Peska underwent major a major change in their menu and cuisine, not sure it was for the better. Entrées on the menu are way overpriced for what's received. The "Latin Inspired" menu leaves much to be desired. Maybe it's the locations that dictates the menu prices, but it's not a good value or worthy of what's served. My fish dish had bland flavors and wasn't enough to call an entrée, it would have made a nice appetizer if it had some flavor. Not impressed! My wife's Hanger Steak was very tough and sliced into small pieces in an effort to make the meat seem less tough. Having said that, we won’t be returning. If you have a desire to visit Peska, I suggest you make it quickly, as they probably won’t be around long. However, the bar seems to be a spot for “trend chasers” so that might carry them for a while.

Came with a group of 7 for Restaurant Week. Great portion sizes - especially for the value, and particularly considering that it was 4 courses. But the service was poor - poor enough to have brought down the overall experience

Maybe it is because it was a Monday.... Everything seemed a little bit off. The food was not at the high level we have had before. Watermelon Salad tasted like they had made it a few days ago. Service was a bit slow and unengaged. I can't even say it was because they were busy. They really weren't. It was not terrible but not what you have come to expect from this high caliber place.

Peska, is a beautiful restaurant- but unfortunately the wait staff is not up to the task-- when plates are coming to the table and It hasn't even been cleared yet - for the next course there is a problem - especially when there are wait staff that could have just taken the dishes . It's like they don't understand that the overall experience- will help their wallets as well- luxury settings but severely missing the mark on service - But I must say the food and drinks were good I promised the GM I would give them one more shot and I will - hopefully they can get it together - I suggest getting the waterguys from DaMarco as your staff - they at least know great restaurant service

Tried this place for Houston Restaurants week menu. I will say that I tried to look this place up online first -- and found Peska Cocina Latina on yelp. In addition, there were printed reviews inside the restaurant for Peska Seafood Culture. Not sure why so many name changes? Food was okay. Was there primarily to try out the seafood. Large portions for fried fish for the little ones, but the cilantro rice was a bit buttery. I tried the grouper -- it was pretty decent. I thought the hanger steak was good -- but my companion thought it was "meh." Overall, a good try for HRW -- but felt like there's other seafood restaurants available during HRW with better tasting options for similar price points.

The restaurant was overall good, and here is the "BUT" , but the people whom go to this restaurant are very "snooty" and made us feel like outsiders especially the hostess he did not even look me in the eyes when talking to me. The waitress was excellent.

It was good, but not the greatest. The pasta de camarones was a bit too oily and the short rib was a little fattier than what I'd prefer. The doughnuts were great, but the carrot cake was dry. Good service & ambience. Wish they had a brunch option for Saturday.
