Our waiter Joey was exceptional, he attended to us so well giving great explations of all dishes
A real food experience, will be back again!
Great food : kind of Japanese and Mexican tapas with a very original twist. Very, very tasty. Very nice presented dishes. Very good cocktails too. Surprising deserts, very tasty too. Very nice reception when entering the restaurant. Service was spot on.
The food was great, the service wasn’t the best. When we arrived it took 20 minutes until we could order a drink and even then we had to ask and weren’t offered. I’d also say the staff weren’t very informed with regards to the menu
Food ok, but nothing to write home about. Service up and down. Had one lady serve us, then halfway through speaking to us, she walked away saying the other lady will serve us , and went to speak to another customer ! Very rude.
Music was too loud and tables far too close together.
When we asked to move to the cocktail area at the end of the meal, we were told we couldn’t,even though it was free.
A lot of money spent, for very little gain.
Not impressed at all.
Style over substance with emphasis placed on the confused theme rather than good quality cooking. Such a shame. The staff were fantastic but the food was poor, overcooked and very very spicy (and I like spicy food). So disappointed, we won't be back. Sent feedback to the restaurant after our meal, no response.
Food was amazing. Music was far too loud though. More of a bar ambience than restaurant.
Interesting menu but portion sizes too small for the price being paid
Nice venue and the staff are very attentive and helpful. But the food is very standard for what you are paying. And towards the end felt we were being rushed a bit and had the waiter come over and ask if we were finished dessert even though it wasnt finished! And it was a weekday where it wasn’t even that busy. Unfortunately I found the food disappointing for the price.
Amazing food and great service, waitress was lovely
Food is insane. best kept secret in Manchester! Strongly recommend
Booked our table for a special evening reuniting with our travel buddies from Norway to this Mexican/Japenese tapas restaurant. We were greeted immediately, friendly customer service, every detail didn’t go unnoticed, the waitress gave us some recommendations which were really good, every mouthful was delicious, the restaurant was busy which is a good sign, wine was yummy. Everything was exceptional. Would highly recommend, we spent (per couple) around £35 each including 2 glasses of wine which i thought was really good. See you soon PSK!
Had an amazing evening for my mums birthday! Gorgeous food and very well looked after!
Great tastes and outstanding service. We had a fantastic lunch and were very well looked after.
Absolutely brilliant and would recommend to everyone.
But I definitely check the bill , I was overcharged for my wine, had the call them and then email them . managed to get a refund but never had an apology , thought that was a bit rude .
Location and service are very good overall but the quality of food (even if well presented) is far from any Japanese std.
Sorry but this is not a Japanese restaurant but a bad mixture were delicacy and sophistication of Japanese cuisine is not understood nor considered. Quite disappointed...
Great tasting food and lovely attentive service. Noise level a little high due to DJ right next to table however it was Saturday night.
A fantastic meal at a stylish restaurant. Food was delicious and service was perfect. Loved the menu and cocktails. Highly recommend.
The manager and staff were superb. After a delay due to maintenance we had to delay our booking until after the theatre. We returned at 10.00pm and had beautiful food and fantastic service.
Can’t thank everyone enough..
Will be back very soon
Quality of food not good enough.
Claypot tasty and rib taco but other dishes not value for money.
If you are on a table for 2 one of you will face a white wall.
Music like a club but not too loud.
Quite smart but sparse. Tables are too close together for such a "high end" priced eatery. Food was ok but not great. Ridiculously over priced for the amount of food supplied. Not considering going again any time soon!
Having finally making it!! we loved it... what a treat, food, ambiance & service (especially Fineas). Who offered great advice & recommendations.. we will definitely be visiting again very soon, as we love good food with great vibe.. Cool music too!
Best restaurant meal this year. Had the taster menue - 6 courses each one better than the last and the first was sensational. Loads of staff, all very attentive and very stylish in their cool black outfits. Our waiter, Joey, was charming and also very knowledgable about every dish so made the experience even better. Really creative use of an historic building, with a modern island at the centre of the classical (Grade II listed?) interior. Not cheap but worth evey penny! Highlight of our aniversary weekend away.
Amazing start to finish. Absolutely delicious!! I can not wait to return here. The mix of Asian and Japanese is just perfect!
Brilliant meal. Would thoroughly recommend a visit.
A secret gem of a restaurant in the heart of Manchester, the menu is unique, delicious and exciting, I’d highly recommend it!
Fantastic food at the Peter Street Kitchen. A new experience at first, adjusting to a menu with both Japanese and Mexican influenced small plates and signature dishes. However, the concept works brilliantly and the quality of food was outstanding. Great service from the staff - very friendly and knowledgeable without being overbearing or too fussy. And a lovely fit-out - we ate at lunchtime and it felt light and airy, with an air of quality that makes this feel special. But I can also imagine soft lighting and a more dinner-like atmosphere in the evenings. I'll definitely go back. And I really like the look of the raised table for 8-12 people with the centre-table fire feature! Well done PSK - nice to see a skilful new concept for Manchester executed really well.
Love this place, will definitely be back again. Food was fantastic, amazing flavours. Great service with food (drinks a little slow) and DJ playing a set in middle of restaurant was a great vibe.
Incredible food, service impeccable! Overall an amazing experience
Japanise and Mexican!! Never!! Well I’ll tell you it was first class, no faults to find. Only one thing that it’s not a place for big appetites... unless you’ve plenty of cash ..,
A wonderful venue with great food with a taste twist
Nice venue, cool vibe, when I went it was fairly quiet. I found the food quite uninspired for the price. Tempura prawns we not the lightest tempura batter (and if you told me they were from a packet I’d believe you) but came with a nice wasabi mayonnaise, crispy Salmon salad needed a bit more work to make it interesting , tuna and truffle tacos tasted like smoked salmon on a dorito. The smoky cherry negroni was presented to me after the food arrived as there were issues with the smoke, there was so much ice in the glass the preserved orange didn’t touch the drink and it lacked the bitterness a Negroni really needs.
Not at all did this meet my expectations. I was recommended by a client at work, however felt the food and service was very poor. We raised our concerns with the staff however our comments seemed to be overlooked. I spent £150 which I did not feel comfortable in paying. The decor and bar area was great, bar staff also excellent but our dining experience was a disappointment.
Wasn’t that special for the price.
An amazing venue my wife and I chose the taster menu and enjoyed every one of the six courses my favourite was the teruyuki beef oh and the sea bass. We will be going back again soon
Gorgeous food and great service. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about all dishes. We will definitely go again
Food and service/value were excellent I would return without a doubt
Absolutely loved the food and service. Mark our waiter was super professional and gave us great recommendations
