Second time we've been and didn't disappoint. One of our favourite restaurants to come to, with each dish being totally different and inventive within a nicely done, modest restaurant setting.

Great evening over all. The food was good however the service wasn’t the best. One of the waitresses was quite rude and had a real sour face the whole night which made the atmosphere not the best in a small restaurant.

Wonderful food with unusual and intense flavours, attractively presented. Very friendly and helpful staff. The matched wines although pleasant were not quite up to the food apart from the dessert wine

Went for a birthday. Very good food and service. The ambience was also nice - not quite as comfy as it could been, but felt quite homely in there

A wonderful evening spent in Pidgin. From the moment you step in the atmosphere is relaxed but professional. The service, the menu, the wine list are all fantastic.

We had a fantastic dinner for my partners 30th at Pidgin. We opted for the wine pairing which complemented the dishes perfectly. The food was absolutely incredible - we couldn’t decide which dish was our favourite!

another great night at Pidgin with pretty much all the the dishes being spot on. enjoyed scallops with red currant and two delicious variations of duck. would be nice to have a few more of the lovely wines by the glass. other than that, we cannot wait to eat there again.

The food was quite inconsistent, some of the plates were really nice others were unbalanced. The waiters were lovely but the room was very loud. Overall, I probably wouldn't recommend it, the price is too high for some of the dishes to not hit the mark.

Will go back, that is certain.
Delicious food, great service.

At the end of the meal I really wanted to stand up, the full menu takes about 2:30 to go through!

It did get loud when the whole room was full and it was very intimate (as in little space :) ) maybe acoustic panels can help with the first one.

Delicious food again, it definitely made our night!

Pidgin is our go-to restaurant for celebrations. We went there on Friday for my husband's birthday, and it was outstanding. Particular highlights included: a fun pudding involving a Lamington and Anzac biscuit crumbs, which was delicious; and braised lamb with a cedrat (a citrus fruit I had never heard of). Amazing! The ambiance in Pidgin is excellent - it has a relaxed vibe (great play list, watery music playing the bathroom), which suits us perfectly. Looking forward to celebrating at Pidgin again soon!

Excellent food, but more than that an excellent experience. There's no choice on the set menu so you're in the hands of the Pidgin team from start to end. Everything is delicious plus there are added surprises. You can nibble on sourdough bread with brown butter and tempura shimeji mushrooms with XO mayo, for eg, as you decide on wine (I recommend the wine flight). I liked the way the main dish was divided into two, with the star ingredient doing double service in each dish: we hard partridge, first in as an Unami-rich rage made with ferment black beans served with udon, second as grilled breast served with a completely original Brazil nut milk flavoured with sake and with pickled pear on the side. Portions are small-is so you don't leave the table over-stuffed. All in all everything we tasty, inventive and brilliantly executed. Can't wait to eat there again.

Absolutely lives up to the hype, magnificent food under no guise of pretentiousness that smacks out of left field with flavour and finesse. Definitely worth going if you don’t have rent to pay/ have inherited some cash from a relative. I don’t think I’ll ever go back purely because I am trying to save money to buy a house one day, but I will dream of this meal for ever.

The restaurant is very very small. I was bumped into A LOT. But the staff were kind and repeatedly apologised. The food is stand-out. Every dish was inventive, balanced and beautifully presented. And very very delicious. Would say that portions could be ever so slightly bigger - I've been to lots of places with progressive tasting menus (Tredwell's, Lyles, Angelina etc) and these were definitely the smallest plates I've encountered. Cocktails were very tasty as well. The Bathroom deserves it's own special shout out - they've created this sort of thunderstorm ambient oasis out of a room the size of a broom closet. Shows what you can do with a bit of creativity! I'll be back!
