I’ve visited the Piebury Corner shop close to Arsenal’s ground before and enjoyed a pre match pie. This restaurant is a more relaxed affair, still with a wide range of great pies and accompaniments for sale. The quality is excellent and it’s great value for money. Highly recommended
Fantastic food. The pies are the best and the side dishes are amazing too. Great value.
We arrived prior to our reservation, which actually worked out. The food was average. Not great, and not terrible. The mashed potatoes were average at best. I can’t say the servers were overly friendly.
Really enjoyed the visit to Piebury Corner - will definitely be back in the future!
We were looking for some “proper” food and found that Piebury Corner was just a few minutes walk from our hotel. One look at the menu and we were sold. The pies are just truly delicious, absolutely stuffed with filling. We had a steak & Guinness and a chicken, ham and leek, both with mash and gravy with a couple of sides and washed down with Thistly Cross and Old Rosie ciders. The food was perfect, just what we needed and we both left very happy. The price was excellent too. We could’ve stayed all night as the music played took us back but I think but the ciders would’ve meant we wouldn’t get home in one piece. Next time we’re down there we’ll pop in and try some other pies. 10/10.
Absolutely great food as always. Staff friendly but leave you to do your thing. Great music, food and drinks. Would 100% recommend!
It was quite a nice restaurant, the music was a bit too loud and it was quite quirky with the layout of a train carriage.
Excellent Pies close to King's Cross. What more can you ask for?
Very good pies (just a little bit small) and sides, a special mention also to the scotch eggs: tasty!
My pie was very small and overcooked. Very little filling. Extra charge for any vegetables and for gravy a bit excessive. Convenient location for Kings Cross Station but did not consider good value. Would not return.
the veggie potato and onion pies and scotch egg really good and the brownie was absolutely gorgeous 💖
Nothing wrong with the food, apart from the fact that the pies are the smallest I have ever seen, and the gravy is £2 (C'mon guys!) But the worst was the noise: dreadful 60s music played too loud; I could barely hold a conversation. Three times I asked for it to be turned down but the decrease was negligible.
It's not a nightclub I'm going to
Fab decor, fab good, fab staff and fab cocktails! Loved the Scotch pie!
We loved the food and ambience. It did get a bit too noisy around 8pm.
2nd visit already a favourite. Great pies and scotch eggs. Would be great to have bigger choice of bitter.
The restaurant was recommended to us by our daughter and we wouldn’t have any concerns recommending it to our friends.
Pleasantly surprised! Vegetarian pies were great and perfectly executed. Lovely food and accommodating to kids
Thank you for leaving a review and for your kind comments
Pie, pie pie & scotch egg
This place has a comfortable atmosphere and lots of little funny jokes all around. The service was excellent and I really felt at home and enjoyed my experience there! The food was excellent, homely comfort food from the basic pies to the more fancy variations. So many side to pick from made it difficult to choose something! They also have a good range for those who are vegetarian, vegan, gluten free etc. Overall I had a great experience and was pleased when the bill came to how cheap it was for the amazing food!
Piebury Corner Kings Cross is an informal, fun place to eat. Friendly staff serve good quality food from a small but specialised menu in an interesting space in what looks like a refurbished former cafe.
My companion and I enjoyed the Steak & Ale and Venison & Ox Cheek pies with horseradish and mustard mashed potatoes plus peas and carrots - all totally delicious. We shared one order of red wine gravy and found that sufficient as the pie fillings were extremely succulent. With Camden Pale Ale available on tap and Bloody Mary on the cocktail list, we were both happy with the drinks on offer, and there were plenty more to choose from.
We ate before people began arriving at the end of the working day and could see that Piebury Corner becomes extremely busy, so would recommend booking to avoid disappointment. We would both visit again, and were also interested to see that Piebury Corner also operates as a deli that sells take away pies to eat hot and also to heat at home.
Thank you for leaving leaving such a detailed review and your kind comments. We are pleased you enjoyed the Piebury experience meal and hope to see you again, whether its to eat in or to buy some Cold Deli Pies / Scotch Eggs or Beers. We also have another Pie Deli /Cafe on Holloway Road , N7 8DL which is open Thursday to Sunday.
Every thing was fantastic, even though we were half an hour late (tube station closed) still had a table. If there is any small criticism portions not massive for the price.
Booked on the morning and confirmed on the way up from Ruislip. Got turned away on arrival as something wrong with the drains. No drink offered or compensation voucher!
Took adavantage of the meal deal with pie, mash, gravy & a drink for £15. Food was very tasty indeed along with excellent attentive service. Would use again next time in area.
Food is good but quite expensive for size of portions.
It was our meet up dinner after travelling to London for a friends hen party. Staff are really Accommodating very friendly, the food is great and everyone was really pleased with their meals, would definitely go again perfect fun Friday night feast.
Good place, nice food
Great pies and scotch eggs, as expected. An unpretentious spot in an increasingly upmarket area. Only downside was it took a while for orders to get filled (although baking a pie takes the time it takes!).
Really liked the atmosphere and that you could book for Saturday lunch. A fun, casual venue. Loved the whisky cider. The pies were smaller than I expected but packed full of meat so were very tasty. The mash tasted good but wasn’t quite hot enough on this occasion, though overall I really enjoyed the food. I would definitely return and thought it was a fab place to meet friends.
Great place for no frills food; would say that the chips aren't great so go for mash.
Excellent alternative to the swanky expensive places around Pancras Square or Granary Square. The pies are flavoursome, the venue has plenty of style and play good tunes, though as the evening went on it became rather loud. We went on a Friday night though. The lads were out.
Really excited to go to a pie shop, there aren't enough of them around. The choices also looked really interesting.
We were a group of 5, but it took best part of 40-45 minutes for our pies to arrive. I find this amount of time to wait not really acceptable, especially for a simple dish. What also annoyed me was that other customers arrived and ordered after us but got served their food before us, that really hacked me off.
When the food came, it was nice. My Steak and Stilton pie was tasty, but there was hardly any stilton in there for it to be described as such.
My friend ordered a hot sausage roll, and despite the 40-45 minute wait, it was served stone cold.
Had so much potential and i think we some tweaks it could be something i would return to and recommend, but based on this visit, i have to say give it a miss.
Too expensive for what it is - the pies are quite small.
After a visit to the British Library, we looked for a local meal which wasn’t a chain. Only five minutes from the library, the restaurant offered good food and good service. The beer was a little too hipster for us, but nonetheless it hit the spot.
Friendly staff, good value for money & great food & local beers & fab cocktails 😊
Had a very tasty meal here, pies were delicious and mash was smooth and creamy, veg to share could have been a slightly bigger portion but have no complaints. Staff attentive and friendly and A visit to the loo is a must although taking sometime to look and read everything might mean friends wonder if you’ve fell in! Near to kings cross and other transport, free parking bit far from here so a very convenient spot.
Piebury has become my "go-to" pie place whenever I am in London. The food is delicious and the service is always on par with a side of smiles...
This is an incredible place, which we discovered by accident, while searching for a place that would be able to seat us for dinner on New Year's Eve. We found them on Open Table, made our reservation and enjoyed one of the finest meals we've ever had. The pastry on the pies was incredibly flaky and flavorful as was the filling. Make sure to get an extra portion of gravy, which I almost wanted to drink, it was so good. Our servers were two young people who attended to our every need.
This will be a place we will visit again when we next find ourselves in Soho.
Lovely place with great food and staff, would hugely recommend
Casual, comfortable and fun environment. 9 of us met for a pre Christmas celebration. It was lovely.
