Pho & Bun
Pho & Bun is located on the popular Shaftesbury Avenue, adjacent to both London China Town and Soho, and minutes away from many West End theatres, including Queen’s theatre – home to the famous Les Misérables. Pho & Bun carries a new, out-of-the-box design that creates a cosy and comfortable dining environment with distinctively Vietnamese features.
I ordered a king prawn and chicken rice bowl expecting something vibrant and fresh like I had in Vietnam. It was monochrome and greasy. It was literally prawn, chicken and rice. Nothing to cut through the flavours.
My nephew had a burger which looked better and was happy with.
Delicious food with friendly service. Good vegetarian options too, great value. Will definitely return! Bao burgers were so tasty!
Service was ok. Not the most attentive even though nice. Ambience was ok. Felt a little cold.
Food was not good. The spring rolls were extremely oily and bland.
The mains I had, again no flavour, extremely bland and overpriced for what I had. Would not recommend and won’t be going back!
Attentive staff. Also very tasty pho!
Great food, awesome service
The food and wine was great. Calamari, summer rolls and the pork belly with rice was delicious.
Food was amazing and cocktails were absolutely delicious. Would defo be visiting again.
The food was great, and the atmosphere was really unique. We enjoyed the intimacy of the downstairs dining room. I really appreciated the variety of gluten free options that were clearly labeled on the menu.
Absolutely delicious. Definitely coming back. Great service too!
Small venue, nice starters (summer/spring rolls) and pho, good value for money.
nothing at all. Everything was good even the staff are very accommodating.
Delicious food - the pho is amazing! A very extensive range of options to choose from. Highly recommend.
Lovely Vietnamese food .. great service
Really good service and the food was delicious. I was definitely in a bit of a food coma afterwards!
Limited vegetarian/vegan choices but my food was still delicious. Good value and will definitely visit again soon
Amazing food and service. Really enjoyable evening
Great place and food
Best pho I’ve ever had!
The service was very slow and it seemed that the restaurant was under staffed.
It was also disappointing to learn that they did not have a Pho dish suitable for vegetarians as it's all made from beef stock.
Great evening and delicious food. We had the set menu
Really good food. Tables a bit cramped. Good value though.
Lovely tasty, healthy food with big portions. Service pretty slow had to ask to order and go up to the counter to pay. Food came relatively quickly though. Hard stools for seating.
Ok, probably better more authentic places to go on china town.
Gorgeous food and a cosy atmosphere.
Yes if you like Vietnamese food obviously. I think it's very tasty.
Service was quick so great if you are short of time. We went pre theatre so excellent location and value.
While the food may look delicious, it most definitely wasn’t. Felt slightly disappointed from our visit here. The food was not properly cooked, it was either dry, cold, or underseasoned. We went for a meal option they have where you could get 1 starter, 1 main and 1 dessert for £29. We thought this sounded decent so went for it. Bad idea as we realised that it was tiny portions of food that you could have gotten of the regular menu (its actual portion) for the same amount of money! Rediculous.
Staff was also very distracted and not particularly paying attention.
Would definitely not recommend. No value for money, tiny portions, mediocre service.
Great freshly cooked food. Nice casual dining. Would recommend and WILL be returning.
Delicious food in a casual setting. The service was pretty slow so we had to flag down waiting staff from time to time but it's a small place so that wasn't hard! Rather than being asked to vacate after a set time we were made to feel welcome to stay for a long time enjoying a catch up and many glasses of wine. Good fun.
If you’ve been to Vietnam and like the food you will love this restaurant
The best pho in town
Delicious food but very cramped
Plenty of seating (was able to book for group of 8 day before), affordable, quick service. Good location.
Just would have been good if they put on the aircon sooner downstairs. Also some dishes were overseasoned.
The service wasn’t great, the waitress seemed annoyed with us from the outset. Some of our party enjoyed their food but others thought it was only mediocre.
We had a soup pho as our early dinner. The food was super good but the space was too tight.
Food was variable. Pho broth and confit pork belly bad pretty good.
Crazy great grub. Grandma, Teenage son and Wifey loved it. X
Best burger ever! Great service! I would highly advise this restaurant to friends!
The set menu was good value and every course was delicious, will definitely be back to try some other dishes.
Deliciously made. Suitable for everyday dining. The ambient was nice n cozy. Good place for hanging out with friends or a quick bite.
A lovely little place conveniently located near to Soho and Piccadilly. Service was fast so would suit pre/post theatre dinner and indeed they have an offer/deal which reflects this. The food was lovely and reasonably priced. The only thing I'd say is that it is tiny so if your group is larger than 4 people you would struggle to fit. Make sure you phone ahead and book. The Bao bun with custard dessert is to die for! Likewise my starter of pork spare ribs were the most tender I've ever eaten. Highly recommended.
