My husband and I dined here for a birthday celebration. Our sever Gabriel was outstanding, charming and fun with extensive knowledge about the menu! We both had steaks and they were excellent. I took the recommendation of the coffee & ancho chili with special butter on the filet mignon and it was super good. Ambiance was laid back and though it was busy it felt spacious. One of the best restaurants in Kansas City, a true classic- and the best server in the world!

The food was very good, the menu probably could use some more diversity. We ate there on a Sunday night and it was pleasantly quiet. Unfortunately we sat at a table for two in a very busy intersection.

The only place we bother dining anymore in Kansas City. The food is consistently good and even though service had a few hiccups this go around, the hostess and manager were both so delightful, we didn't mind. Still my favorite steak I've ever had, the hubs enjoyed his cocktail and I broke my rule about eating oysters in June and found them very fresh and hopefully won't regret it later ;) If we find ourselves in KC again, we will return, of course!

Brunch at Pierpont's is always incredible! Amazing cocktails, tried & true favorites along with seasonal items, great service and an upscale vintage atmosphere. Smoked salmon crepes with arugula salad with a French 75 gin mimosa, peanut butter cake and espresso martini for dessert. The Little B*tch oyster (yes, that's really the name) was the best I've ever had. Fortunate to have Emmanuel as a server again; professional, friendly and just an overall lovely man.

It took over 30 minutes to receive our food after our order was taken. After several inquiries the manager helped us get our order filled. The food was great but it would have been nice if we were offered a pastry or appetizer while we waited especially since we mentioned that it was our anniversary.

Servers were excellent and friendly and helpful. Steak was exceptional. Brussels sprouts were not quite done enough for my taste. But good. Crème brûlée would have been better without the mint. Love the ambience. Overall, very enjoyable experience

The reason for my 3 stars was reservations were at 6. We received our appetizer crab cakes (were outstanding), bottle of wine, a little bit later got my salad. Its was 7:10 and we are wondering where our food was, noticed several tables that walked in after us already had their entree's. finally the waitress came over and said I don't know how this happen but your ticket got behind a banquet. We waited 15 minutes longer and finally got our food around 7:30. They did buy us dessert, since we were celebrating our Anniversary.

The food was outstanding! I’ll try again on a non-holiday as. the kitchen was backed up and the server was a little overwhelmed. Still a good review because you can’t beat the selection, value, and taste.

Very uncharacteristic experience. Reception was a little rude as we walked up. Bar and food service was very slow. Cocktail included an ingredient not listed, cinnamon around the rim of the cup. Had I known, I would mentioned my cinnamon allergy. Server was able to accommodate my soy allergy. As the food service was slow, we were eventually offered bread right before meal came. Server said there was no way to know what was in the bread, so not knowing the ingredients I couldn't have any. While the manager apologized to tables around us, he never stopped by the table. We got a $10 coupon for trouble. I will be back based on my previous experience, not the coupon. Happy Father's Day.

Steak and eggs brunch was served barely above room temperature. First time I recall being disappointed in Pierponts food. The service is usually sufficient and was again this time. The ambience is always nice although a little loud at times. Normally I would recommend Pierponts with the caveat that food takes a long time to arrive at the table, but if I were to go by this one experience I wouldn't recommend them at all. I'm there to eat good, freshly served food, not the ambience.

The food was the star. I had the black cod and my dinner companion had the seafood linguine. The cod was perfectly cooked, and surrounded with exquisite flavors -- pickled mushrooms, pesto, burnt ends, roasted tomatoes all combined into these amazing bites. The seafood linguine came with flash fried baby spinach that melted in your mouth. It was a birthday celebration and they treated me to the dessert of my choice. The triple chocolate mouse did not disappoint.

We decided to try the Sunday brunch and it was truly a delightful, delicious, experience. All of the couples really enjoyed our waitress Janell an just the overall ambiance it was definitely five stars for us next we will try dinner. Thanks for a great time

The waiter took the drink menus away the second we sat down. The salad was arugula, blueberries and some cheese and the grilled shrimp were so small. Never ask if wanted pepper on my salad and no one returned to ask later. Bus helps wanted to take the plate away the second my fork was put down. and had to hunt down the waiter for a coffee refill.

Wonderful setting in Union station, restaurant is superb art-deco from la belle epoque. Charming hostesses, friendly waiter and good food. A bit dark for me, but not noisy.

What a beautiful setting for fine dining! Seating is expansive so there is a degree of intimacy. My server, Emanuel, was efficient and welcoming, as was the hostess upon entering. The Caesar salad was lightly dressed (for me, that’s a plus). I ordered the lamb chops and wasn’t entirely convinced that the chocolate minute chimichuri was a good idea. The risotto cake was nothing special. However, the lamb chops themselves were perfectly done. Maybe next time I will ask for the chimichuri sauce to be held and replace with fresh lemon as the Italians do. The lavender tea crème brûlée had a pasty texture as if thickened with flour. I enjoyed the flavor but the texture wore thin about half way through. Excellent wine selection. If you like traditional steak houses with a bit of creative flair, give this place a try.

Everything about our meal was top notch! The chef nailed it with his prepared menu offerings as well as the steak Oscar.. presentation was superb and the wine list is truly extraordinary. When you add the fantastic service we received from our waiter Adam, paired with his quick wit and great sense of humor we had a perfect evening!

We celebrated a birthday Sunday evening. Service was good. Unfortunately the birthday guests lamb chops were over cooked. His meal came out well after everyone else and just packed it to go. They bright is a sampler of desserts to make up for it and that was delicious.

This was a special occasion for us. My wife and I both had the fillet Oscar style and it was the best we have ever had. Our son had the T-bone and he also stated that he had the best steak. The lobster bisque was amazing and everything about this meal was perfect.

If you really want to be transported back in time to the 1920’s, this is the place for you. Not only is the ambience incredible, the food and service is the best in Kansas City. The crab cake eggs Benedict for brunch is amazing and the Bloody Mary is the best I’ve ever had, (I’ve had a few). Ask for Meg S. (Stephanie) She lights up the room and makes you feel good just coming up to your table. If she is not a trainer, she needs to be. Service was outstanding!
