Want cutting edge fine dining at affordable prices? Pidgin's ambitious, experimental set menu in Hackney will set you straight.
Impeccable & seamless
Food was delicious, best pannacotta I have ever eaten!!!!
Service was great too, with explaining each course. Although felt a little rushed and that we couldn't hang around.
fantastic restaurant. was my my second visit. will definitely be back.
Standard of food seemed to have lowered since the last time we were there and felt overpriced for what it was. Service was great though, really attentive. And that butter they serve with bread is delicious!!
Delicious as always. Wine pairing was a bit "skinny" this time round!
Great food and service. Very nice place if a little too cosy
Fantastic place! Food was incredible! Really well planned out with timings of food and the amounts. Staff very helpful and attentive.
A really enjoyable meal, great attentive service and exciting ingredients that had been presented in a way very pleasing to the eye and tasted as good as they looked. Will definitely go back again.
Very nice meal, most excellent but the main course was pork shoulder, a cheap and fatty cut, that just wasn't very good - maybe cooked sous vid and finished, icky unrendered fat. Dessert great. Natural red wine with main course - spare me these cidery faddish abominations and give me a nice glass of red please. Charming service. Love the loo. Just shy of £100 a head.
This place came highly recommended and it didn't disappoint. Fantastic, interesting food and good value given the quality.
Small resto with great personality! Thoughtful and creative food. Unusually well balanced courses that were all unique yet contained a distinctive thread between them. Jack has a wonderful palate and has organised a distinctive wine pairing option..a must do! He has sourced purveyors with great range just like the kitchen has done. Run dont walk to this charming out of the way spot!
Our meal at Pidgin was a great way to end our holiday in the UK. The food was thought-provoking and interesting without being inaccessible. The atmosphere is warm and chic, and the service is very sleek but friendly.
Amazing food. I was surprised all times by the mix of different flavors. Definitely would come back!
Been wanting to go for a while and was not dissapointed worth the wait loved the food the venue is strange bit ok great food and drink also very good.
I really enjoyed my visit to Pidgin - in particular the excellent food. I'll be back!
Amazing food, Amazing service 10/10. Wine pairings were great.
Delicious food. Great service. Lovely cosy restaurant. Can't wait to go back.
Beautiful, creative food. I think the desserts were slightly less strong than the other courses, but the set menu is excellent value for the overall quality. The wine pairing is very generous and they let you share if you want! Love this place.
This quiet, cosy, friendly restaurant has never disappointed. The food is a carefully crafted series of course with the emphasis on subtle, thoughtful flavour and texture combinations without ever resorting to the showy or brash. Menus change every week. I wish we could go more often.
Food was very good. Service was a shambles.
Very nice food. Exciting to get a lot of lovely little surprises. The waiting staff were efficient and helpful.
Just a problem with some of the dishes and plates. They were very beautiful and it was fun to have so many shapes and sizes. Some of them were truly strange! But a bit difficult to eat from as they were very scrapey and scratchy to eat off. They main problem was that it was freezing cold in the restaurant especially for thefeet! Otherwise just a bit pricey but delicious and inventive food
Delicious as always! One of our favourite London restaurants.
The menu changes a lot so not fair to not love a place because of the food, but my immediate thought was that that there are better tasting menus in London for this money.
Superb food, individually and freshly made. Small restaurant with a cosy ambience. A real must for food lovers.
Absolute banger and lives up to the hype! We will be back for sure!
A wonderful evening with delicious food. Highly recommended
As always good service and fantastic food.
Exceptional food especially when the menu changes every week. Great service and ambience.
All round a very enjoyable experience. Great food, well presented and friendly service.
The dishes might look small but don’t be tricked: the six (or seven - lost count!) plates crafted with creative flare and stunning flavours will leave you stuffed and chuffed. The restaurant maintains a jovial casual feel, making what might be a stuffy tasting menu in other restaurants feel like a laid-back celebratory affair. Pricey, but worth it for a special occasion or reunion.
With amazing flavours and great wine pairing, this restaurant made our 10 year anniversary even more remember-able
Food was overall amazing, very happy. Only thing we weren't too keen on and I think it's not to everyone's taste but the over usage of lovage throughout both deserts. Other than that, a great night out and the cocktails were v good.
The food and staff service was beyond expectation and we had a very good dinner experiences.
The only thing we were let down was that, we marked for “birthday” occasion as it was my birthday on OpenTable apps when we booked the table. However, there was nothing specially treated for my birthday. The couple next to us had the birthday cake treated with a candle which made me a bit sad.
Food is amazing, service is a bit too casual. Décor, kitchen dining room lay-out & interior more like an old café (pronounced "caff" not "caffay"), no bad thing...
Wine list both exquisite & financially ruinous.
I`ll probably go again, when I`m a bit richer. Needs to loose the supper-club vibe though...
Great restaurant and concept! The food was amazing and great value. Service was on point and a beautiful setting :)
Was the third time I've visited this restaurant and it never fails to impress me every time! Make sure to do the menu with the wine pairings!
Had a disappointing meal at Pidgin - whilst it's not outrageously expensive, the food was generally pretty uninspiring and the space is pretty painfully squashed-in. Additionally, and this is an odd thing to point out, but the bowls and plates that Pidgin uses are all terrible - unglazed and scratchy.
This is the second time I’ve been to pidgin and it was even more amazing than the first.
Exciting, original flavours, amazing atmosphere and knowledgeable, attentive service.
Another lovely evening for 6 of us this time. Warm friendly service as ever and a delicious innovative menu, always artfully presented. The joint consensus was that the dessert wasn’t the best this time, but everything else was wonderful. The menu excites and surprises.
food was so delicious and the ambiance was lovely. but we were hurried out at the end of the meal for the next group of people coming in which ended the meal in a bit of a downer. overall lovely tho.
