Pho Cardiff is a healthy Vietnamese restaurant with loads of vegan and gluten free options. We specialise in pho, the Vietnamese noodle soup, and also serve delicious curries, rice dishes, wok-fried noodles and healthy salads, too. We also have loads of starters that are perfect for sharing with friends and family. Over a third of our menu is vegan, and nearly all of it is gluten-free, so we are a great destination for people who follow those particular diets. We are accredited by Coeliac UK. Aside from our lovely food we offer a brilliant range of healthy juices, as well as delicious wine and beer, and a fantastic cocktail menu too. Vietnamese noodle soup : phở

Phở, (pronounced fuh) is the Vietnamese national dish; an aromatic & delicious rice noodle soup served with a side plate of fresh herbs to add as you please. The addition of these herbs, & the sauces you see on the table, are an essential part of eating phở & add another dimension to the dish, tailoring it to your own personal tastes. Our broths are made in each restaurant by slowly simmering bones for a good 12 hours & it's this authentic preparation that is key to phở retaining all its goodness & developing its own distinctive tastes & aromas. We think it's the best noodle soup in the world!

In the centre of Cardiff, this is a vibrant, young oriented, venue, where the food is good, the service friendly and efficient [save for an accidental watering over me that caused great merriment] and the variety of drink and menu offerings was impressive. Definitely a place to go and see Cardiff life in its cheerful abundance. Great fun.

When we went it was fairly busy, seems like a popular place so I’d recommend booking in advance, my pho soup was descent but the crab soup that my girlfriend had was fantastic. The seafood spring rolls were a little disappointing though, just because of the portion size. Good size drinks menu and the staff were friendly. Overall, I’d recommend and would go back again. Really wish that they had an order at table from phone service, considering that the menu is digital anyway, and we were pretty indecisive on what we wanted so the waiter had to come back 3 times.

Beef Curry was amazing as always. Literally my favorite curry anywhere. Pork spring rolls were hot. Tasty and had a nice dipping sauce. The oy let down was the phohito. It was so full of. Ice there was hardly any liquid in it and was gone in 3 sips. For nearly £8 I would not have a cocktail again. Staff were super friendly and knowledgeable

Food was great but seemed a bit chaotic - our food went to the wrong table and took a while for the other diners to realise. When they returned it the staff, it was brought straight over to us to eat which didn't seem great in these covid aware times. The staff did return it to the kitchen and re-cook for us but it raised a few eyebrows in the restaurant. It seemed a bit chaotic and short staffed when we visited.

Not an exaggeration, the food was absolutely delicious and visually beautiful too. All staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful, especially our waitress Rocio. Loved it so much we're already planning our next visit.

Service was not very quick. We had to wait for a long time between ordering drinks and then having someone take our food orders. Then the food took a long time and did not come out together. Long wait until mains then, especially for customers who didnt order a starter (mains arrived 1 hour after booking started at 5:30) and noone cleared our starters so just had empty plates piled up in the centre which was unapetising. We had to go to the bar to order more drinks for our table as couldn't flag down staff to order. Staff were all absolutely lovely when there but overall a lot of waiting. Felt like more people needed on shift for Friday afternoon.

Incredible food was very impressed. Servers were helpful and very friendly. Only issue was our seating was in a bit of a tucked away spot so was a bit darker than the rest of the restaurant. Otherwise it was exceptional can’t wait to go back.

Arrived at 2.30 with my daughter, grandson & mother for Mother’s Day treat! Having read other reviews we were all looking forward to our visit & the food! All I can say is bitterly DISAPPOINTED ! My mother and I had the noodles with chicken & prawns plus a papaya salad to share! The noodles were cold and grey in appearance , the chicken was tough and the dish was just tasteless! My daughter choose beef pho, which she described as tasting like soap! Needless to say we will not be returning

Food was really high quality at quite a good price for what you get. However waited over an hour for our starters that were quite quickly followed by the mains. Staff were apologetic and lovely but to wait over an hour and 20 mins for chicken wings and spring rolls was a little long.

I was looking forward to the food as it was recommended by a friend. The meal I had was disappointingly bland and the vegetables were not really fresh. My daughter's portion was tiny. She is not a big eater but this was suitable for a 2 year old, not a 6 year old. We also had to wait for 20 minutes for the sorbet to arrive. The only time ever Asian cuisine has absolutely disappointed. So no, definitely not coming back.

Managed to get here eventually as I was replacing the things that got stolen away by the pandemic and this was one of the things that got rearranged for another time. I enjoyed their pho soup and the salad and their green tea lemonade and I will be happy to visit again in the future.

Great food and atmosphere although music a bit loud. Service was slow but could have been due to the rugby!
