Food was good but the seats were uncomfortable and the staff incredibly rude.
Was ok ;) little bland
Food was great, staff were friendly however disappointed with service. I had booked a table in advance online, and I might as well not have as we still had to wait for a table to be come free. We asked the waitress for forks however that took time to arrive, as well as water top ups. It took ages to get the Bill too!
The dim sum was great, Ping Pong is like a cheaper version of Yauatcha (atmosphere and service aren't as good though). Bustling atmosphere, always busy. Service is lacking but the food keeps bringing me back!
I used to go to Ping Pong a few years ago a lot when I worked in Soho. I have to say that this time around I was a little disappointed. Our waiter was pretty unattentive. I had to go to the desk 3 times on separate occasions to order drinks/ ask to order food. The food was great when it came but the service let it down.
Good food. Slow service. Check your bill as they overcharge
Lovely food and very warm and helpful staff.
We always love eating at Ping Pong and are a regular, so far the Soho one has been the best amongst all that we have been too.
Long established restaurant and we wanted try at least once and the occasion was pre theatre dinner.
I thought dim sum and fried noodles were just terrible
Tasteless dim sum and noodles were simply awful.
Initial “welcome” and service was really surly and slow given the restaurant was practically empty and we had booked. We were also given incorrect information about the special deal. Luckily our waitress went off shift and her replacement was a charming and attentive chap. The food was high quality. Unfortunately we were charged the wrong amount (double!) but my client spotted the problem and it was rectified with apologies by the very hands on manager who was genuinely apologetic.
I’d probably return if I was in the area wanting a pre theatre meal but not with a client or for a special occasion.
Really well located place in a very busy part of London, so was great to be able to actually book a table. Food and service were great as always.
Thanks Francesco for your service! The duck rice dish is lovely. The dumplings are a bit "not quite sure" - a little light on flavour - but overall, fine. £67 for the set meal for 2 and a couple of beers.
Really great food and set meal prices. Lovely happy hour cocktails too and the staff were kind.
Brilliant food and great service. Would definitely eat here again.
The staff were great and really attentive! Would strongly recommend visiting for a special occasion or a nice meal with friends/partner.
Delicious food, a little pricey but not extortionate, quick and attentive service. Great cocktails, even better at happy hour!
Lovely range of dishes available and great cocktails - staff very friendly and good value for dishes although you end up ordering more than you need as everything is so enticing!
Food came quickly. Service was friendly and personal. Value was great not an expensive place. All round great shout for any occasion.
We've dined at various branches of Ping Pongs (although this was our first visit to the Soho branch).
The staff members are friendly. Our servers were charming and attentive. My only reservation about the service is that all of the selections of dishes were served within about 5 minutes. We only had a small table so, to make room for the next dish we had to scoff the food really quickly as our waiter had no room to put it down. In the end we had plates with unfinished dim sum piled up to make room. Why does everything get served at the same time? I noted on our booking that we had a nominal cover time of two hours but we had it all eaten within about 20 minutes. It was kinda funny in a way but I would rather have an hour or more to enjoy the food and have time to talk with my partner rather than stuff my face as quickly as possible.
Nice good value food. Great atmosphere. Out of tsingtao beer, only 1 other available in small bottles, pity as seems an easy item to have in stock.
There is now doubt that Ping PNG is not what it was and suffers from the chain syndrome where quality declines over time. However, it is good enough for what it is and a reliable option. The food is still done well and it’s a low fuss, relaxed environment.
Great value with Lazy Sunday except the vegan options were very limited. Staff good however and made the overall experience brilliant!
I had issues with the traffic so arrived 30 mins late to my booking, I tried to contact them for about 40 minutes without success, no one will pick up the phone, When we arrived to the restaurant it was empty but they wouldn´t give us a nice table. After we sit down we where rushed to pick our food within 15 minutes and their advise was to get a massive amount of food that we weren´t able to finish even we were 8 hungry people. We had problem even to get drinks.
It is not the first time I go to that restaurant, it used to be one of my favourites that is the reason why I brought my friends with me this time. but I won't repeat there again.
Nice place to eat with friends & family. Crowded but really quickly served. Just a bit noisy at rush hour.
