My wife and I had a wonderful New Years dinner at Piccola Trattoria. The cozy atmosphere was not only enjoyed by us, but by all our fellow diners. Our server was attentive and very helpful with menu suggestions. We feasted on Insalata di Alici (which had a wonderful balance of lemon tartness and sweetness), Stracciatella soup (wonderful presentation of torn arugula over which Sergio, the chef, ladled a lovely, light chicken and egg broth - the best I have ever had anywhere), Polpette al sugo (very large meatball in fresh tomato sauce), Paccheri (a huge serving of their justifiable famous fresh, home made pasta in cheese and sauce), and the Cannelloni (our favorite - a great blend of ingredients in a light béchamel sauce). Dessert was an amazing Lava Cake and ice cream, and coffee. We like to support local businesses, and are so happy and proud to have such a wonderful restaurant in our village. Dining at Piccola Trattoria is a truly lovely experience.

What a great surprise! This was our first time and everything was excellent, plus meeting Sergio was a real treat as he couldn't been more welcoming!

as with every review these days you must start with, piccola does a great job with all the covid 19 precautions. the staff is excellent. starting drinks were perfect and wine selection after was very good. the food is excellent. we will be coming back for sure

The best restaurant! Great pastas, great saeafood, GREAT everything! They have great wines at affordable prices, the waitstaff is attentive and friendly. You feel like family when you’re there. The chef and owner, Sergio comes out and greets every customer which adds an extra special touch. You feel welcomed the minute you walk through the door.

Amazing Osso Bucco!! Service was great and ambience was perfect. Limoncello shots at the end hit the spot. Can’t wait to go back.

I was so excited for this meal on Saturday night, and to be honest, the food was SO delicious. I chose the spot on a friend's recommendation for my husbands birthday dinner. We chose to sit inside as it was very cold outdoors, and they obliged, however throughout the entire dinner, they left the front door wide open to facilitate ease in delivering food to outdoor diners, but at the expense of our comfort inside (almost everyone kept their coats on inside and were visibly cold). The server didn't introduce himself or make any discussion at all, and it took 30 minutes before he came over to the table for the first time. I ended up pouring our wine all meal, and then he finally came over to pour an empty bottle an hour later. In the reservation, I had mentioned that it was my husband's birthday, and for dessert the server brought a cake with a candle in it and said, to quote directly, "I'm not really sure what it is for, but happy.... whatever" and walked away. Our jaws DROPPED. I wish I could say I would ever come back here but I'm still reeling from the experience of absolutely disappointing service. If you're looking for a dining experience worth celebrating, look elsewhere.

Well done! Chef came to the table to explain the menu and special dishes, he was gracious and the server was friendly and unobtrusive. The dishes were not over spiced or over sauced which allowed the quality of the ingredients to come through as they should. Dessert was spot on.

Their menu is not that big but clearly has a professional touch. The food is grate and the atmosphere is festive. Highly recommend it.

We decided to splurge on Saturday night and had a lovely dinner at Piccolo. The service was great, food was delicious and it was great to have someone else cook and do the dishes. Love supporting our local restaurants. Please tip well!

We had an amazing experience in Piccola Trattoria! Such a fabulous place!!! We loved the food and the service was so accurate! We enjoyed a delicious polenta, a great minestrone soup, a glass of beautiful Gavi white wine, veal with crispy homemade chips, a marvelous zabaglione dessert and a very Italian style espresso coffee. We discovered this place thanks to a post on Instagram and we can’t wait to go back!!! If you’re in Hudson Valley don’t miss it!

We frequent this restaurant because they make the best thing I ever ate. The pappardelle with butternut squash is fabulous. The chef/owner also comes out frequently visiting with his customers. He makes us feel valued to him.

Great meal, fun outdoor setting. Just took along time to get our food, but all in all would def return.

The eggplant started is always the best! we had the chicken scarp - i like sergio's take on using potato chips instead of roasted potatoes (although i might prefer roasted!) but the chicken, sausage was really good and the portion was huge. i'm eating it two days later!

Our favorite restaurant! We celebrated a birthday and even though we sat outside because Of the social distancing - it was amazing and the service was outstanding as well as the food. As always. Best Italian restaurant anywhere!

The Staff could not have been nicer and accommodating.

The menu is extensive but yet limited. I'm not sure if they would make anything not on the menu but I would like to know that.

The Pasta is outstanding and my Salmon was delicious.

The deserts, homemade, were outstanding and delicious as well.

All in all, I don't believe you would be disappointed in making reservations and enjoying an evening at Piccolo's.

My pasta was excellent but fellow diners with fowl or flesh were not as pleased. Appetizers excellent and well imagined. Cocktails unfortunately were not prepared by a pro. Fun outing all in all and server and owner were present and delightful.
