   Three members of our party ordered the bolognese, two portion sizes were as expected but the third was about half the size. Guessing they tried to make them all together and don’t have enough left for the third portion… also the bolognese sauce was extremely watery with barely any meat. We did enjoy the fritto misto but service was very slow and our drinks orders were forgotten about twice

   We had food from the 25th anniversary menu. Unfortunately the melon I wanted was ‘off’ but the mushroom bruschetta was lovely, as was the beef wagu lasagne I chose the foiled special dessert which looked inviting but was actually pretty disgusting- like eating a whole jar of Nutella in a choux bun. I really envied the panna cotta my friend had. The dessert wine only had one glass left so we had to share it. The service wasn’t up to its normal high standard. We’ll still enjoy eating there is future but were slightly disappointed yesterday.

   Me and my wife, celebrated 4 years together with wanting to get out of our hometown and go for a nice meal. I found this restaurant on google. Only a 15-minute walk from the train station was great for us. We don't normally go with 'fancy' places for food. So, considering it was our first time going somewhere that was 'fancy,' we were blown away. Prices I'd say were spot on. They had some expensive items but ones that we knew we would like/try for a really good price for the setting we were in. I went for a Berra Moretti, which was really good. My wife got a "Friends with Benefits" cocktail. That was amazing. We got 2 starters and a pizza to share. Then, for dessert, they had a plate with 4 different desserts, which we shared. Everything is perfectly cooked, seasoned, and tasty. And the service from staff in one word? AMAZING! From the start to the end, all were kind, quick, and positive. We tipped I think it was between £15-£20 from how refreshing it was to have that. You know when you finish your food and think, "yeah, I'm ready for the next meal," its like they knew you were thinking that, and already were on their way to you. We will definitely come back next year to celebrate 5 years together with my wife. But we may try the lunch menu. Round of applause they deserve it

   What a fab evening! We came for an early pre-concert dinner and were so pleased we’d chosen this restaurant. Staff were friendly, the atmosphere was great and more importantly the food was fantastic. Everyone was really happy with their choices (mine was pistachio crusted tuna); I honestly could not criticise it at all. Service was quick so we were able to get to the concert on time despite having had time for a lovely dinner. I will definitely go back and definitely recommend.

   It was a very pleasant experience. I was stuck in traffic and arrived late. I rang ahead to let them know and they were very accommodating for a busy Saturday night.

   The new menu is brilliant, the food was exceptional as was the service. The female member of staff who waited on our table in what is usually the private party area was outstanding, so incredibly attentive and helpful, it made the night for us. Thank you for a lovely evening, as ever, we will be back again. Highly recommended!

   To be fair it was very busy for a Monday night, but as a result the service wasn't great. Constantly chasing waitresses to order, pour our own wine, asked for parmesan and black pepper rather than be offered, and then did nor apply the OpenTable discount offered when placing the booking (the food and drink was overpriced for what it was without it). As said, I'm not sure I can blame the staff, there just wasn't enough of them and they were massively overwhelmed. But unlikely to return - for that price I expect better tbh and there is better out there for less.
