Have been previously and enjoyed the food probably because of the novelty value of having this dining option in Prescot and the fact we had contributed to the crowdfunding. However on this occassion a little disappointed that the menu remained the same without the option of having any "specials" to chose from. Also found that the wine options were limited and expensive. The service was good and attentive up until we asked to settle the bill,we eventually left the cost with the bill and walked out without any thanks or further attention.Overall a little disappointed.
This was my first visit to Pinion but definitely won’t be the last. From the minute we got there the service was so excellent all of the staff were so nice and the food was amazing the fish and chips the semifreddo with honeycombe dessert was unbelievable thank you so much for a lovely night.
Excellent food and staff are so friendly and helpful I can’t wait to go again
Nice atmosphere great service and ok/good food probably wouldn't go again!
Great food with excellent staff. Would definitely go back again
This was our second visit to Pinion, whilst the service was good and the food good, we found the portions particularly small. It was also extremely noisy during our dining slot.
First visit and it was a mixed bag! My vegetarian daughter was slightly dismayed by the half of cauliflower she had for her main and would have ideally liked another choice as it really wasn't what she had expected especially when meat/fish eaters have several options. Service was attentive but it took an hour from arrival to get our starter's but after that the courses came much quicker.
We will definitely return but probably not for the set menu on Sunday.
Staff friendly and amenable. Good choice of Sunday lunch menu which was value for money.
Great atmosphere. Very enjoyable.
Our third time at Pinion and love it! Atmosphere is always friendly, relaxed and the food is first class. This time we had the shared roast duck as a main - fabulous, and profiteroles for dessert which are nothing short of heavenly. The restaurant was busy but the service was seamless, efficient and friendly. So lucky to have this place locally.
Excellent bistro, fabulous looking place, great food and fine wine. Staff are very friendly and efficient and we will be back very soon.
What a fantastic dining experience. Gorgeous food and really friendly and helpful staff. On our doorstep too so really couldn't get any better.
Been few times now and would definitely recommend!! Great food in lovely atmosphere and friendly service.
Gorgeous food and lovely staff!! 😍 will definitely be returning.
Food and service excellent highly recommended
Second visit in a week can’t fault the place the food was 10/10
Our first time in this new local restaurant and we weren’t disappointed.
The food was excellent as was the service, and the beer/wine choices were both good.
It was a Wed evening and the restaurant was quite full with a good buzzy atmosphere. Overall a good experience, and one we expect to repeat regularly.
We came on a Sunday for the Sunday lunch set menu. Couldn’t be happier with the quality of the food and the service. The gravy was a particular highlight. Delighted at the locality of the restaurant for us and will be visiting many times in the future!
Excellent Sunday dinner. Fabulous ambiance, service and food - loved it!
Food was very good, far better than anywhere near by. Beer and wine were insufficiently chilled. Service was average. Some friends wouldn’t join us because of the cost of the beer and bottles of wine. Very promising start, room for improvement
A great first visit to pinion. My wife and I joined in with the crowd finding and loved the seat in the window, the food and wine choices were fantastic and at last, somewhere amazing to eat in Prescot.
Another outstanding meal at Pinion. So happy that we now have a real quality restaurant in Prescot. I’ll be back soon!!
Thoroughly enjoyed both the meal and the setting!
Thank you for bringing this to our town!
Overall a good experience. Dined there for my Birthday, drinks a little on the expensive side. A venue like this Prescot has been crying out for &finally Pinion has arrived to fill that gap. Long may it thrive.
Pinion is absolutely outstanding for many reasons. The ease of booking a table, the customer service, the interior and seating is beautiful and the quality and quantity of food is devine.
My son had been previously been with his work colleagues, on his boss recommendation and my son returned here, for his birthday meal with me.
You cannot fault anything. Compliments to the chef, the food was amazing, fine dining , exquisite and plentiful.
The servers were polite and friendly. The speed in which the food was served was spot on, nothing was a problem, from start to finish, our experience was brillant.
We had recently dined in Marco Pierres place, which was decent, but this was even more so, truly wonderful food, and the whole visit has left us with positive, happy, food memories. It is local to us and is a little hidden gem, would highly recommend. Thank you for everything.
Fabulous evening at Pinion with the early evening menu our dining option on this occasion
3 choices of staters and mains but wish soup was a starter option. Also if there were 5 choices for mains it would encourage me to return more frequently
However back to the visit and we absolutely loved the food the service and staff are all top class.
Going again this month and booked December's visit too! Love it!
I took my Mrs for a date night we both loved it.
Staff were great food was fantastic we will be back.
Prescot has been crying out for a restaurant of this quality.
Have visited both Lunch time and evening time, cannot fault the food, even down to the children’s menu, excellent staff great value for money, well done Gary and team.
Very small portion of chicken 1/3 of a chicken breast was not enough and batter on the fish was not cooked was very disappointed.
Excellent food and quality service. Great starters, mains and desserts. Fab Sunday roast.
Lovely food. Super staff but restaurant very cold which spoilt what would have been an otherwise fab meal.
Food was delicious - portions of starters and mains on the small side for a man with healthy appetite. Good sized desserts.
First really cold night and problems with draught from doors when people were entering/leaving. Staff aware and am sure the problem will be addressed. We were offered a table upstairs.
Good food, nickel atmosphere. Good for Prescot town.
Enjoyed the food, was fine dinning which we don't have in the area which is why I would recommend. But I feel it is too expensive for the location and what it has to offer. So for this reason I would not return.
Lovely service and a lovely menu. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the food itself was really nice. I’m not a vegetarian, but the choice for vegetarians was excellent and everything we had was delicious.
Another fabulous meal in Pinion. The cod and chorizo / steak tartare was delicious and the chocolate mouse with cherries was to die for. Katy provuded excellent customer device as our table host. The restaurant also have great vegetarian and gluten free options that almost mirror the standard a la carte menu.
After contributing to the Kickstarter I have been dying to finally check out pinion. We visited on Thursday evening, food was cooked to perfection I had French onion soup hubby had pate. We both had braised beef for mains which was Devine.
Service however was another matter we were seated immediately then waited ten mins before we were asked for drinks order, I had to get up to find cutlery for the main serving (wasn’t noted by our servers that we were missing cutlery) and we were not asked if we wanted another drink once we had finished our first ones. We also had to ask repeatedly for the bill over 15min period.
However given its only recently opened and the fact I hugely believe in the concept and having a nice local place rather than having to go to Manchester or Liverpool we will return. I do hope it is just a case of teething issues and look forward to an improved experience next time as the food was top notch!
Second visit, this time for the great early doors meal. Prescot so needed this restaurant and saves us a trip into Liverpool. Staff are a great team, it was one giy’s first night and he just fitted right in and was a real asset.
Lovely little place in the middle of Prescot, exactly what the town needs! Great food, nice atmosphere and a plethora of wine options!
Second visit to Pinion after we helped crowd fund. Everything about this place say ‘please let this work!’ Great customer service, fantastic food, loads of choice of wine and beers, and a lovely chilled environment. Loved it and we have our third booking already.
Booked for wife's birthday will definately be returning
