About

Pho is a buzzy little restaurant on Great Titchfield Street in London's Fitzrovia, that serves fantastic street-style Vietnamese fare bursting with spicy fresh flavours. Named after a traditional Vietnamese rice noodle soup, Pho has a crisp, modern interior with vibrant orange seats and contemporary artworks, giving the place a relaxed neighbourhood café-style atmosphere. The menu is short and simple, and the food at Pho is tasty and healthy. Popular dishes include the Pho Chin rice noodle soup with roasted beef and a squeeze of lime; the lemon grass chicken served with vermicelli noodles, herbs and crushed peanuts; and the Goi Tom salad with prawns and papaya. Pho is open for evening bookings, and is a fun place to meet with friends and family.

I should know better by now; if you want a pho then Pho is the place to go. If you want a wider Vietnamese menu variety than basically pho or pho ingredients (noodles, veg and some meat) on a plate then you are best to seek a full Vietnamese restaurant. It does what it says on the tin and so should not be criticised for it, but somehow I always expect a fuller Vietnamese choice. It is fine but not noteworthy.

The booking was confirmed by OPEN TABLE. At the restaurant they had no records of it. Luckily, they had room for us. The restaurant was fine.

I can't remember a meal I enjoyed this much. Relaxed, rustic surroundings, cheery, helpful staff, incredibly tasty food and a nearly 100% gluten free menu.

The food was great, went on a tuesday night with friends for a birthday, it was a bit quiet which worked in our favour as we all arrived at different times so could comfortably have a catch up without being rushed. Good service and yummy food

When the waitress brings the dishes; she asks if you have tried this food before. She will then explain how to eat it; which make the dishes more enjoyable. You can add bits to your food, according to your personal taste. Wonderful new food experience. Would recommend highly.

One of my favourite restaurants. It's busy and can get crowded but enjoy the good and have a fruit wine, you'll soon forget everything. ;0-)

Overall good. Food was tasty. It would help if child seats were available. It was difficult to keep our 3 yr old at the table without one. There were other small children eating who were having the same issue. The ones at Stratford are very useful and family friendly. Having them would have made our experience better.

Previous visits to Pho had been enjoyable but sadly not this time. Food was good, outstanding value. We arrived at 6 and our order was taken by a friendly waitress and our starters arrived promptly. But an hour later an no sign of our mains. By this time the place was full and there were people crowding by the entrance waiting for a table. The poor staff were overwhelmed. When we finally attracted the attention of a waitress it became clear that our order had got lost. She quickly sorted the problem but by this time we'd had enough of the noise and general chaos. Pho appears to be a victim of its own success and we shall try somewhere that feels less like a busy station next time!

The food and service in Pho was great as always - its pretty good value anyway but the toptable offer makes it a real bargain. Only problem is the tables were so close together (maybe an inch apart) we could get fully involved in the conversation next to us, it's quite a bustly place so it could have been worse but a little more space would have made it better.

As with most of the chain pan-asian restaurants that are growing in popularity. It's not that they taste bad, it's just that they clearly are very un-authentic and are the equivalent of mass-market fast food. Nothing wrong with that when you're paying a cheap price like at PHO I suppose.

I am a regular at PHO and it never disappoints but we always want to try different dishes and end up full. The staff are always ready with help on the menu. The food is a reasonable price, but with the 50% toptable must be one of the best deals in London.

By far not the best pho I've ever had, not even the best in London. But I appreciate the range of veggie options, and the outstanding value with 50% off! Original price already pretty cheap at about £7 per bowl of pho, so I couldn't believe that there could be further half off! All in all, an ok cheap eat that I may go back to if I'm hungry near Oxford circus.

So much so this is my second visit in two weeks. However, they sat us downstairs on this occasion with only one waitress tending to roughly 20 diners by herself. Service was slower than expected, food not piping hot to the table but it was not the fault of waitress. Although I'd be happy to go back again, Next time I'll pick to sit back upstairs

Would have preferred the starter not to be served at the same time as the main course, particularly as the tables are small and dishes go cold. It would be nice to have an additional side vegetable dish on the menu as the morning glory wasn't available. Apart from that the food was nice.

After reading the reviews, I was expecting great food from Pho, however to my disappointment, the food is less than good.
Ordered a variety of starters including the prawn summer roll which was very average; the prawn crepe was extremely salty and not prepared authentically; while the papaya salad lacked papaya and taste.
Mains were slightly better. Pho steak has tasty and stock base was flavoured well but the lemon grass beef noodles definitely not authentic as the beef should be chargrilled and not pan fried. Again the dish was extremely salty. Between three of us, we drink 3 jugs of water due to the saltiness of the dishes.

Another issue was the beaded waiter with the hat who walked around with bad BO, very disgusting!!

So it wasn't the best Vietnamese out there with everything could have done with improvement like the blandness and one noted flavoured broth in the Pho, flavour in the grilled meat & the slightly salty nuoc nam but better than most Vietnamese out there. Everything was edible, generously portioned and to be honest with 50% off it was better than fine. On the high note, meat was tender, vegetables were fresh, nuoc nam and broth wasn't sweetened like some non authentic Vietnamese and a very convenient location. Definitely all very healthy and I would go again.

Had a lovely meal at Pho catching up with a friend. The staff were friendly and very efficient. The food was simple and delicious with a great selection to suit both veggies which was good for my friend and meat eaters which was good for me. The starters are a good size and can be shared, we had a selection of pancake rolls and prawn crackers, the meat balls served with peanut sauce were great. We both opted for the king prawn curry, fresh, with a creamy sauce and huge prawns! Will be back to try some of the other dishes.

Went for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon to Pho in Great Titchfield Street. Very busy place - even at 3 pm! This has been my second visit and would certainly go back again. This time had both a different starter (chicken spring rolls) and a different main (chicken noodles) and both meals were very good. The service is very friendly and accommodating. Can't comment on the drinks as we only had tap water.
