We live in Rochester and love eating at the pearl street when we come to Buffalo!
Very nice place. Convenient to downtown activities. We were in town for a Ball game.
We had made reservations the day before knowing it would be busy because of the game.
Got right in and seated. It took a bit long for the food to arrive after we ordered, but I know they were extra busy. The food was very good and reasonably priced.
We would definitely go here again.
Ordered a nacho for appetizer, never received it. Food took 45min and the nacho order someone got for their dinner, was cold. Fries with another dinner were over cooked. Server was great. Very apologetic, and had the nachos removed from our bill. Will say that usually this doesn’t happen.
Had reservations for outdoor seating but was told there was nothing available outside and were seated inside. Got tortilla chips with my tacos but no salsa or guacamole to eat them with. Ordered an appetizer that took us three times asking for it to finally get it after our meals were eaten and as we were finished and preparing to leave. We were still charged full price for the appetizer after all that. Extremely disappointed in the experience.
Best onion rings on the planet! The appetizer is large enough to share with a group. Highly recommend.
Great food and service, even on a very busy night. Only negative is the cost of the wings but they were amazing. Well done. We will be back next time we are in town.
Need more chips on the nacho appetizer, other wise food was good , could use more chicken on the Buffalo chicken pizza
Food was good. Lots of good choices and generous portions.
Reserved an outside table days in advice. We were seated inside at a small table. We asked about our reservation for an outside table and we were told it wasn’t a guarantee even though we had requested and reserved it. So why give someone a choice if it’s not going to be honored??? Disappointed.
Service was great and large portions
Of food. Enjoyed our evening!
Friendly service. Homemade chips and French fries. Busy place and can be a bit noisy. Perfect location for before sporting events meals. Good selection of beers.
The hostesses were very rude and unorganized. They did not have our reservations ready for us when we got there. We had a table reserved for 8 and they gave us a table seating only 4 people. Put together a table really quick with only 6 chairs available. Took forever to get our food and drinks ordered. Awful service in general and the staff had an attitude the entire time.
Excellent evening. Server was fabulous. Food was good as well.
My wife and I made two separate reservations for 8 people in each party, as that was the limit on guests per reservation. When we arrived they took the first six of us to a table of four and were utterly shocked when it didn’t seem to work (hmm). I told the hostess our reservation was for 8, and she seemed to be quite annoyed by this inconvenience. Immediately told me she needed to ask for permission to put two tables together. She did so, and we ended up in a very cramped space not meant for a table of 8. When the rest of our party arrived we went to check in for the second table and again my wife was treated very poorly and the staff acted annoyed and inconvenienced. Once we got our second table (with 6 chairs), our waiter made it a point to neglect us quite obviously. He would look right at our table, often making eye contact with several of our friends, and then immediately walking away as to not have to deal with us. Food was lackluster at best, and overall I was supremely disappointed as I do like Pearl Street from past visits. For party’s of 3 or 4 people, I don’t think you’d have a bad time, but for larger groups I don’t recommend it at all
I understand the difficulty in finding staff at this time, but it was a man extremely long wait for our food. We made reservations for two hits before the start of the ball game and missed the beginning. Our server was amazing and we know it was not any one persons fault. Just wish we’d known to come even earlier.
Great service, good beers, good food. A Buffalo mainstay.
Food was acceptable- had to ask twice for part of meal that wasn’t served initially
Good time though a little too much noise for our liking.
Pearl Street is a great restaurant in downtown Buffalo! Hyper-local with local brews, yummy food and a good atmosphere. Known for its pot roast, but honestly, everything is good here. Reservation highly recommended!!
Unfortunately we waited 2 hours for appetizers/ dinner and they never arrived. Our waiter was amazing but we had plans and couldn’t wait any longer. We usually love it here and made reservations for our party of 6 days in advance.
Food and drink were very good. Cordon Bleu sandwich was yummy and the Aunt Rosie's Loganberry was a very nice non-alcoholic drink.
Enjoyed the environment. Be aware a lot of nearby parking lots are pay to park. Restaurant overall enjoyed the environment and food.
Service wasn’t the greatest. We were told our apps were ready and she will grab them right after she drops stuff off. Did not return for 10 minutes. When food arrived we asked for a new ketchup bottle and another beer, ketchup did not arrive for 15 minutes by then we had grabbed one from another table. Beer never arrived. Ate my whole meal with nothing to drink by the time she came back we were ready to leave anyways so we just got the check instead.
Menu a bit reduced since it is post Covid but everything was high quality. We had a party of 8 and everyone was satisfied. Only downside was parking since the Blue Jays were playing up the street.
Service was good. Close proximity to Ballpark. Had reservations and was seated quickly. We would eat there again.
Good food and atmosphere, friendly service. We will go again
Standard food. Great atmosphere. Always great service.
I had the Reuben, it was good but a little short on Corned Beef. My wife had the Chicken Cordonblue sandwich which was good and she couldn't finish. We both drank the Trainwreck beer and it was outstanding...a non hoppy darker amber. That's a go to imho.
Fast service and great food! Reuben and chicken Cordon Bleu sandwiches were excellent!
When my team and I arrived our table was available, the service was excellent and the food was really good.
I definitely be a returning patron.
Had a reservation after the Blue Jays game, waited a good 20 minutes to get waited on, another 15 minutes to actually get our drinks, then over an hour before our food arrived, one persons chicken fingers were underdone, another’s pizza came out cold, a third’s sandwich chicken was dry. The music was so loud that you couldn’t carry on a conversation at your own table. We have been coming here before hockey games for years but thus visit was beyond disappointing, neither the server or management ever explained why the service was so so slow. Disappointing
Great venue just pretty low quality food. I actually think the fish tacos made me sick.
Our server, Mia, salvaged what could have been a terrible evening. There were issues with seating, even though we had reservations. It seemed like it took awhile for our server to come, but once Mia was assigned our table, she did a fantastic job. Food was mediocre--2 of the meals came out very late, after everyone else in our party of 10 was 1/2 finished with their meals. Love the location and the ambiance--would highly recommend for drinks, but never the food.
Worst $400.00 I’ve ever spent!! There were open tables everywhere. We had a reservation for 13 people at 5:45. We were taken to our table half set, they had to ask another party to stop eating and move to the next table over while we stood and watched. Several time food was brought to our table that was not ours. We received our cold appetizers at 6:45 and our main course at 7:45, which was also cold. When I interrupted the manger and two hostesses conversation to explain our experience he replied “well we are extremely busy”. I guess their conversation all three of them were laughing about was more important than getting paying customers food out on time. Please do yourself a favor and go spend your money elsewhere. Pearl Street, you need to do better!!!
It was great
The server seemed uninterested in really helping us. When asked what beers were on tap, instead of telling me he flipped the menu over in front of me and pointed to the 5 selections they had. It was very uninviting and I probably would not go back, especially being a visitor to the city.
The food was good, the service was not. I asked for a flight of beers and was told by our server, "we don't have the hardware available for that." What does that even mean? Then, not five minutes later, the table behind us, with the same server, had two flights delivered to their table. Our waiter didn't check back on if we wanted more drinks until AFTER we finished our food. Too late, I wanted another drink 20 minutes ago during the middle of our meal when I finished the first beer. Pearl Street is usually always the same: decent food that is overpriced, usually poor service, but a great location near the arena and ball park before a game.
First time there. Excellent food. Would definitely go back
We waited a few minutes for the patio to open and then we chose our table -- perfect location! The food was very good, fish tacos and reuben. So was the beer. Very quick service so we weren't delayed to get to the Yankees game early. Thanks!
Decent food, good staff, no wait time. Nice beers.
