Just an awful experience and waste of money
Birthday night was excellent
The atmosphere was phenomenal and the DJ was excellent. The server wasn’t so friendly but the food made up for it.
Food is not good. Sad because it used to be.
Bussers touch food without asking if we are done with our food
Kevin was our server. He was very pleasant and attentive, also super knowledgeable about the menu which I loved. He checked on us throughout our dining experience. He was awesome. I will be back and hopefully I’ll get Kevin as my server again.
bussin fasho dem hunny walnutt prawns elite ... hehe
Loved the food, my favorite place so far and server was very good.
My waiter was amazing I forgot his name but he was Colombian it was my first time and I will definitely be coming back thank you for such a great experience
The hostess desk staff downstairs is probably the most insulting and rude clueless employees that I have ever experienced.
Food was bland and had to use the sauces to add flavor
Could not ask for a better experience. Food and ambience was great.
Food was good but the music was REALLY loud, customers were 100% bridge and tunnel. everyone looking around to see who else was there. I didn't realize I was going clubbing. I thought I was just going to dinner. But this place definitely appeals to a certain crowd.
Way too loud, good music but wayyyy too loud.
I loved the ambiance. I went for my bday for the 1st time. They didn't do anything special on the house. I had to buy a dessert. The Surf and Turf wasn't enjoyable. The drinks were good. The glazed spare ribs, bok chop, prawns and broccoli were amazing!!! The staff were very nice, polite, knowledgeable and helpful.
Love this place . Usually I go to the upper East side location but this week just as beautiful. Throughly enjoyed the ambiance and the food was super good. Highly recommend the chicken satay ❤️
Definitely a great place with an amazing ambiance.
It was great as per usual! We had such a great dinner
We had the Peking duck which was phenomenal and will be the reason for our return here next time (the beef stay was also amazing). However, we’ll be avoiding dumplings next time because we can get dumplings just as good in Chinatown for a fraction of the price.
Overall solid food, fun music, and good experience.
Our server was exceptional. Friendly and professional
Excellent service in a place with energy and class! Enjoyed our meal so much.
Music was way too loud for a 7:30pm dinner
Amazing food!! And great staff!! They sat me on time and had great recommendations
The hostesses were super accommodating when we had to add an extra person to our reservation. Our server (whose name I didn’t catch) was attentive, friendly, and prompt. The midnight mojito cocktail was very good and the Peking Duck was one of the most incredible meals any of us had ever had. Can’t have asked for a better location for our friend’s birthday. A pricey bill but worth it for the quality of the food and the service.
Not sure what’s the hype about this place, food isn’t very good, I could get the same chino food from a good chino restaurant for more then half of what I spent last night, service was excellent I will say, very friendly and attentive, food came out fast and drinks were strong and good, music was loud but this is ok... other then that the hype for the food isn’t all that..
The food was average and reminded me of regular Chinese food but in a fancier setting. Probably will not return.
We went there for Restaurant Week. Overall it was a good experience. Very attentive staff. However we were disappointed that we could not enjoy the chocolate and red velvet cake desserts as they were not available.
Good fare and value, but excessively noisy and crowded.
I usually go to the location on 60th St. This time I chose 16th St and my group was not disappointed. From beginning to end, the service was top notch. One guest uses a walker for assistance and the hostess made sure to give us an area in a smaller room to accommodate the walker with no issue. Our server Jonathan was a sweetheart! He was very pleasant, patient and attentive. The vegetable lo meain, shrimp skewers, crispy beef, special prawns, green beans in black beans sauce were all very good. One issue was that some of the food arrived not very hot and needed to be replaced which they were is a very timely manner. The other issue is that they ran out of both of the restaurant week dessert offerings which put a bit of a damper on the mood. But only for about 2 minutes 😊. The sorbets offered as substitutes were quite delicious. VERY special mention is the Midnight Mojito!! It was absolutely AMAZING!!!
Everything was great, EXCEPT - our reservation was at 5:30 and the restaurant doesn't open until 5:30. So we had to wait until 5:30 on the dot to come in. They could have let us in 5:15 and have us get drinks at the bar. It was a 90 degree + day, we're all wearing masks. By 5:30 there was a line of about 10 people waiting to get in. The waiting area was the non-air conditioned stairs.
Philippe Chow was absolutely amazing, from the staff to the customer service and the food OMG was so good and their drinks are on point. My fiancé and I went there to celebrate our 1yr anniversary and the staff was amazing. They made sure we was taken care of the whole night. Of course my fiancé did extra for me because that’s what he does to put a smile on my face. And, the staff helped him. I would highly recommend this place to anyone…
Glazed spare ribs are too salty ate one bite and told the waiter didn't like them but I was charged for them anyway
Exceptionally loud. DJ playing in a low-ceilinged space...not exactly what I was expecting for a dinner with a business colleague.
I had an amazing time at this new location the food was amazing and the servers.
The food here is phenomenal. The service is outstanding. The drinks are delicious. If you’re looking for a fun place to go with friends, definitely stop here. The atmosphere is great with music and mood lighting. I truly cannot say enough about how great the food is. Get the chicken satay!
I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant and it was extremely disappointing. I have never experienced such horrible service it took a half hour to get drinks once we sat down. We literally had to ask the waiter for the check multiple times after we told him we did not want dessert since it was taking too long.
The food and service was wonderful. We enjoyed the music
Place and vibes were great, food could be better! overall great experience
Crispy beef was 80% crisp and 20% beef, Beijing chicken was tastier. Both veggie lo mean and fried rice were ordinary and not hot enough even when reheated. Our server was friendly and helpful.
Philippe is one of my favorite restaurants, but the Restaurant Week experience was awful. The food was sub par (dry noodles, crispy beef was lumps of fried clumps) and the service lacking (had to ask to order, ask to pay our bill, server didn’t ask if we wanted a second drink). Also noticed that for a table of two the gratuity was pre added, so the poor service is understood.
