about drinks, but nothing too bad.
Nice environment. Very relaxing, quiet and refined. Good food but definitely pretty expensive.
Love this restaurant. We’ve been before, but I took my mum for her first visit. Fantastic staff, service and food. Marked down a tiny bit purely because there was a bit of building work going on above the restaurant. The lunch menu is great value. We’ll definitely be back.
A Christmas & Birthday gift for a couple who love Thai food & said they have never tasted such superb food anywhere! We weren’t rushed & all the dishes were shared . Very very nice . Thank you Patara we will be back.
The restaurant was beautiful and the ambiance even more so.. starters were fantastic and so were the cocktails.. the mains were perhaps a little less spicy and flavourful than expected . Saying that I had just returned from Thailand so maybe I was expecting too much.. overall a very good place with a price tag to match
Great restaurant, intimate atmosphere and lighting, aromatic and flavourful food.
Great quick service perfect for before the theatre.
Tasty food and helpful staff
Lovely food in a pleasant setting
Truly one of the very best restaurants I
have ever eaten in. Food Quality: 10/10. Service: 10/10. Price: 10/10 (Not cheap but worth every penny). Cleanliness: 10/10. Restaurant overall: 10/10. Perfect pkace for a date & authentic thai cuisine.
Patara was recommended to me by a friend and I really enjoyed the food and wine. I'm coeliac and had no problem with gluten-free dishes - there are a number of options.
Great service, food came quickly and so far is one of the best Thai places I've eaten at. The food is a little pricey however it was worth every pound as you get great quality
Getting together with friends.
had a lovely NYE dinner. service was good, food excellent.
Food was so bad for the price .... i cant eat better on the street for 8 pound
I always loved this restaurant however this time we needed tk rush ordering as the kitchen was closing very soon.
Love this place! Great food, great service, great location.
Disappointing food, especially the desserts. Service was good.
Good food even though not traditional Thai
Excellent food and service. A special mention also for looking after me when I mentioned I had an allergy to shellfish and providing me with amazing freshly cooked food that was safeties eat. Nothing was too much trouble and we will certainly be back.
We have visited Patara many times over the years, and this time was back to their excellent best. The food was all delicious and service was friendly and efficient. A great place to end a day out in London with tasty Thai flavours.
Come here every year as the food is incredible. The service is always spot on and is located in a great part of London. Never Disappoints and is great for pre / post theatre meals!
Amazing veggy options, nice food little expensive. The device is good and quick.
The food was wonderful but the service was poor, I had been before and thought it may be worth another shot. We asked for tap water instead of still and then they wouldn’t take our larger drink order for another 20minutes. While waiting three more tables were sat and got there drinks while one other had arrived after us and got food to their table. Apart from feeling a little neglected the food was wonderful.
Booked for my 25th birthday. The food was lovely, restaurant was cosy and the staff was outstanding! Thank you.
The staff were very good and provided a very good service but the manager hoodwinked me and overcharged me! Probably because we complained that he did not have in stock our first and seconf choice of whisky and that we had to settle for our third choice!
The bill came to £340 including service charge between 5 of us. We were spliting the bill 5 ways. Four of my friends paid first then the manager came to me for the payment with the credit card machine and asked if it was ok to charge £70? I said I will pay the balance. The manager should have charged me £60 as he had already received £280 of the £360 bill but he actually charged me £68! I only realised the next day when I was sober! Lesson: Check the figure you are paying before you authorise payment!
