We really like that chain and have been a few times to the ones at Soho and Shepherds Bush, but this one at St.KDa bit disappointed with service - it was sporadic, waitress didn't bring and even ask re tap water or drinks, had to wait to pay the bill, coffee machine was broken hence no coffee.
The food is delicious, good drinks variety, great location. A bit loud, but fun.
When we were seated we had to ask for drinks. After 25 mins with no drinks our food was served. When drinks did arrive we were told that they were busy because of a large group in the restaurant. Had also ordered water which we didn’t receive.
The wait staff was lovely but the food was very average and the atmosphere quite cluttered and noisy. You do end up spending more money than you anticipate for not that much food, which is not bad but also really not outstanding or living up to its price point. Plus, the drinks were way too sweet.
We booked table for two for Friday 14.06 and we were a bit disappointed. all tables are very close to each other that you cannot to have any private conversation. We arrived 6.06pm and waiter gave us menu and briefly explain to us how that is work. Disappointed moment came after this where we have to wait around 20 min just for waiter to came over and take our order. At this point I would like to mention that they weren't busy at this time. When we asked for sweet potato fries we've been told that they are not longer available and the menu they have is old. I must say that we received two menus.
We ordered 3 dishes each but I must say we left restaurant a bit hungry.
I think the one thing that put us off is the service. I did not feel at all that I felt kind of welcome over there. My friend also told me that she felt that a waiter did not provide service as he should. Food was nice and next time I will probably have to order more dim sum but I dont think it would be next time.
In fact the best the docks and the service. Food not bad.
Excellent food and nice friendly staff
Decent food but just never seems enough
I came in for my birthday and after a rather nice meal was treated to snotty emails telling me that I’d missed my booking and that I should’ve emailed etc etc found it rather annoying
Food great either for a long meal or quick bite. Well priced and the staff are very helpful if you are not used to Dim Sum. Overall very good. Busy, fun atmosphere.
The only complaint is it is always too noisy in there; other than this the food is always perfect!
The waitress didn't know the difference between malbec and merlot. She also had no idea how to split a £70 bill, hen tried to use contactless for a payment over £30. Oh and when she was bending over the adjacent table she touched my guest with her bottom at least 3 times. It was really rather awkward.
The food was amazing and the staff really friendly.
Great place good staff and nice food
One of the waitresses spread soy sauce over my friend's sweater - she could be more careful in her actions to prevent this from happening however whilst she wasn't deliberate, all of us felt she wasn't particularly careful when collecting sauce dishes. It is more of an attitude issue rather than an ability one.
I genuinely hope the above will not re-occur in the future to other customers.
Lovely meal and great food
The food was okay but very expensive for small portions - we were all still hungry after.
Had to ask 4 times for water and it did not come until the end of our meal - service was poor
Pre Christmas lunch with my daughter and her friend before skating at the tower ice rink. Service as always very prompt and efficient which is especially important when you have a fixed time slot to eat. Very enjoyable
Food was tasty, but one member of staff (the manager I believe) was consistently rude to us.
Great food and good service
Service was quite slow, food was ok.
Great location for visiting the Tower of London in particular; right on St Katherine's dock so a lovely view over the boats. Food is good and tasty at Ping Pong with a wide selection of Chinese foods. However on the night we visited service was almost non-existent. We commented between ourselves that a number of times there was literally no servers in the customer-side of the restaurant at all. The man who served us the food from the kitchen was very polite but his colleagues seemed very absent.
This place has great food and service is good as well
Great place to go for drinks in a group. Easy dishes to share.
Food, staff, and setting were average at best.
Great food and location. Bao a bit on pricey side but totally delicious
The mystery worker/friend sitting on the table next to us who kept coming and going from the table and helping himself to water etc was extremely off putting and distracting. We couldn't wait to leave the restaurant!
Good service and food. Great selection of cocktails and teas
Had a great time!
I will just highlight two issues (1) i don't get what there play music so loud. I'd rather have no music (2) this place is not okay for people who are allergic to sesame seeds/oil as there is VERY LITTLE choice for sesame-free foods in the menu.
Too bad because the service was great and it is so close to Tower Bridge!
This was our first time in Ping Pong St. Katharine's Docks but we have tried the one in St Christopher's Place. Great atmosphere and great food as always. The lady who was serving our table was very friendly and responsive and always smiling. Congratulations to the management and staff for making us want to go again and again!
Lovely food and great service.
Surprisingly poor (bland) tasting food compared to previous PIng Pong experience. Service and views (the sun helps) were great
Ping Pong is a safe and tasty bet for dim sum. Reasonable prices and an extensive menu. Super place for lunch especially with 3 or 6 people given the dim sum mainly comes in 3s. Highly recommend.
Wonderful food, fantastic location & super service.
Options to sit inside or outside, or in the shade! Great menu, and even larger drinks menu. My only tiny complaint was that the table was too small to cater for the recommended 4-5 dishes per person! Lovely food and gorgeous place to eat in the sunshine.
Food and service was very good
Tables are very close, not great if your neighbours are speaking loudly
Located at St. Katherine's Docks, the view is nice but the food is certainly below average. We had the set meal and apart from the dim sums, everything else was barely edible.
We went to celebrate the successful deliver of a project with the whole team. We ordered several set menus and was extremely satisfied! The cocktails and teas were beautifully refreshing and service was attentive.
