Amazing food, fantastic service and gorgeous resturant ... highly recommended
What a great night fantastic food great atmosphere and friendly staff. Perfect for a good valentines night
We had a lovely Valentine’s Day meal at Pinion. We’ve heard so many good reviews, it came highly recommended and we were not disappointed at all. The waitresses were very pleasant and helpful and very efficient. The food was absolutely beautiful, perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned and perfectly delicious! The restaurant itself was lovely and had a lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be back. I’m so pleased that we have this lovely restaurant and all the new bars that are popping up in Prescot. It’s great to see our little town coming to life again.
The service was as usual Excellent and the waitress looked after us very well and she ensured that my Wifes meal was suitable as she is on a Gluten Free Diet.
Food was quality just so small. No side dishes available to order on valentines night and at 45 pound per person we were left disappointed and still hungry.
Highly recommend! Visited for lunch with my friend and we both absolutely loved the meal we had at Pinion. For £40 for 2 courses including 3 soft drinks it is a more expensive lunch than we would normally have, but we’ve been wanting to try for a while and as a treat/one off it was definitely worth it for the quality of the food. The food was outstanding especially the Honey glazed bacon, every aspect of it was delicious. Will be returning with my partner again so he can try and if is as good as the first visit I would imagine it would be definitely somewhere we will return to for special occasions :) Also must mention all three serving staff were all lovely too taking time to chat why serving us :)The only thing I’d say is we would probably visit more often for lunch if there was a special lunch sandwich/salad/light meal type menu as well as the set and normal menu. The set lunch menu we had is also available Wednesday and Thursday evenings between 6-7pm at only £1 extra per head so a really good deal for a mid week evening meal :) .... at the time we visited the prices were; lunch Wednesday- Saturdays 12 -2:30pm at £16 for 2 courses and £19 for 3 courses and Wednesday and Thursday 6-7pm £17 for 2 courses and £20 for 3 courses.
Good service, attentive waitress and all staff smiley and friendly. Delicious food but quite expensive. Side dishes additional to high cost. Chairs quite uncomfortable and would have preferred to sit downstairs when I realised there was a cushioned bench. Upstairs tables positioned in a linear fashion based on limited space, which reduced the atmosphere with entertainment coming from ladies struggling to open the door to the bathroom.
Went here because my wife has followed them on Facebook, we couldn’t get in at the restaurant of choice so she mentioned here, wow we had the beef ! Outstanding, a tad expensive but once we had tasted the food well worth it . We only live no more then 4 miles away and I had never heard of it , do I pass it on or keep it to myself ??????
disappointed with the accompanying vegetables, small portions arriving lukewarm.
Lovely staff, friendly and helpful. Really made special effort with our daughters aged 9 and 7, letting them complete the orders and pretend they were waitresses and chatting to them. The kids portions were good quality and a good sized portion. Ambience is lovely. Would definitely recommend.
I had high hopes and booked Pinion for my son's birthday. We were not disappointed. The staff are lovely and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We had a variety of food, vegan, vegetarian and meat. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. I would highly recommend you give this place a try. Prescot is very lucky.
Delicious food and good service. We had the set lunch menu and it was great value. Look forward to a return visit and trying the a la carte menu.
Once again a delicious Sunday lunch. Lovely celeriac and croquette starters. Fab roast beef dinners. Creme brûlée was gorgeous. Only minor complaint was tiramisu wasn’t quite coffee flavoured enough. Staff, service, ambience all excellent
Never been before was literally blown away all the food was delicious I loved the mushroom soup and beef and chicken were both superb. Will definitely be coming back and recommend to friends and family. The staff where lovely and so helpful really happy to have such friendly service.
Excellent food, very friendly helpful staff, couldn’t fault it.
We’ve eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. It’s great too be able to go to such a good restaurant without going into the city.
We keep going back to this place, so it must be good. Food is always fabulous and interesting, and always provokes conversation. No doubt we will be back again.
Over priced, chicken was raw, not good experience. Lighting was to dim.
I have already emailed explaining why I wasn’t happy. And got response so further adding to the bad customer service!
Sat upstairs for the first time. Roomy and light. Great staff. Excellent waitress - just the right fussiness.
