Patara - Soho
Staff are amazing. Very attentive and very happy. Its clean and foods amazing. What more could you ask for.
Lovely food, service was quick, staff were very attentive. I informed the staff that it was my wife’s birthday and they provided a little treat - a nice touch.
The food was GREAT and also the service BUT it was too hot in the room and I had a spotlight on me, so please fix the lighting in the place.
The food was incredible. The interior design was so gorgeous. I’d definitely recommend and I’m definitely going back!
Restaurant was lovely, food was good. But overpriced for what you get. Small portions and a pretty standard choice of options for even a basic Thai restaurant (ie green curry, pad Thai etc) but is referred to as ‘fine dining’.
Experience was good but overall, are just charging more than other really good Thai restaurants in the area for the same thing
Excellent food and service. Highly recommended!
Amazing food and great service
Lovely restaurant and the food is delicious. Slight confusion over our orders but was sorted easily, would recommend.
Special family occasion at Patara. Food was incredible - we loved the lamb and pad Thai particularly. Service was exceptional and the team were particularly lovely with our teenagers. They also found and looked after my glasses which I managed to leave on the table- thank you!
Superb Thai food would definitely recommend !
I don’t like the service charge! The restaurant is expensive than other Thai restaurants and you put 12.5% on top of it which I wouldn’t necessarily pay. That’s very naughty:(
Great atmosphere, wonderful food and excellent service.
Amazing tastes and expertly delivered in preparation presentation and service. Really truly appreciated the generous gesture when my husband could not decide between desserts. They gave him a cheeky scoop of coconut ice cream which was to die for. Thank you. Will most definitely come again. ❤️👍🏽
This was my first time at Patara. The service was good though at times it felt a little rushed- the manager asked to take our food order about 1 minute after being handed the menu (admittedly by someone else)
The starters were good (chicken satay and fishcakes) and tasted fresh and were hot. The pad Thai was tasty though the chicken needed to be hotter- it was luke warm.
Good location and nice interior though a little raucous at times- though probably as you would imagine on a Saturday night in Soho.
The pre-theatre/early bird set menu was very good value and had an excellent choice. The restaurant had a very nice atmosphere and service was friendly and efficient. A very pleasant evening. Will definitely return.
Excellent food and atmosphere. Professional and very kind staff. A lot of traditional and revisited thai specialties. Definitely I would recommend this restaurant.
staff not terribly friendly..service felt cold
We were running late and did not find the staff helpful
28 minutes past 6 and they would not allow us to order the theatre menu.
The report was that it ended at 6.30 and the would not go through the till
Pre theatre supper. Very convenient location. Very friendly staff. Lovely table at front of restaurant. Delicious food. Great service. Definitely recommend.
The food was fabulous and the service, brilliant
Was in London for the weekend and had to come back here the food is to die for!! Me and my partner came across this little gem a couple of years ago and now every time we come to London we always come here to eat the food is just incredible the service is great too. Next time I’m in London I will be for sure coming back!
We knew we were in for a treat from the moment we stepped through the door. Greeted as we were where ever we went on our honeymoon in Thailand. The service was exceptional and the food even better. The food took us right back to being in Thailand, the Pad Thai in particular took us right back to sitting on the ground in Bangkok eating our Pad Thai from a street vendor which was a highlight for us. Highly recommended this restaurant.
Fantastic food, reasonable prices and great cocktails!!!
Ambience as ever was good, as was the service. The food was delicious - several of my friends had not eaten Thai before and declared it really tasty. We had one extra person turn up - I had informed the restaurant direct the evening before - and that was no problem. Because I am a member of the Anglo-Thai society everyone received the discount, not just me (we were paying individually), which was very gracious of them.
Pleasant restaurant with adequate service. Thenpre theatre menu has small portions (you will leave hungry with just 2 courses). Thai food is known for its fresh and flavour packed taste. The pre theatre menu (we tried 4 dishes each from the starter and main course offerings. Mediocre at best. This was a shame as we had wanted to treat our Canadian visitors to something nice.
Staff are super friendly and very helpful. Food is beautifully presented and cooked to a very high standard. The Chor Muang (dumplings ) are incredible; a sweet, creamy, salty, taste sensation!
Food was absolutely beautiful. Honestly one of the best meals I have ever had. We had the platter to start with, which was lovely to try a selection of the starters available. The dishes were very flavourful.
I had the lamb shank massaman for mains, this was one of the best dishes I have ever had. The meat was cooked perfectly, fell off the bone. And the sauce had a lovely flavour.
Drinks service initially was a little slow but after this it was fine and staff were very attentive. Food is a little pricey, but not un-affordable, and as the food was so good we were happy to pay it.
We will definitely be back in the near future
Would suggest you go to South Kensington Patara, our dinner here was only adequate.
A brilliant Thai restaurant very near the cursed child. Food was amazing. Very tasty. Waite staff were attentive but not overly so. Throughly enjoyed our meal. Would 100% recommend.
Great food, nice interior and staff were very friendly. Would definitely go back!
very enjoyable time. tasty food and good portion size. service was efficient but not intrusive. i would go again
Brilliant ambience. Amazing service. Staff all very friendly and helpful. One of the best meals in along time. They made my husband birthday celebration very special for us both. 10/10
we were happy to have dinner in that very nice restaurant and food was excellent
Nice restaurant was clean, well located, a bit of deception. I had higher expectation for a Thai restaurant at that price. Food was fresh and good but not at this price point. Also, even if we were not the latest reservation available, they bring us the bill before the end of our dessert, stopped the music and started cleaning the floor. Could have wait or at lease excuse them to us.
Authentic and Class
Portions could have been a little bigger but overall excellent dining experience.
Food was very tasty. My son and I had to choose from the Gluten Free menu which wasn't very extensive. However, we enjoyed what we had.
We sat downstairs which was reasonably quiet. However, there didn't to be enough waiting staff for this area and we spent our evening repeatedly trying to get someone's attention and then being forgotten for long periods of time. It makes for an unrelaxing meal and at the prices of this restaurant I would expect a better level of service. Food was good. Nothing outstanding.
The lemongrass sea bass is amazing.
High end Thai food. Some of the best we have had
Popped in for pre-theatre dinner and had their “Banquet Menu” at £40 per head. This offered excellent value for money and show-cased high-end Thai cooking which was simply delicious.
The restaurant offers a great selection of cocktails (a big thumbs up for the Lychee Martini) and a wine list to suit all wallets. The a la Carte menu might seem expensive but given the quality of the cooking will be well worth it.
The ambience is authentically Thai and the staff are delightful.
We shall return, with a crowd, for a more leisurely dinner!
