Pictou Lodge

Food was fabulous. Service was great. Friendly and accommodating staff.

We had a wonderful time at Pictou Lodge, as we always do. The staff is professional, warm, and welcoming and so helpful when it comes to recommending food and drink. The atmosphere was wonderful, the food was amazing, and our hostess and waitress were great. We can't wait to go back next year when they are open for the season again.

I always love eating at Pictou Lodge. I take all of my visitors to enjoy this spectacular property.

Surprisingly great meal. We were not expecting the high quality. Crab cakes appetizer was as tasty as any I've eaten. Swordfish was perfectly cooked. Steak was a little tough and not rare as requested. Service was attentive. We will return.

We went for breakfast at 7am. The sunrise & ocean view was so beautiful. Our server was the best and the eggs benedict were perfect!

Another delicious meal, if you have not tried the deep fried apple pie with vanilla bean ice cream, what are you waiting for??

The server was very friendly and obliging. The food was delicious and served in excellent time, view was spectacular. We would definitely go back and recommend to others.

I love ❤️ eating at Pictou Lodge and the ambience is wonderful. Overall the food is great but I found my halibut entree was slightly overcooked so rather dry. The vegetables were cooked to perfection. Two of my friends had the salmon and they lived it.

The food was good but the price was high for the quality. The 35 dollar strip loin steak was thin with a lot of gristle it was underwhelming. My halibut was very good the waitress ddidd not ask me would l prefer rice, it would have been a better fit instead of mashed potatoes. The service was slow. Our special occasion dinner was ruined by the lack luster service, no table cloth as in the photo. The bar waiter went the extra mile and set up the deck outdoors for us to enjoy our glass of champagne. He was most pleasant. So in conclusion the service and ambience was lacking .This was not the place for a special occasion. It had the feel of summer camp dining hall and we should have had burgers and fries. It was certainly not the elegant evening out with tablecloth and fine dining as in their photo on line and in our past experience.

You can never go wrong with a trip to Pictou Lodge. Ocean views as far as the eye can see. Our waitress Amy was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Seafood chowder is think and full of fish and flavour. Lobster mac and cheese is creamy and delicious, if I had one recommendation it would be to cut back a bit on the green onion. Can't wait to return next year.

The scenery is breathtaking. The food is delicious and the staff are super sweet. We ate there three times during our two day stay. We did not want to leave. Thanks Pictou lodge!

The food at Pictou Lodge is amazing. Delicious, beautifully presented. The service is wonderful, friendly, personable And knowledgeable. We truly enjoyed every morsel.

Cesar Salad was the best I ever had. Portions were big.

Had homemade soup and biscuits very good couldhave been hotter but very tasty

We travel to pictou Lodge each year From Moncton for our anniversary. It's always a great meal and the staff are always amazing. Thank you!

As usual our stay and all meals at Pictou lodge were terrific, even when they lost power at breakfast time, they managed to give us a hot meal and hot coffee. Staff are great, friendly and very obliging. We’ll be back

Best place in Nova Scotia!! Beautiful surrounding, top notch food and service. Prices are fair and worth every penny. Menu has great choices. And with the current pandemic, I felt very safe and comfortable!!

I loved my meal (scallop risotto) but my dining partner’s food kept her up with a sore tummy.
Our service was outstanding and we went for the view anyways! :)

Had a great lunch of fish and chips ....guest had the beet salad ...all very good. Felt very good about the COVID measures being taken

Weather was not on our side but we were mis informed in the reviews for the lodge. Not as much to do. Pool was cold, boats were old horse shoe pit broke, no hiking trails. We only had breakfast and it was expensive and not great. People not very friendly. Just not a good overall experience for what we paid.

First time going to the Lodge and it was beautiful. I loved the food. Waitress was nice. Cheesecake was delicious!!

Ordered the seafood pasta and it was bland, no flavour at all. Sent it back
