Piccola Italia Ealing
Taste good and the server was good but Guests need face mask!
Lovely, authentic food 😋 and a nice atmosphere 👌
This has to be my favourite Italian restaurant. My girlfriend and I eat here at least once a week. And Daniella is a super friendly accommodating host. Absolutely love the place.
It was delicious food, great atmosphere, slow service.
My wife & I still think this is a very good place to eat in Ealing, but were a little disappointed on our second visit . The food was not so good as on our first visit here, the restaurant was quite noisy with screaming babies, the coffee was so cold we had to ask for another cup. The staff however are always friendly & helpful.
The food and service was fantastic. They looked after us so nicely. Will go back again soon. Thank you so much.
Piccola Italia provides authentic Italian food and a traditional ambience right in the centre of Ealing. The service is fast and pleasant and the cost was typical of similar restaurants in this part of London.
Great pasta and seafood. Recommended. Cosy place and very good service!
Lovely wine and stellar service, whom out of the kitchen bring forth the finest Italian food in all of Ealing Broadway. Absolutely brilliant.
Strange things going on the night we were there possibly due to staffing issues
A secret hidden Gem in London!
Food very good Conveniently located in central Ealing Broadway.Would go again.Nicely presented.
We've been a few times and have been pleased but the last visit was a little disappointing. My stater was cold and it took awhile to replace it. The lasagne was good but too much salt. The service was slower than usual and no one offered to compensate the bill for the delay and the service charge was included on the bill even though the service was slow.
Me and my girlfriend usually love this place, but unfortunately 1.5 hours in I still hadn’t received my starter and we have finished our bottle of wine, we had waited so long we couldn’t finish our mains
The excuse given was that it’s busy when lots of tables turn up at once but that’s not a good enough excuse. We love the food and I was planning on making a large party reservation in a couple of months but now I will think twice
The food was cold. Not testy .......... same of the staff was really helpful but same they didn't know what they was doing
Food is always excellent here, and the service is always very good. It is our favourite Italian restaurant in Ealing.
Good food, interesting and enticing menu nice ambiance. Very pleasant
We went there for lunch.
Some of the food was quite good (mixed sea food grill, sea food pasta).
Some was very good (bread and olives, torta della nonna).
House white wine good
Service was poor -perhaps because only one member of staff serving.
Very good pasta and seafood dishes, friendly service, nice atmosphere. Great local restaurant.
Friendly restaurant serving amazing food. Would definitely recommend
I love this restaurant, however our last experience wasn’t up to the expectations, the food was tasteless and didn’t seem freshly made. I guess they were having a bad day!
I've hesitated before writing a review because ironically, while I had a really enjoyable evening at Piccola Italia enjoying both the atmosphere & the food, sadly I had a very unpleasant night afterwards, feeling very ill. Needless to say my companion was fine so it could have been anything but when I decided to look at the Ealing Hygiene standards site, I was shocked to see that Piccola Italia had only earned 2/5 when last inspected in July. This restaurant had been recommended to me as the best Italian in Ealing & in terms of the atmosphere & the friendly all Italian staff, I'd agree. But due to my experience I'm afraid I wont be recommending or making a return visit
Went after attending a rugby game with family
Excellent Friendly atmosphere great authentic Italian food
Fantastic friendly staff
Will go again
Absolutely lovely dinner in local neighbourhood Italian restaurant - food is usually good, but particularly nice specials prompted this review.
Unfortunately this was not a good experience at this restaurant. I booked it for a group of 8 friends to have our annual get together, having previously eaten here with my family. We only had bread and olives to start which was perfect, warm and crispy bread and good olives. The mains were not so good, I ordered the chicken wrapped in pancetta and a pumpkin sauce with mash, which was the last dish to come out after everyone else had been served. The portion was tiny, 3 bits of chicken on the plate, not wrapped in pancetta and it was hard and rubbery so I suspect it was defrosted or cooked in the microwave as they had forgotten about it. Sauce was tasteless, no seasoning at all, the mash however was good. I never send back food in a restaurant as I am not a fussy person and do not want to cause a fuss, but I could not eat what was served to me, and for £14.95 it was over priced. Other people had another chicken dish with mushrooms and a cream sauce which I opted for 2nd time around, and this was much better at least it had some flavour but that came from the sauce. The fish dishes were served with grey looking veg and only luke warm, no sauce so it was quite dry. The only really good dishes were the lasagne and pizza - I think maybe they should stick to this as they seem to do this well. The staff were helpful and friendly, although one waitress was quite surly when asked about getting some sauce for the fish. The wine was reasonable and ok for our 1 course meal. All in all not a good experience, I think for a quick bite to eat on way home, stick to the pizza and pasta, but the mains were very overpriced for the quality of the food and presentation.
