Birthday - but note to restaurant about my daughters 10th birthday dinner was ignored :-(
After being disappointed with the Westfield Ping Pong, thought we would give this a try. Most of the dim sum we had were excellent, a couple seemed to miss a bit for us, but this is probably just personal taste. Cocktails and mocktails were also well enjoyed.
Value was good at £120 ish for 4 including drinks and 4 large bottles of water. It's not quite the Ping Pong that the Bayswater one used to be before it closed, but I would go back, whereas the Westfield one I would not
Staff were all very polite and friendly
The food was good. Service so inefficient. Being right near the Palladium, it would be a good idea if they catered efficiently for pre theatre. Restaurant rather shabby too. This is the 2nd time I have visited this branch and both times had the same service problem
Unfortunately, they couldn’t find our open table reservation but found a table for us at the time booked. Food was great!
Great food, nice ambience and top-notch service. Definite recommendation!
No problems with food, but why play loud ghastly music that no one in our party wanted?
Food was amazing as usual! Service extremely slow at this branch unfortunately
Great food and such a great choice. Well served by friendly waiter. So much great food means you can easily rack up a big bill, so be aware!
I rated the ambience poor because I did not like our table. The inside table at the front is not a good place to be seated. It's like being seated in a smoking area because you get the smoke from the outside diners coming in through the front door. The most annoying thing is you get the glare from car headlights all the time as they come out from the street across. The food is good though.
We had a Xmas lunch there this week and the food was great value and the ambience and atmosphere was really good, the service was friendly and prompt
Yule party order set menus, we thought to be easy, then complete farce ensued...incomplete ordered arrived then mislabeled orders resulted in veggies being given meat order. Then staggered meal 2 from first batch, 6 from second then final order after first batch finished. Thankfully, we did get a discount from rhe manager but suspect this may be a regular occurrence
Nice place, we liked the downstairs area best. Efficient staff and good choice on the menu. We had the set menu dim sum selection @ £19.95 which was quite filling!
Great location for the London palladium and the west end, delicious food served quickly, great attentive, friendly staff, l would highly recommend Ping Pong
Overall the restaurant has a great vibe and buzz along with cool decor.
The menu is left with you to choose and complete on a form which is really confusing when there’s a large group and each person choosing multiple dishes. It would help a lot if the waiter took the order on large bookings as this order process takes a long time passing the sheet from person to person.
The food all arrives in a jumble and it’s hard to remember which dishes belong to who,
Despite all the ordering chaos, it’s a fun place and good for a group dinner.
Excellent food, nice deco and great service... Brilliant!
Overall a lovely place with good atmosphere although we were seated next a a large group for a birthday party so it was especially loud. The Lazy Sumdays are good value for money and the cocktails were also delicious
We hadn't eaten here for years but thought we'd give it a go for a quick pre theatre dinner with friends. Lovely atmosphere, buzzy but not too noisy. It was quite difficult to get staff attention when we wanted to order, but it was really friendly service when we got it. For us, the advice to order 5 dishes meant we over ordered - 3 or maximum 4 would have been plenty for us, but I guess everyone is diffferent. Would come back as what we had was lovely, but wouldn't order so much!
Good choices for all diets and a lot of pre-prepared menus for any allergies (we had a no garlic one in our group). The food came out hot and overall was a an enjoyable experience.
Lovely attentive, friendly staff. Good food very reasonably priced.
Food was amazing! Will definitely be going again. Would recommend the Ping Pong set menus as you get to try a bit of everything.
Food was good but not a lot, definitely recommend ordering more than 2 dishes each. Cocktails were a bit pricey for what it was. Ambience was great though. The waiter staff were friendly but not attentive, few times we had to try get their attention and had to get up from the table to go get cutlery since we were waiting to get someones attention for some time
Music a bit too loud to manteinace a conversation with friends.
Amazing fresh food, lovely quiet yet busy ambiance, a great date spot or great for groups of friends. The layout is quite grand and spacious. The staff were attentive, food came quickly, food was delicious and a great variety. A definite repeat venue for plenty of different occasions.
Food is very forgetful and overall tasteless. The decor needs a make over as really dated and you can see dust all over. It didn’t help having the manager shouting out loud to the staff that tables were needed as we had finished our dinner but were still enjoying some chat.
Foor was average, nothing outstanding, we had a set menu for 2 plus various other side dishes, the only one I can say was very nice was the Cauliflower. The service was fine and friendly, it was just the bland food.
I always like the food and cocktails here. The new additions to the menu are great and we enjoyed good service.
Great dumplings! Bun eggplant options was a little disappointing compared to similar at other venues and could probably have been better with just a serving of 2 or 3 than a larger ‘make it yourself’ with not enough buns and too many fillings. Sad that one of my fav puffs were sold out the day we visited. All else great!
Quality food served quickly. At busy times it’s worth booking as there are limited tables but plenty of stools. Make sure you bring your glasses as the writing on the order slip which you use to place your order is quite small. It’s an every day dining experience as opposed to a candlelit romantic dinner type place. Will definitely go there again though.
Great tasting food, and friendly service. Would recommend for a family or friends lunch.
Wonderful food and ambiance. Superb attentive service and really good vegetarian options. Very much recommend for a great dinner option.
I use to come to Ping Pong very often 3-4years back and the menu had a lot more variety. Quality of dumplings has also gone down drastically. All the dumplings were over steamed so very soggy. I even tried another Ping Pong in St Pauls and sadly quality was barely a little bit better. Though the Venue of St Pauls is much worse where the Tables were super sticky and was just a terrible experience. Both times was basically a celebration of my birthday (1st was with Mum and today was with 2 friends). Not impressed at all and doubt I'm ever going back let alone taking anyone.
We went for Lazy Sumday and it seems like the food standards dropped.
One of the set of dim sum was drenched in water and basically soggy which we did not eat and some of our food did not come out which we noticed after we left. Funny thing is we did chase some plates and they reassured us that it would come out
The food arrived quickly and steaming hot. The food looked good and tasted amazing. We loved the decor. We were seated downstairs. Our waitress was very efficient. My only negative feedback would be that I dropped my Oyster card and when I went back to enquire, the staff were a bit short. I took matters into my own hands and found it on the bathroom floor.
Food was lovely and service okay. But I didn't like that they added 12.5% service charge on to the bill!!
Good food at reasonable price. The staff were very accommodating and made an effort to provide comfortable seating for an elderly relative which was greatly appreciated.
Had a really good meal here, introducing it to my auntie and cousin. They were thoroughly impressed! Great food, drinks, and very speedy service. We’ll be back!
Much nicer inside than out. We booked ahead based on reviews and the food lived up to our expectations - tasty and we finished everything. Really enjoyed the black prawn dim sum. Good service, sociable round tables with plenty of space.
On arrival though we almost didn't go in because the outside space looked scruffy and more like an untidy Itsu. Maybe with this improved there will be more walk-up business.
Great food with great service. Loved the place and will be back!
Food was good but the seats were uncomfortable and the staff incredibly rude.
