Founder, Puneet Wadhwani, has created a never-before-seen menu bringing to life the snacks and dishes he once ate as a child growing up within a bicycle ride of New Delhi train station
From rail side snacks, such as ‘girlfriend chaat,’ cooked on the platform and handed to travellers through the windows of passing trains, to the fragrant curries, such as, ‘rare ghost,’ cooked on board.

We felt very rushed when dining overall. There no gap between our starter and main. As soon as we finished our starter, the main arrived. Probably the quickest we’ve ever eaten.
The waiting staff kept turning people away who didn’t have a booking. Was strange as most of the place was empty.
Food was okay.
I think they have gone for a fun, funky vibe and is better then some curry houses, but overall not really worth a visit.
Dear Poki, Apologies if you felt rushed this is certainly not our intention. Our food comes as when it's ready just like the street of India. We are not a traditional restaurant, our food is served freshly cooked and within minutes Most customers request a break when ordering or simply ask us to hold mains back and we are happy to accommodate. The staff kept turning customers away as we were fully booked which is why our cafe was specially opened at night to accommodate extra walk in's.
The food was tasty and there were interesting things on offer, but it was expensive for what it was.
Warm and welcoming hospitality. Food is very tasty, need refinement on the details e.g. too much raw onion and longer cooking on the lamb shank... still recommend a visit.
Nice Déco. Nice staff.
Unfortunately I really disliked the food. It didn't feel fresh, not sure about the quality of the ingredients, 2 different starters were very similar (same topping and sauce), too expensive for the quality. I would rather have smaller portion better quality. Also not enough vegetarian options, some dishes were tricky to eat because of the type of plate used. Guideline to ordering needs to be reconsidered as starters are too big so a lot of food was leftover.
But hey that's just my opinion, other people seem to enjoy the food!
I have eaten here several time’s now and loved it every single time. Delicious unusual Indian food served in a great venue. I LOVE IT. A fantastic attribute to our area.... I’ll be back!!! (Again!!)
I really like what they’re trying to do and the staff are very nice and helpful, but the menu is too busy and not particularly easy to fathom, so needs a bit of a rethink in terms of format and layout. The food is always very tasty but never particularly hot (temperature wise). The lamb curry can be a bit grissley and they’ve changed the chicken curry to thigh bone, so not as nice or easy to eat.
It reminds me a bit of masala zone - started out great back in the day but over time became too expensive and too restaurant-like in order to compete and remain profitable.
For these reasons I give it three stars overall as I don’t feel it gives that good value for money compared to a regular takeaway.
Amazing stand-out Indian restaurant with high quality food, perfect service (you can ring a bell when you need the waiter/waitress) and a nice background story to it. Celebrated my birthday here and would definitely recommend!
We have been to Patri about 6 times and have always been really impressed. We have recommended it to lots of people and we have taken different groups of friends. My one small complaint is that the two curries we ordered had a very small amount of meat and lots of sauce. This is not usual and was a bit disappointing.
One of my favourite restaurants in London. The food is out of this world!
Totally amazing as always!!
Really nice food and a good lively ambience, the only downside for me is that some of the genuine street food they used to do has fallen off the menu and its a little more generic now.
Best place I have eaten in for a while ! Everything we ordered was a feast for the eyes & tastebuds.
The menu was really interesting - full of things I had never had before despite living in London. A great selection of vegetarian & vegan.
Service was friendly & attentive. Very well informed & passionate about the food.
Really looking forward to coming again.
Wonderful atmosphere with amazing food. I took a friend for dinner and she was completely bowled over. The food here is utterly delicious and can compare to eating at my mum's house ( yes I am Indian!) . The food is authentic tasting and the staff know about the food and can guide you if you are not sure what to eat. Of you want food that tastes like your local curry house don't go to Patri. If you want to eat tasty Indian food that is cooked in the authentic way with fabulous ingredients then definitely go to Patri...
Fantastic Resturant and food really nice food. shame the Malbec red wine ran out. We have been here before and it’s better than the last time and the menu has just been revised.
Fabulous food and service as always
But the acoustics are not great. So noisy I’m afraid
Very friendly and accommodating staff.
The food is lovely and different.
Great experience. The excellent was amazing - staff went to their other store to get our kids ice cream. Food was brilliantly recommended and service was phenomenal. Excited to again and try more things from the menu
Such a hidden treasure, food is simply amazing and the service is so friendly and attentive. If you haven’t been, you need to.!
Nice little place for good Indian food in the area!
Small cosy restaurant. Shame that on a Friday there was a 1.5hr turn around time. Would have tried a few more dishes if time. Will just have to go back!
Food was really good especially the starters we had. The mains area a bit pricy esp when one of our favourite restaurants is Dishoom but I did thoroughly enjoy the lal maas (plenty of very tender lamb), so happy to have my second helping tonight as leftovers! Nice local restaurant.
Awesome food different unique and sooo tasty will be back
Enjoyed a delicious dinner. Service was good and definitely recommend the chaats and butter chicken curry. Halal which made it delight. Mocktail available
Overpriced curry house repackaged as streetfood specialist. Was called by the manager an hour before dinner to confirm arrival and that the table was for only 1.5 hours. How privileged I felt to sit amongst the chattering classes sticking another £5 firebomb down my throat, imagining my life in the squalor and mess of Dehli railway station or as a tourist misdirected by ticket touts. Don't come here if you want a real experience of India, as the toilet is clean enough to eat your poppadom off.
The food continues to speak for itself, very flavourful and fresh. If you haven't tried its delicious, give it a go. Would be nice to see a special lunch time menu.
Love the food, but thought the wine per glass was very expensive
Yes definitely. Well themed, and excellent food, served swiftly. (Perfect on a school night)
The food, the service, all excellent. The over loud music, combined with everyone else shouting to be heard over it, made conversation difficult. I go to a restaurant to eat and talk. I’ll go to a disco or concert for the music. Please turn it down. I bet no one will ever ask you to turn the music volume up!
A very good evening. The food was original and very different from the usual Indian offerings! Really worth a visit. Service excellent.
One of the best curries we’ve had in a long time and potentially ever! Vibrant menu and excellent service
Puneet, the manager, got us a table for our family on a busy Saturday night. The kids loved their meal and we sipped G&Ts and had some delicious starters and then their famous butter chicken and biryanis for mains.
Really enjoyed the evening. Impeccable service and delicious food. All ended with some flavoursome mango kulfi.
Thanks for accommodating us Puneet in such short notice. We will be surely back.
Great food and buzzing atmosphere.
Great food good service nice spot reasonable bill. What more can you ask for on a Thursday night?
Lovely vegetarian options. Would go back again.
Should change the music thou! A bit to cheesy 80s for my liking
My second visit, and definitely one to repeat again. Had my sister with me, and she has done the real thing (train travel and food in India). She loved it too.
Interesting menu, good food and friendly service. Fantastic to see real beer. We will definitely go back.
Cozy and quirky modern decor. Street food Indian concept was interesting and the food was absolutely amazing. A definite local favourite
Great service and food in a wonderfully designed restaurant. Cant recommend enough.
Fabulous Saturday lunch. Had the mini poppadoms a two curries - chicken and lamb. Both just the right amount of spice and very flavoursome. Cobra on tap too....
Visited several times and tried many different items on the interesting menu and every dish is bursting with flavour.
We appreciate your positive comments and really glad you enjoyed our chef's creations. The team enjoyed serving you and we looking forward to hosting you again soon.
