It was our first time to this restaurant. Wednesday night birthday dinner for my wife. Valet is nice so no worries with parking. Beautiful ambiance and setting. Great service and outstanding food. It was a little on the loud side but not too loud. I can see how it might be worse on a weekend evening. A little pricey but well worth it. We will be back!
It was a little too noisy and we were seated behind the servers' station, but the food was excellent and the staff could not be nicer.
My wife and I had brunch on 11-20-21 and the ambience is excellent, but everything else declined once we were seated. We were seated next to a glass window, but cold appear blew down on us from the heat ducts above. Our waiter started by over filling my water glass with the excess water hitting the floor, which he never mopped up. Next he appeared irritated because I wanted to make sure our gift card from the old Cunningham's restaurant was still valid, which it was. My wife ordered the mimosa, but was very bitter & not what she was expecting. Normally, these are made with orange juice, but this was a bitter tasting juice. The menu selection was limited, but given this was a new for them I can understand. I ordered the hamburger and fries, which was excellent. However, our server never came back to see if I wanted any ketchup for my fries. We will probably try the restaurant one more time to see if this was just a bad waiter and they make other changes,
The dinner was just ok, and felt a little over priced for what we got. The doors to the outside were constantly opening and closing and considering we were sitting so close to the door I was freezing most of the night. The food was ok, but nothing to write home about. I guess I’ll give them another try in the spring / summer. Maybe the restaurant is set up for better weather. The best part of the experience was the kids working the valet. They deserve a raise.
Our friends got engaged-they were provided complimentary prosecco which was appreciated, the ambiance was loud, could barely hear the server (especially with his mask on), we were expecting a larger menu with more variety. Pricing was high for portion sizes.
The service was excellent and the food was everything I was hoping for to celebrate my wife’s special birthday.
Thanks for the excellent service❣️
Great food. Chef Jay has created a menu selection that meets every palate. His creations have made Perennial the newest place to be. Exceptional and professional service across the board.
Been wanting to try this place for a while! I really wanted to like it...For a first-time visit, it missed the mark!
I came for dinner service with a small group for a birthday on a Saturday evening. Our full party arrived at least 25 minutes ahead of our scheduled reservation. Given the fact that our party dwindled from 10 down to 6, it was somewhat strange that the restaurant seemed to barely prepare a suitable table to seat us on time.
The decor and ambiance is beautiful! It seems they're going for an upscale vibe but the level of service leaves a bit to be desired. I can handpick a few of the staff that were genuinely pleasant, engaging and hospitable. While our server was nice, I definitely didn't think she championed providing a memorable experience. Would have appreciated her being more present and engaging!
Tried the Beet Salad for appetizer, it was tasty. A good-sized portion, I would recommend sharing. The Brussels Sprouts were good as well! And the Shrimp appetizer was absolutely scrumptious! For entree, I had the Utz Crusted Sea Bass which was delicious. Though the slaw that accompanied it, I found to be lackluster. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great, for the amount that was put on the plate. It seemed like they wanted to elevate "coleslaw" but for the price point, it dragged the dish down. I think maybe a smaller portion of the slaw and a dollop of mashed potatoes or something would've been more complimentary.
Dessert, I tried an ice cream Sundae with brownie bites and chocolate syrup drizzled over it. It was just ok! Needed something more than a cherry to top it off. A raspberry drizzle, strawberries or some kind of fresh element would have been nice.
I'd give this place another try!
Perennial is a great space with beautiful terrace seating. My brunch selection was the “pancakes” as written on the menu but I only received one beautifully plated room temperature pancake. If you’re looking for a short stack of pancakes this is not the place. Unfortunately, I couldn’t finish the pancake because it’s texture was like dense undercooked dough. My server was fantastic, but the service took a turn for the worse when I offered feedback about the pancake to one of the managers. She thanked me and offered me nothing as she took the doughy single pancake away. The menu also offers “hash browns” but what I was served were cut new potatoes. They were the best I ever had, but they weren’t hash browns. What exceeded my expectations was the $36 whistle pig Manhattan. Whistle Pig will win every time.
Very enjoyable . Generous pours!
We were celebrating my sister’s birthday. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Ian and Theresa were quite accommodating and pleasant. My sister really enjoyed herself. We will definitely be back.
Such good food and ambiance
Perennial is just a magnificent restaurant. The location is perfect; the reimagining of Cunnigham's is stellar; the food was outstanding; the ambiance was perfect.
I am generally not a lobster fan, but this was the best I ever had. I can't wait to try the bread again on my next visit.
I strongly recommend Perennial to everyone!
Langley was great!
Had a blast with the FAM. Definitely going back.
Amazing food ! Great ambience !
We had a wonderful time overall!
