Piccola Cucina Enoteca - Prince St.
Very popular with local residents, business men and families, this restaurant is a little treasure that maintains the radiant spirit and simplicity that are typically italian to produce rich, characteristic dishes that evoke the traditions of Sicily.

This was the best restaurant I’ve been to in NYC. The staff is AMAZING - so welcoming and personable. They are all from Italy, so the food is extremely authentic. Highly recommend the calamari, meatballs, ravioli, etc :)
The poached squirrel eggs are life changing
Most amazing staff and food. Small, cozy spot. Made reservations for Saturday night. Place was full the whole time. Authentic food from the beef carpaccio bruschetta to the pasta dishes. Staff was amazing. Wine was great. The place has true character. Don’t miss this spot. But do make a reservation.
Food is delicious and service (particularly restaurant manager) is always outstanding.
Highly recommend the pasta a la norma!
The best Italian restaurant around. Not only is the food reasonable and truly delightful but it makes for the perfect meal!
Excellent, traditional Sicilian food with great service and atmosphere.
Would definitely recommend.
Had to wait 30 minutes past our reservation time & the space is very small could not move in or out of our table. The food was okay and service was fast once you are seated but overall would not return.
Food was delicious and service even better. Great place for dinner. You won’t go away hungry!
Food was incredible, out of this world.
I love your restaurant!!
I’m a frequent visitor at Piccola Cucina, but it was my first time at the Prince St. branch. The food was impeccable as always, but my friend and I waited for our bruschetta to come out for 40 minutes and another hour for our 2 pastas. In fact, several parties who got seated after us got their food way before us and left before us. I don’t know what happened, but I was disappointed.
Even with reservation waited half an hour for the table, then I got squeezed into a narrow corner, next was offended by a woman, who fought for some space. Finally left before ordering dinner.
What a pity. The last couple of years when I visit Piccola Cucina people there werd friendly and the food excellent. But now they destroying the atmosphere in this really nice place as they overcrowded the restaurant.
Food great!! Service good! Just a little too crowded!
Delicious food, generous portions & a warm and friendly service with a personal touch and a gift of some extra sparkling, turned a serious delay in seating a hangry group of six on a busy Saturday evening into a lovely dinner with friends. Thank you, Piccola Cucina Enoteca for a memorable evening!
Our server, Piero, was so much fun, and the meal was fantastic! Great atmosphere.
Always great food at a great value at Piccola Cuccina!
Finalmente abbiamo mangiato!!! Cibo di ottima qualità. Eccezionali le bruschette... fatte con il pane casareccio e veri pomodori.
Amazing Italian Dinner it felt like going back home!
Inexpensive for all the courses I had!
Un piccolo angolo di cucina italiana a New York .
Ambiente familiare , un elogio a Carlo e Linda , ottimi padroni di casa .
Ci tornerò volentieri .
The food is excellent! I split a pasta dish with my friend and sincerely wish I hadn't because I wanted more of it! Be aware this is a very small space, so pack your patients and make friends with your dinner neighbors ;).
Fantastic food and service in a tight little restaurant with a great vibrant atmosphere.....very good.
Sad that we didn’t get sang to for our birthdays. That was a huge reason that we picked this restaurant and we were disappointed.
I absolutely love this restaurant! Cozy yet upscale, this little place never fails to amaze me with their quality, value, and service. The main waiter (maybe the manager?) is so kind and accommodating. He made sure to make our birthday celebration special, and frequently came by to check with how satisfied we were with our food. Truly couldn't ask for a better place.
I’ve come here several times and each was a good experience except last time. We sat near the kitchen and there was constant noise from their handling dishes. We had to shout at each other was how loud it was. It was very unpleasant having to eat while a bunch of plates constantly clattering VERY loudly right beside your ears. Food was made too salty. Service was also slower than usual. Also, we got upset stomach from their beef carpaccio which we never had a problem with if the beef is fresh enough. All of this indicate inconsistent quality. Will think twice before coming back again.
Amazing food and staff!
I felt like I was eating in Italy. The sauce was delicious.
Food as always was delicious. The staff are super friendly. Seemed to be a particularly busy day though because it took us a lot longer then usual to get our food. Still, had a great time and was worth the wait.
Very noisy and the food was ok. The pictures were more beautiful than the dish itself
Ruined our 30th anniversary dinner! Worst service EVER!!!!
Firstly the place is tiny (maybe 150 sq. ft in total) which is fine, we were aware of this from reading about it online. We ended up reserving here because it was highly recommended by someone. Upon arriving, our greeter (who I believe may have been one of the owners) was very friendly and we were sat at a corner inside/outside table. The table was extremely small (maybe 18" X 18"), so small when our two appies came (and they were on small plates) both would not fit on the table, we had to transfer one appy to our side plate (again, no biggie, it's part of their ambiance).
The bottle wine selection is terrible, especially for an authentic Italian restaurant.
We each ordered a glass of wine then started with two appies, while we decided what to order for dinner. The two appies came quite quickly and were absolutely delicious! I am sure dinner would have been, had we ever seen a server again. After several attempts to get one of the two servers, in this very small restaurant's, attention, we were clearly and obviously being ignored. Yes, the place was busy, but seriously. No one checked on us for a quality check, to see if we'd like another glass of wine or for us to order our dinner (and yes we had put the menus down to indicate we were ready to order). 40 minutes went by and by then we were clearly annoyed. My husband got up and asked for our check (as clearly no one was returning to our table), then the owner came by and offered us a free dessert to make up for their forgetting about us. WHAT?? We hadn't even had our dinner yet. My husband was clearly upset and told them that they had ruined what should have been a nice 30th anniversary dinner. Too little, too late. Would absolutely not recommend this place!
Wasn’t amazing. Food was good. But took ages to sit and the space we were sat in was practically on the street. It’s not a Michelin star restaurant either, which in google
It leads to believe it is.
The value and quality of the food was great. The pasta is fresh and flavors are very good. This is a very quaint and lively place to dine. I would definitely come back again. Buon Gusto!
The chef is always on point. This is a restaurant you can depend on for a delicious Italian meal. Highly recommend making a reservation.
Food was excellent and The service was amazing. It is very good food and great place to eat and more importantly very affordable
We started with a couple hiccups but they more than made up for it.
Food was delicious.
Truly authentic in every measure - food worthy of an Italian grandmother, with excellent prices, and superb value. Cannot be beat!
My favorite redtaua
Has always been a favorite spot. This time we were a bit disappointed. Our appetizers came out separately and then our meals as well. At least 5-7 minutes of waiting for my dining partner to get her appetizer and then meal. We felt like we were eating separately. Food is always delicious so hopefully just a fluke.
We had to wait a little even with a reservation but the staff was quite apologetic. The food and service was outstanding. We had seafood and pasta. Both were delicious. We had two younger children with us and they were terrific with them. Not sure if I would bring kids there but we were visiting from out of town and had no choice. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone travelling to New York. Make reservations! Best place we ate on the trip!