Loved the food. Prawns and pig’s head started selected. All 4 dishes excellent. Bacon, beef and pork chosen by 4 of us for mains. All very good though pork would babe benefitted with a vegetable. Son drooled over bacon. Excellent well priced Languedoc red. Where can I get it?
Sadly too full for the desserts.
Family love the place.
Overall, excellent. The service was amazing.
However we couldn’t hear what anyone was saying because of one table and the antics of their children. Perhaps when a table makes so much noise someone could step in.
When they left the ambience was so much better and the members our party could hear each other.
We went as we had a voucher and had heard really good things. Food was delicious and staff very friendly and accommodating. The wait between courses was a little long. I was noisy but then it was full - lots of kids running about though - but wot definitely come again .
Great Food. Staff welcoming and attentive. Good atmosphere.
What a find! Really lovely food. We all had something different for starters and for main and all delicious. So good, we've booked to go again!
Very enjoyable evening with friends made great by good food and drink!
Overall a good dining experience, spoilt slightly by the cold vegetable dishes. However service excellent and menu well considered.
Visit with partner as I had a voucher. Not really impressed with starters. I had the black pudding scotch egg which I didn’t like as the texture was too soft but that’s just personal preference.
Sticky braised beef was gorgeous and so were the truffle chips 😍. Desserts lovely, we had the honeycomb ice cream and the rice pudding.
Staff were great, sorry we didn’t get her name but Irish waitress was helpful and really friendly. Manager was also welcoming and friendly.
Beautiful courses, served in a timely manner with good knowledge of the wine menu. We had a voucher which helped with the cost, but I think without this it would have been quite expensive for a mid-week treat. Perhaps some mid-week offers / set menus could work to warrant spending during the week.
However, will definitely be revisiting, but maybe for a more special occasion in future.
A great evening with lovely food, great atmosphere and surroundings. Service could have been a little better but didn’t spoil our night.
Food was okay, overpriced for the smallest piece of fish possible. Parking is not great
Friendly service, food is absolutely delicious and priced well for the quality
We had Wednesday evening dinner on the early menu. The vibe in Pinion is relaxed and friendly and the staff are excellent, well informed and can’t do enough for you. The food is delicious, particularly the creme brûlée .....amazing! Enjoyed every minute and can’t wait to go back.
The excellence of the food was marred by the exceptionally slow service from the kitchen & the very inattentive service from the waiting on staff. We have dined many times at the sister restaurant in Chester & been delighted so not sure what is happening in the Prescot outlet.
Very good , staff friendly and welcoming with food very well presented and enjoyable.
Food was great, service a little slow, had to catch peoples attention to order desert and again to get the bill/card machine
Went for the first time and would certainly go again The food was delicious and I would like to point out that the red chilli and garlic prawns, as a starter, was memorable. We had a window table and it would be remiss of me to not mention how fabulously clean the windows were - it was like they weren't there.
I have at times lived, worked and socialized in Prescot for over 30 years. I travelled from Manchester to try Gary Ushers newest adventure having seen the TV show about crowd funding. I have placed a bet in this place in its previous life as a betting shop. Be aware you need to park a short walk away from the restaurant and Prescot is not Hoole, Heswall or Didsbury...
so what’s going on??
Well he has delved into a Liverpool suburb and only time will tell!
It is worth a visit, staff were very friendly, what you do get is unpretentious great food.
King Prawns with the best garlicky chilli hot sauce make sure you save bread to mop up every last drop.
Partners Burrata was fresh and light but most of all tasted great.
My Fearherblade of beef was glorious unctuous triumph, classical bistro food served with the best truffle Parmesan chips. We also tried the chicken which was as good as a home cooked Sunday lunch with pomme Anna and the carrots side delish!
Finally we shared a Pud, Honeycomb ice cream with chocolate sauce , I have never tasted a creamier delight with some honeycomb cinder toffee on the side to crunch away on!
Well Done - Pinion see you all soon for Chapter 2!
Just total quality
Superb food and even better staff, a lovely lunchtime. A bit of noise from the machines digging up the road outside but nothing you can do about that and I guess it will only be there for a few days.
Brilliant meal, we went for Sunday lunch and the food was amazing! Great value too, we’ll be back soon!