Great food, friendly atmosphere, well priced menu. Happy to recommend this restaurant. Looking forward to eating there again soon.
Nice place, just a little underwhelming. My starter came out after the rest of the party had finished there's.
The pizza was nice, but the pasta looked dry.
Took my son and our extended family to Piccolo Italia on Saturday night for his birthday and we all loved it. Great Italian food and excellent staff who were cheerful welcoming and accomodating.
They set our table up with birthday decorations and served up a delicious Riccota & Pistachio birthday cake when the time was right. It was my first visit but I'll definitely be visiting again, I couldn't recommend it highly enough.
Very enjoyable. Traditional Italian restaurant. Lovely food and large portions. Excellent personable service. Very friendly. Relaxed and cosy. I would recommend this restaurant for a romantic meal.
This is good seafood restaurant. There are a lot of seafood menu.
Very nice local
Italian which Is much needed in Ealing , good service and ambience - the only
Complaint is that
The lasagne was
Smaller than our last
Visit and not as good but everything else
Really enjoyed the Piccola, food was lovely, staff was pleasant & it was a nice intermite restraunt
Our favourite place to go. Staff are wonderful and the food is good.
Avoid. The fish is not fresh - whatever they say. Noisy radio like music. Slightly surly staff.
This was our second visit. The food the first time was out of this world amazing and we could not stop raving about our experience. So naturally when we needed somewhere to celebrate we immediately thought of our new found local Italian.
Oh my god, what a difference a few weeks make. What a totally different experience this time around. It all started well with a nice bottle of Rose Prosecco and sadly went downhill very quickly.
Deciding to share a starter of Scallops and mash potato garnished with a few rocket leaves and some balsamic(ish) glaze, that turned out to be no more complex in flavour than a bowl of porridge, we were left somewhat disappointed.
Not to be put off by this as our first visit was exceptional we settled back and waiting for our mains. I decided to go for a chilli seabass, accompanied by prawns and a selection of vegetables..... where do I start? The seabass was dry over cooked and had no flavour at all. The vegetables looked like they had come straight out of a packet of Birdseye frozen veg and the prawns looked like they had come from the same frozen section of the supermarket. Given the state of the seabass, I can't comment on the veg and prawns and I didn't try it.
My girlfriend decided on a plate of Rice with ink I think; this was supposed to be accompanied by tiger prawns, Prawns, and muscles. So much rice, one tiger prawn, a few of the above mentioned frozen prawns and one or two tiny little muscles. Not even sure I could describe the tase if honest.
Given the above calamity, we asked for them to be taken away and decided against ordering anything else and paid the bill and left. To be fair to the restaurant they did only charge for the starter.
But this now leaves me with a quandary, given the chalk and cheese experiences.....
Ok food ok service nothing bad and nothing very special
Ambiance was very good, but service was very slow and when main courses delivered two out of four meals were cold and the vegetables were uncooked (not al dente which would have been acceptable)
In view of the late time factor there was no point in having meals re done. All in all a disappointing night out not up to the usual excellent standards we have had in the past.
I have been here before and it was worth a 4 star review and my wife several times. This Saturday service was exceptionally slow - over 30mins for a starter which was not worth the wait. The bruschetta was literally 2 slices of baguettes a dollop of mozzarella a a couple of pieces of tomato for the princely sum of £6.95 each - pizza express does it better! The mains were not better - sea bass well over done and hair in pizza. All in all £100 for 3 people...the only thing which was good was the Gavi de Gavi. Shall not be going back....
Family dinner on Friday night
Great meal, very relaxed. Fish courses always recommended.
I lost something at the restaurant and they couldn’t have been more helpful
