Great vibe and the staff were excellent - striking the perfect balance of being attentive without being overbearing. Food menu threw us a little at first - we didn't know what kind of food to expect and Mexican/ Japanese is unusual - but the staff were really helpful with recommendations (as was the couple on the table next to us) and the food was outstanding. Especially loved the Japanese glazed aubergine and home-made guacamole. A little pricier than places we would normally go, but this place is in a different league, and in my opinion worth paying more for as a special treat. Can't wait to go back to try other dishes on the menu we couldn't fit in this time round.
Great food and great service, some dishes were a little poxy and were value for money, both other were absolutely fabulous and definitely outweighed anything negative
An unusual dining experience - definitely not a 'run of the mill' establishment. The food was amazing and the staff very knowledgable and friendly. The music by the resident DJ was energetic but didn't overpower. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
Contacted Peter Street with my complaints and waiting for response.
Food is different than shown online. Waiter explained the food concept is served in the middle and to share. We ordered the experience where it said no where that the price was per person and not to share. The food was way too much and when we asked for a break between courses they just continued to rush out the food straight away with no time to breathe! The bill came to twice what we had expected and we had to add on the one item we wanted that was stated to be included online.
Beautiful place and some delicious food. But the waiters and online menu needs further clarity. As it made for an embarrassing end to the meal.
Amazing quality food and service from start to finish. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys an evening of fine dining.
We had excellent service from Rafat and the food was amazing.
Service was great - our waiter Fineas gave us very good advice and recs. Food was excellent both the Japanese and Mexican and the puds. The tacos were a bit itchy - might disappoint some people. Also the electronic music was a bit loud at times like being in a rave rather than a restaurant. I liked the music but found it too intrusive. Despite this, would definitely visit again and recommend it to foodies.
Great Tapas mixer from Japanese and Mexican delicacies. Excellent service and ambience.
Keep it up !
The food was so spicy and poor, so expensive as well
Outstanding service from all staff, absolutely excellent food, and the best tequila menu I've seen in Manchester which was very exciting!
Good food and great service!
As always amazing food in a great atmosphere , love this place .
service was amazing, and the food was stunning, cocktails were yummy. really nice atmosphere, loved the dj. was made to feel welcome. would definitely come back!
Really cool environment, Joey who served us was excellent, food spot on, music progressive, really enjoyed!
Excellent service, food was of a really high quality and cocktails were outstanding . The pre-theatre set menu was great value for money. Quiet even on a Friday night if you go quite early. Would definitely visit again.
Food was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious. Staff where friendly and knowledgable, althugh the service was slow. The setting was simply stunning very quiet as it was lunch time but nice vibe.
Food is poor, menu is not 'fusion' but confusion!
Ambience and service good. But food lets it down which is a great shame.
What a lovely setting, tables not too near together and plenty room. We had a thoroughly enjoyable meal with excellent service. Will defiantly be going again in the near future and would recommend it.
Service was amazing.
Stayed for a drink after in the bar.
Great cocktail menu and lovely food
The food was quite nice with a few delicious dishes. However, two or three were rather bland. One in particular was £25 and was only ok, so certainly not good value for money. When I told some colleagues that I had gone to this restaurant, they said they felt the same - that the food was quite nice but far too expensive for what it was.
Beautifully presented food. Full of different flavors. Interesting combination of cuisines. We were early diners 5.30ish so place was very quiet. But buzz picked up as we were leaving.
My third visit and it is equally as excellent every time.
The vegetarian tasting menu is a heavenly collection of delightful little explosions of sensory pleasure. Taste, texture and satisfaction.
Very overrated restaurant. The quality of fish and meats were very poor and the dishes were very salty.
We dined on a Saturday night for our anniversary. The restaurant was very busy but I don’t see that as being an excuse for poor service. I requested a bottle of still water and had to wait 15minutes. It would have taken longer had I not sought another waiters attention.
The venue is very nice. There is a nice bar and DJ playing a set amongst the diners. Needless to say it is very noisy and our waiter struggled to hear us. Our waiter was doing his best but when my husband mentioned that we were still waiting for our water he became defensive and told us how busy it was. If a restaurant cannot cater to 20 or so full tables then don’t allow people to book!
