Prior customer - so clearly I like the offering! The menu is more limited at the moment due to the covid situation - but still as delicious as ever. Social distancing measures are good. We had a screen on either side of our table and all staff wore masks and cleaned tables down thoroughly after use. All in all as good experience as usual .
Had a family lunch, food arrived quickly and service is good. Food is ok, the mocktails are great.
Not many options for dimsum. The portion is smaller than normal dimsum place.
Great food and drinks
Food was very nice, good service, nice and friendly. It was exactly as expected and required. We remarked how much better it was than a recent trip to Wagamamas!
Good meal but nothing special was provided although I did say it was a special occasion when booking
Was incredibly difficult to get menus. We received one for a table of 4 adults and 3 children. I had to ask another member of staff who brought one more and we then had to look on the restaurant website. And then again for kids menus and crayons. Our server was having a bad weekend and shared this info with all. She dumped food when it arrived and it was difficult to get anyone’s attention for further drinks. There are other similar popular chains literally next door to this which we now use.
We had a really delicious meal, the service was great the only complaint I’d have is that they added a service charge, we asked for it to be removed which they did immediately and we added our own tip.
Service was almost non-existent. Food was bland. More flavour from Wasabi or Wagamama. I’d heard really good things about Ping Pong but no... not what we expected
Bland food, poor selection of food, don’t waste your time
I love the Ping Pong chain but this branch I would not recommend. Service was slow a couple drinks we ordered a gin and tonic that required a cucumber, they couldn’t make it because there was no cucumbers! We ordered some ginger cake this should have been served with vanilla icecream. It was served with chocolate ice cream. We sent it back. Hate chocolate icecream. There was a Waitrose across the road.
10 pre teen boys for a birthday were treated to a meal. Ford was good. Service was excellent!
For any occasion! Best affordable dim sum
Overall the food was great but I was little disappointed that food was brought out a little slow. The service could have been better although the waiters were very polite and welcoming. When we ordered dishes, we were not advised that some dishes were not available and only found out after asking why certain dishes hadn’t arrived.
Great restaurant and great food. I will be back here again.
The food was delicious but the staff were not very friendly or interested. I think there was a manager training a new staff member the night we went and they were both friendly and great but the other staff members seemed disinterested.
Good food, was reasonable and arrived quickly. It’s a really nice place but quite noisy and busy. Quite difficult to get service as the staff were very busy
Must say we were dissatisfied with a recent visit to PingPong at Westfield.
It's the quality of food in relation to the value I am referring to. No issues with service, or other aspects of the restaurant.
Menu needs to be revisited by management and quality needs to improve.
Awful food, awful service. Avoid at all costs.
The dumplings were miserable. For a restaurant specialising in dumplings, I have to say they were bad. The pastry was thick, flavours were bland and by the time they came to the table, they were cold. The staff is in a big hurry to clear your tables. I have had better dumplings in the other Ping Pongs. This one is particularly bad.
Good selection of Asian food, well made and an all round pleasant experience
Ping Pong Westfield used to be one of our favourite restaurants but the experience on Saturday was appalling. Obviously no waiter was assigned to our table and we waited 15 mins without anybody talking to us, until I finally grabbed a waitress and asked for some water. Service was extremely slow, they forgot two of our dishes and when my son went to tell a waiter, he was completely ignored. One of the Christmas specials we ordered - chilli crab dumplings - was disgusting and we left promising we will not go back for a long, long time...
Great food and amazing service , nice atmosphere , nice drinks
The venue and location is awesome. It was a quite Thursday evening when I went with 2 mates for a dinner at Ping Pong restaurant Westfield Shepherd Bush. Good welcoming by a lady who took us at the table. We can’t say the same for the rest of the service. We were a bit disappointed, because we had to wait like 10mins before ordering any drinks and food, and we had to catch the attention of the waiters who were just walking around without paying attention to the customers. I had to call one of them, once he was nearby.
Food taste was ok, but no tasty and succulent as expected. We been to other branches and the taste of the food was much better. Waiting time to get our food and drinks was not too long. We had to wait again to pay the bill, cos the waiters were no paying attention to the customers and we had to call them to get something. They were just walking around but not looking too much at the people dining that evening, so we were a bit disappointed of the service tho. We had good experience at Ping Pong before but we can’t say the same about our last visit at the Westfield one.
Good food but the service was very poor. Manager tried his best but waiting staff not great
Great as always!
Music was way too loud, the toilets are more like a night club, plus it doesn't fit the restaurant. Really stange vibe. All rice dishes were severely overcooked. Gyoza was good though. Shame as other Ping Pongs I've visited have been great.
Not sure if understaffed as nothing was said. Had an early 6.16 pm birthday reservation and walked in just after 6 with empty place an no one at host stand. When he came up a few minutes later just asked how many. No happy birthday it ask about reservation which I added a special request and was completely ignored. Seated and he left waited 10 minuets before getting order and waited another 10 before even getting drinks. Dumplings not made well as all falling apart. At end asked for dessert and never came.
Fabulous spicey dim sum really lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch.
Food was lovely as usual but... waiting almost one hour between the starters and the mains is unacceptable - The restaurant wasn't "that" busy (few free tables). However, the Manager was friendly and offered us a discount.
I am just doing this review because it was already the 3rd time this happened.
Apart from this issue, I recommend a visit.
Fabulous lazy Sunday offer (basically all you can eat for £24.95 per person)
Fantastic fresh food, speedy service
The only downside is the tables are quite close together so you can hear everyone’s conversation
Lazy Sundays is a great deal, and the staff is very friendly and helpful
Standard Ping Pong fare, didn't get a chance to test out the cocktails though.
We normally love to go to PingPong westfield but unfortunately this time the service was shocking! All servers seemed to be in a bad mood and it took ages everytime we had to get someone’s attention. Not once did they even come ask for a drink order until we finally got someone’s attention.. Worst of all - we got a table with a pole which separated two people on our table - not something you expect when having booked in advance. Its like they tried to squeeze in as many people as possible and we ended up with the worst table! I really hope this was just a one-off bad experience!
We always go to Ping Pong Shepherd’s Bush but this time the service was absolutely terrible. No one attended to us and we had to keep shouting out. We were a party of 8 (4 adults & 4 children)
We were very disappointed as we were celebrating my daughters 7th birthday and all she wanted was to eat at Ping Pong.
Great meal at Ping Pong. We had the unlimited dim-sum, £25 ppn and it really is unlimited. We also paid a little extra (using an offer) to add prosecco to our meals which is a nice touch.
Fantastic quality, yummy food. The service was a little bit slow but all in all we had a lovely meal.
Great Lazy Sunday with our favorite Har Gau and Black Prawn dimsums!
Hope they will have our favorite “Black prawn dim-sum” next time... Telling customers that the bestselling dim-sum is not available on Lazy-Sunday is not fair...
Love ping pong will always keep coming back. The food is the best, the service is always good and I already have recommended it to friends and will continue.
Food wasn’t as good as in the past and lots of items were sold out
