Food was delicious but took a long time to arrive. Not enough staff on - we had to ask several times for things eg to order food, order desserts, ask for drinks that hadn’t arrived (they never did but were on the bill). Lovely place and very busy just need to have more staff available at busy times

Our first ( but definitely not the last, ) visit for delayed Birthday celebrations which was enjoyed by all. Would’ve been 5*all round but over an hour from ordering to eating, although to be fair restaurant was very busy. Staff very attentive and helpful.

I know change takes time to bed in………… But the significant reduction in choices on the menu, increase in prices, portion size reduction to vegetable meal accompaniments. 2 spindly over cooked long stem broccoli & 4, 1/4” thick slices of carrot was rather poor. Extra portion of cauliflower cheese. It was definitely under cooked cauliflower. Cheese water is not a sauce. Yes it was taken off the bill. Homemade?? Obviously it was made somewhere but don’t think it was there! The Pick has been put into the generic pub chain category. Things might improve but if I’m paying those prices, I’ll pay a little more & go to the Church Green. Laila as always, providing impeccable service. It really disappoints me to write this, after all the years of frequently eating at the Pick

A great location for a village pub, a fantastic selection of drinks, from on tap beers to bottled beers through to champers by the glass. The food was great, the menu had enough selections for regular visits. The service from the bar to the restaurant was great, nothing too much trouble for the diners. An extensive seating area outside some under heated cover which is a must for the varied weather we are experiencing.

Very disappointed with the food, being our first visit since it had been refurbished & taken over by Punch Taverns. The food prices have gone up & quality has gone down. Small children’s portions, terrible fish & chips with very small fish & oven fries. Sunday lunch poor with soggy (microwaved) roast potatoes & veg & a shocking hard, small Yorkshire pudding which cost an extra £1.50. Overall extremely poor, far too expensive for what is essentially a chain pub microwave fayre & won’t be returning in hurry. Far better to go to the Manor next door where you get quality produce you pay for. Poor show Punch Taverns.

Lovely evening meal with family. Food lovely with the exception of the new potatoes done if which were hard. The lamb was delicious and service very good.

We had the Sunday roast. Not nearly as good as it used to be when the previous people ran it. Selection of vegetables that came with the roast was poor although there was more veg to choose from if you wanted to pay extra. Much more expensive than it used to be. We have been going there a number of years but will not be returning

Usually very busy, this night was very quiet and we almost had the place to ourselves. Surprised to see a change of menu, however all was good and we enjoyed the pork belly starter followed by a double burger and chicken schnitzel. The onion rings we have enjoyed in the past were sadly missing, however service was attentive and very fast, so a good night overall, we will be back.

We thought the old menu had better options and then we didn’t enjoy the food we got which was more expensive than previously
