Need to book at 19:00?Other great restaurants with availability.
We arrived slightly earlier than our reservation time however this was no issue and we were seated promptly. We had a fabulous table in the window and our drinks order was taken almost immediately. Waiting staff were extremely friendly, polite and professional and that atmosphere was very relaxed and informal. Menu was fantastic, enough options without being too large. Food was served quickly and everything was piping hot. All food was season to perfection and we both could not fault our meals. Unfortunately we didn't have time for dessert due to our own timings however we will revisit and we look forward to our next evening there.
Lovely enjoyable food , good ambiance , Ecxlent service
Had a lovely meal for my sons birthday, great having a nice restaurant on my doorstep
Our third and now favorite Gary Usher venue. Everything was immaculately clean, the front of house team lovely, the wine great value and of course the food was stunning. As a veggie foodie I really appreciate not been treated as special and having proper options on the menu that are not veggie for veggie's sake. The boy certainly knows how to sex up a cauliflower! Well worth the trip from York but the front window needs sealing otherwise the two front tables will be unusable in winter.
Fabulous food and wonderful service Sunday roast is amazing
Very friendly staff , great food and would definitely recommend it
The food let it down and was nowhere near as good as our dining experience at Kala Manchester. Wanted to try Prescot after seeing the recent tv programme & hoped the food would be as good as Kala. Service was pretty good, friendly staff. Wouldn’t go back. Very average!
Went for Sunday lunch. Very good value for just the 2 of us and no buying, making or washing up is always a great bonus. Starter was excellent and main course (beef) was good but not the same quality as we have at home. Service was very pleasant and relaxed. Good red wine too.
Great food, tried and loved some new flavours. Service was brilliant
Lovely restaurant and amazing food, we went for the three course sunday menu and we were not disappointed!!
Yet another superb meal in Pinion. I’ve been to visiting since launch and tonight we sat in front of the kitchen watching with interest while meals went out. Had an amazing chicken liver pâté and a Kiev with the infamous chocolate mousse. Pinion feels like you’re popping round to a friends for dinner, the staff are absolutely lovely, always friendly and welcoming. If you’ve not visited, please do, because this isn’t a chain, it’s a work of art and you can feel the passion that’s been put into it.
Great food, cosy atmosphere and really lovely staff. Love this place.
Pinion is a real gem, the quality of cooking and presentation is above expectations. The staff friendly and helpful, without being over-bearing. Definitely a welcome addition to the local scene.
Food was amazing .... tables to close together ...
very pricey ...................
Visited 5th oct. Very welcoming and looked after us so well during our meal.
The food was lovely. Would highly recommend this restaurant.
We had a great evening, and will be returning.
Didn't live up to expectations and quite expensive compared to similar bistro style restaurants, especially the beers! One member of the party was unable to eat their main because it was over salted. The parsnip puree was bitter and parsnip crisps, uncrisp. The meal was also tepid in temperature. The website menu does not reflect what is actually served and needs to be kept up to date. The staff were attentive and obliging.
Lovely restaurant, the food was excellent and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Will definitely go again.
Food and service absolutely amazing. Will definitely come again.
Beautiful delicious food and wine. Great staff, the place was packed but very well run.
Absolutely perfect! Great atmosphere, fantastic service and the food..... outstanding! I would highly recommended this restaurant. It was really reasonably priced too, I will definitely be going back.
Lovely venue and atmosphere. Received vouchers as a gift but I felt it was slightly over priced. Would recommend Pinion but unlikely to visit on a regular basis due to price.
Another wonderful night at this amazing bistro!
Fantastic night! Every part of the meal was excellent and the truffle parmesan chips were to die for! Will definitely be back
4th time we’ve been just can’t fault it the food is lovely, nice atmosphere and would certainly recommend it to anyone who hasn’t been,
Pinion is situated in the up n coming town of Prescot. It takes a position in the old market street within the Town, in a disused betting shop. On entering the restaurant it has that bistro feeling, small and quaint, yet appealing to a new and vibrant type of customer. At first glance it appears minimilistic in design but welcoming to all. We were greeted by fantastic, smiling staff, making us feel like we were visiting our friends. The waitress offered over each menu and explained the concept and meal choices to us as we chose.