This was our 2nd experience, and our only comment is in regards to the food. Both times, we found our selections to be rather salty. Not sure if others have voiced that same comment.
Theresa was incredible, great meeting Ian and Tomasin. Definitely be back!
Food was excellent. Exceptional atmosphere. Our service was slow and we had to wait several times for a long time to order a drink.
It was amazing! Food was delish, service was fantastic and we had a great time.
Place is gorgeous!! Food was delicious! It was so loud we could not have aconversation! There was a cold breeze above our table so we kept our coats on during dinner.
Took a long time to clear our table of the dirty dishes.
i would love to come back when we can sit outside where i hope it would be less noisy.
My new favorite restaurant. Best service in Maryland! Crab rice was amazing!!
We eat out quite a bit and find so few restaurants that really offer a great service and food that is prepared worthy enough for a meal at a restaurant. All of our food at home is prepared from scratch as we love to cook, so we are either delighted with, ambivalent to, or disappointed with the various restaurants we frequent Perennial was a completely enjoyable experience with attentive wait staff, nicely balanced food preparation, proper pace, no overpowering sauces allowing the flavors to blend and compliment, and just nice, friendly people working there. A really excellent restaurant.
The food was delicious and Lauren took very good care of us. The NY Strip and Utz Crusted Chilean Seabass were delicious. Though I much prefer halibut so hope that version comes back soon because I'm sure it would be even more amazing. We topped it off with my favorite dessert Key Lime Pie, yummy!
Lovely place, looking forward to going again and exploring more of the menu!
The food was incredible- it all came out quickly and smoothly from one course to the next. It was a quiet and cozy space and the staff was thorough! Highly recommend!
The noise was excruciatingly loud and people yelling over each other. Perennial needs to fix the acoustics. Outside is so much better than inside.
The food was so good! We were a little disappointed that they put us in what looked to be in the overflow room. Felt like we were in a banquet hall. Did not match the rest of the decor of the place. The service was ok. Cocktails and dinner exceeded expectations
Menu seemed bland - nothing unique about offerings or ingredients. Food tasty enough, but steak way overpriced for what was served. Only three dessert offerings - could been more and boring. Restaurant brought cupcake to table as a gesture towards our Happy Anniversary, which was thoughtful, but again, lacking in presentation (and not restaurant made).
The menu had recently changed to reflect fall selections. We enjoyed appetizers, salad, and mains. The wait staff was knowledgable, kind, and very attentive. Patio seating was spaced out and comfortable. There was a wonderful acoustic guitarist performing. Overall an enjoyable night and would return ASAP!
Everything about our experience was exceptional. The food is is truly remarkable, great combinations of flavors always well executed. Jay is a true master!
Excellent service. Food is fresh and delicious, but costly. There is a nice atmosphere outside, and heaters kept things comfortable.
Amazing! Would go again and again
We had to cut our visit short for a personal reason and Ian could not have been more gracious. Excellent service from start to finish. The outdoor seating, even in fall (with heaters), was lovely. We’ll be back.
I chose the restaurant because of the chef and it looked like someplace nice to eat with my two bosses that were in town. It turned out to be embarrassing and neither of them enjoyed the restaurant.
We arrived a few minutes early for our 6:45 reservation.
We were offered to sit at the bar and we did so. After it was 30 minutes after and no one had come to say anything I began to wonder. I was engaged in a conversation and finally had to check at 7:30 45 minutes after our reservation. The hostess was very apologetic but didn’t have an answer nor had the manager speak to me.
We finally decided to eat at the bar as one of our party was extremely hungry. We were then told a table was ready.
The restaurant is extremely noisy and had live entertainment that was played way too loud in the dinning room.
The service was spotty and drinks took too long to get.
They ran out of the crab soup (probably wouldn’t have if we were seated around our reservation.)The food was good however the Halibut was over cooked.
Was never offered desert and after the lights came up at 9:20 then went out and then back up. It was time to go.
I had high hopes and I eat out in Towson weekly for business. I was hoping this would have become a favorite.
Unfortunately, the beautiful decor and good food were ruined by poor service. The available wait staff was just overwhelmed with a full restaurant. Hopefully, the restaurant will be able to increase the staff to better accommodate the number of diners - or limit the number of reservations. There is a lot of potential here, and the quality of the food and lovely surroundings merit another try.
Very good food. Good service. Pretty atmosphere.
The restaurant was well-staffed, and service was excellent. Lauren was wonderful - offered recommendations for food and wine, was pleasant and attentive. Ala carte menu is pricey; substitution pricing is ridiculous, but the food was delicious and filling.
Lovely venue. Our wait person, Lillian was attentive and knowledgeable. Appetizer bread is AMAZING: raisin and fennel....YUM!
We chose crabcakes and bronzino. Both were beautifully plated and delicious.