My husband and I are used to dining at Michelin star restaurants so maybe we have spoiled ourselves and have higher standards? However if you order tuna on a flat taco I don’t think being served a couple of nachos with tuna and chives is quite what you would expect!
In summary if you are with friends and aiming more for drinks and small bites in nice venue then this is the place to be. However if you are looking to hold a conversation over dinner and want to experience tasty dishes, give this place a miss!
Great food and service. We really enjoyed our visit. Will def be back soon and will be recommending to others.
Had a nice meal Saturday evening. Tapas style plates with lots of flavour. Some were definitely overpriced. Tables very close to each other so more space would definitely be a bonus. Overall nice setting nice food and ambiance. Worth a visit and I would return
Excellent atmosphere , friendly staff and a great selection of food. We had the set lunch menu and selected the Japanese options-and what a treat: the flavours were reminiscent of my time in Japan with a modern twist. If you’re up for something a bit different yet accessible, flavourful but not out there... then I’d definitely give St. Peter’s Kitchen a try. We’d certainly return again to try the other options.
tried the taste menu.
Starters and desserts are unique and beyond the average.
Main course is just around the standard.
I believe £65 pp is expensive based on the given six courses. £50 pp will be more reasonable.
Service is good but not enough as they seems follow their scrips rather than personalised greeting.
Atmosphere is unique and surprised me.
I’ve eaten at a lot of places but, holy crap, my girlfriend and I both agreed that Peter Street Kitchen was the best meal out we’ve had in years.
Pasquale, our server, was incredible. Struggling to choose, he asked us to trust him and simply brought out hit after hit of the most incredible foods paired with the perfect Sakis.
He helped us understand what it all was and it honestly felt as though he has as much fun serving us our food as we had eating it.
The food will make you weep it’s so good, the Saki choice (I had no idea there was such variety) is amazing (and quite potent!) and - given my pet peeve is restaurants with music too loud to talk over - the DJ was not only playing banging tunes, but at a level you could chat with.
Overall, hands-down best dining experience I’ve had in years. Food and service quality easily rivals the Ritz, London in quality (although of course not in style), and way surpasses any other dining experience I’ve had in Manchester.
Go. Don’t question. Just go.
And £150 for two people to eat everything we could have wanted AND the drink?
Perfect perfect perfect special date night.
Ok sorry I got a little enthusiastic.
Fantastic food, far beyond our expectations. The service was also excellent, already can’t wait to go back.
Excellent food. Great ambience and prompt service
We visited the restaurant to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and we wanted to do something special to mark the occasion. We were not disappointed.
The food is outstanding and the service we received from everyone was fantastic, especially our waiter Rafat. He made recommendations from the menu, which were superb and nothing was too much trouble.
We would highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be going back ourselves.
The food was outstanding !
Staff were great very attentive, we even asked our waiter to just surprise us with a couple of dishes and they did not disappoint.
Great atmosphere and again the food was 5***
Absolutely amazing! Expensive but worth it. Excellent service too, not rushed. The sea bass taco was Devine.
Setting was beautiful. Fab service food great. Incant remember the young foreign possible italian or spanish waiter he was great. Wine was lovely. Was not impressed with the bar tenders service though found them to be quite rude
Food was absolutely outstanding. Highlights for me were the rib-eye beef & mezcal glazed ribs though everything was excellent.
Waiter was knowledgable and helpful. Food is brought out when it is ready. My only issue was that out last dish was brought out 20 minutes after the dish before.
Music was also a little louder than perhaps necessary, but overall this is one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in a very long time.
Great atmosphere...service was good until we finished our food but waiter went home and nobody offered coffee dessert or more drinks so poor end to my hubbies birthday meal...food was good but very small plates
Verry nice but verry expensive
It was a Tuesday evening so it was quiet . As it’s a big room there wasn’t much atmosphere on the night.
It’s very nicely decorated . The food was very good as was the service . Very knowledgeable staff.
We had a great variety of dishes and they were all delicious.
I would definitely recommend it.
Amazing service! Our waiter couldn’t have been more helpful. The birthday cake was also a nice touch
The food was amazing and the service was fantastic. We were recommended to chose 6 of the menu which was the perfect amount for me and my friend. Definitely worth a visit