We opted for the 3 course (6-7pm) early evening menu costing £19 for the 3 courses. We accompanied this with a bottle of house red (£20).
Both me and my wife opted for the same items, boring I know. Pate starter and fish n chips main. Both were gorgeous.
Overall it was a great date night, the atmosphere was lovely and the place was vibrantly full by the time we left at 8.
Wow. The meal and the service were fantastic. I went for lunch with a friend and we both said how amazing the food was. Last month I went to the Ivy in Manchester and had their fish and chips but they were nothing compared to the fish and chips at Pinion.
great little resturant and lovely food and ambiance
Lovely restaurant fantastic service excellent top quality foodl, would highly recommend
The manager and Louise were both excellent. Desserts lacked finesse and the ‘wow’ factor of the savoury dishes
Snug fit sat in the window, unfortunately a lot of work going on outside with contractors laying a new road. Obviously not Pinions fault but very noisy. Everything else was spot on, food was delicious.
Superb food, excellent service by young, energetic and enthusiastic staff. We were upstairs near the kitchen, which although it made it a bit noisy (blowtorches?) gave you an appreciation of just how hard the chefs work. An absolutely brilliant experience. Can't wait to go again.
Brilliant food and service and a stylish but informal environment.
Well done Gary for bringing a great restaurant experience to my home town
WE WERE SEATED NEAR THE DOOR ON THE EMPTY GROUND FLOOR BUT WHEN WE ASKED IF WE COULD BE RELOCATED AWAY FROM THE DOOR WE WERE OFFERED THE TABLE NEXT TO US AND TOLD WE COULD NOT MOVE ANYWHERE ELSE ALTHOUGH THE WHOLE GROUND FLOOR WAS EMPTY APART FROM US. WE WERE FREEZING BECAUSE PEOPLE CAME IN AND HELD THE DOORS OPEN. DURING OUR TIME THERE, ONLY APPROXIMATELY A THIRD OF THE GROUND FLOOR FILLED. BY TIME WE LEFT THERE WERE STILL SEVERAL TABLES FOR TWO SITTING EMPTY AS THEY HAD BEEN WHEN WE WALKED IN. THE FOOD WAS OK, BUT NOT MUCH OF IT. THE TANGY SWEET PEPPER SAUCE DID NOT GO WELL WITH THE LAMB, IT WAS OVERPOWERING.
Food was amazing and staff very friendly will deffo be back and would highly recommend.
Me and my family decided to visit Pinion for Saturday lunch after the airing of the recent C4 documentary ‘The Rebel Chef’. Being fans of the Elite Bistro group we had high expectations.
The restaurant is airy and has a modern and clean feel with inviting wood tables that make this restaurant a great choice for families and large groups as well as couples looking for a accessible yet sophisticated dining environment.
Pinion much like Gary’s other restaurants is about well executed yet simple plates of food that are all about taste and flavour. Our party of 4 had practically everything available from the lunch menu and we were all pleased with the selection on offer with standout dishes being the onion soup, sweet and sour pork chop and creme brûlée.
Service was of a high standard throughout the meal and the front of house staff made us feel welcome and accommodated our requests and did so with a great deal of professionalism. A great knowledge of the menu and drinks offerings helped them elevate our meal and dining experience.
I would definitely recommend Pinion to anyone in the Prescot area or anyone passing through and looking for something exceptional to eat for a reasonable price. The meal was great value and the staff and quality of the food will definitely mean I will be returning sooner rather than later.
Amazing food and service yet again. Our favourite restaurant:)
Outstanding experience with great service and exceptional food. We will be back again soon and we were lucky enough to meet Gary and the rest of the team. The food really is amazing and I can’t wait to go again and try something else from the menu.
Three of us ate there, Nice decor and super service. Chicken Kiev..very dry . Pork with carrots. Nice sweet and sour pork chop but over cooked and dry and tasteless carrots.
The best meal was the vegetarian cauliflower . Overall , the food was very under seasoned and no salt and pepper anywhere to be seen.
Pudding were however excellent.
A little over priced for the standard of food.
Had a fantastic evening, delicious food, lovely relaxed atmosphere and a lovely waitress called Olivia who was super helpful.
Just go, what are you waiting for?!
Fabulous local eatery. High quality food, great value. 7
